Title: Animorphs Inspired Some of Spongebob?

Ok, anyone who's seen Spongebob Squarepants probably knows about Plankton. My question is: Was Nickelodeon inspired by KA's Helmacrons for Plankton's design? Think about! He's small, boisterous, and wants to take over the world. Also, much in the same way as the Helmacrons, he comes off as something of a mild pest, a nuisance but nothing else. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

And Stephen Hillenburg probably designed Plankton after Phyto/Zooplankton, or possibly a Copepod.

I'm just trying to point out there are some interesting parallels between Plankton and the Helmacrons.

I don't know anything about Spongebob, but I think it's safe to say that if you look hard enough you'll find similarities between almost anything. Sorry Zakryn but I don't really see the point of this thread, as there isn't really anything to discuss after acknowledging vague similarities between them.

Goom stole my thunder, i believe that it's called The Napoleon Complex, and its quite common among most villians in popular culture. Pinky and the Brain is one of the closest comparisons i can think of.
