Okay the guy is chained when Visser three is feeding. Big whoop! Alloran could just morph something small, wait around for 2 hours rendering his body useless. Or better yet, just morph one of the giant creatures Visser three acquired. Seriously, this makes no sense. What's the worst they'll do to him if he tries? Kill him? That'd work to his advantage! Furthermore, if the other Yeerks are so power hungry, why don't they infest Alloran when Visser three is out of his body then kill Visser three. Considering how the Yeerk society functions, that might be an okay move.

He was probably heavily guarded and locked up or something. Or even sedated. Visser Three would spare no expense to make sure Alloran stayed alive and harmless while he fed.
-
Yeah I'm sure they knock him oyy or paralyze him with some kind of drug while V3 feeds. How long does it normally take for one yeerk to eat?
-
The whole drugging thing is a good point but it did not seem to be that way in the books. I think 'heavily guarded' was what was implied? We do know that the Visser had a small morph from the book where they tried to assassinate him.
-
Obviously Alloran made some attempts to escape in the beginning. My guess is , after being the his to Visser Three for so long, he just accepted his fate.
-
my theory always was that visser 3 ate a fairly small amount of oatmeal, which is why he was so crazy

well...in #30 ax says that if the yeerk sense danger it can just go in or something like that so maybe that's the same with alloran and if her started morphing the yeerk would just go back in.
-
Yeah in the book, K.A. Applegate said Alloran was 'heavily guarded' which could mean anything from knocking him out and guarding him that way, drugging him long enough or stuff like that.
I think he never gave up hope to be free again, but it probably crossed his mind and he did try to kill himself in book #9.

Maybe the Yeerk promised Alloran cinnamon buns if he stayed still while he was feeding? ;D
cinnamon buns > freedom
-
I don't think even cinnamon buns are greater then freedom to anyone, even Ax.

From what I remember, Visser Three only morphed human when he needed to make an appearance at the Sharing, or when he was toying with a bird-boy's hopes and dreams.
I doubt he thought it necessary to dabble in human delicacies.
