Hiya~!
I'm Pyrebird, and a friend of Shenmue directly from meatspace. Herein, I will make a formal introduction to everyone here, not that I expect anyone to actually read this thread!
While slacking off on a final project, I've come here hot on her heels to join in on the insanity at the Galaxy's Edge Space Bar, bother Mar, fool around making new friends, and, uh... bother Mar!
I got interested in Animorphs yeeeears ago in around 4th grade, back when just about everyone and their dog was reading these in school. Yes, back then, dogs went to school, too! I even went ahead and joined the Animorphs Book Club, but my subscription expired after volume 10. I've went back to Animorphs on and off, and read through the Hork-Bajir and Andalite Chronicles, and those funky choose-your-own adventure stories. I also borrowed many titles from the library.
But I never got very far into the series, and so my knowledge is fuzzy and limited. Sure, books cost less than 5 bucks each back then, but the sheer volume of books kinda kept me from going. The rest of my knowledge comes from s-s-s-spoilers! And Shenmue. Thanks, Shenmue (and TVtropes, you bane of time-management)!
I got interested in joining in on the fun at the GESB because it neither required too much knowledge of the ins-and-outs of the series, and I can try to gain said knowledge through the use of an OC, anyways. Expect to see me more at the GESB OOC topic.

I mean, um, welcome to RAF! I'm sure Bear, Myth, Seal and a few others will be along before too long to welcome you too, BUT I GOT HERE FIRST! XD Theres this thing going on, its a race to be the first to welcome new people to RAF.
Anyway, most of the people on here are awesome, but a little insane, Seal will come collect your sanity from you. We're all one big dysfunctional happy RAFfamily here. I can't wait to see some of your writing!

I've heard about some of you (ok, your characters) back and forth via AIM with Shenmue, and she has... apparently mentioned me more than I imagined! I'm otherwise known as Meg, Kellybelly's annoying bespectacled friend. *waves*

I'm just a boring meatbag Asian girl, who dreams about spaceships and flying. And my flight dreams, curiously, tend to follow the laws of physics outside of the ability to fly. I also play videogames and daydream very vividly.
As such, I suppose I am a fine role-player, if I do say so myself. *ego stroke*

Oops! I never officially welcomed you. Well, hey-lo, Pyre! I'm Mythgirl, RAF's resident sugar-happy dryad, but you can call me Myth. You can deposit any sugar and/or shiny things you have in this bin right here. *points to bin*
As you may have already noticed, RAF is a very welcoming and accepting place. Here you can be anything you want, whether it's a dryad (like me!), a talking seal, an Andalite, or anything else in the whole wide world, or you can just be a human.
Well, welcome to RAF. Enjoy your stay, because once you come, you can never leave. As Ghost said in my introduction: RAF is like Hotel California. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

<Thank you! As for the grocery thing, yes, that used to be rather difficult. But it got a lot easier when I found out that most grocery stores also have automatic walls. You just walk through them, and they fall right down! It's so convenient!>

Howdy! I'm Bear, if ya didn't guess already. I'm looking forward to seeing you in the GESB. Currently, I'm playing an oatmeal-addicted brain slug and his geeky architect host. They're rather entertaining, at least to me. (I would advise not bringing Spinosaurus into the GESB, btw. Let's just say I speak from experience. >.<)

And hiya, Marie! ..... If you don't watch it, Van might flirt with Elayne. Fun stuff, but it's kind of what he does. He's actually a bit of a tease, so the idea of him being a space pirate of any renown is always a little hard for people to imagine. And he knows it.

Hey, Pyre. Welcome to RAF officially, I guess. I already know you're awesome and that you'll fit right in, so I guess I'll just give you my standard advice to new members ^_^
Hang out. Spend some time exploring the boards. There's a lot more to RAF than just the GESB (though that is one of my favorite bits). Most of the forum's appeal comes from its amazing people. The rest of the appeal comes from everything there is to do and discuss. The more you look around, the more you'll like, promise.
