Title: Greetings
Post by: Kelran-Isthinar on August 02, 2008, 11:41:38 PM
Having poked about, met some people, engaged in some wonderful discussions, and joined an RP. I have decided to maintain a commitment to this forum for a longer period.   :)

This decided I think its time to post one of these.  :P

In terms of animorphs itself, I heard about it way back when it became a TV show, the idea intensely intrigued me, but it dissapeared in the wake of a Star Trek obsession (which has not ceased to this day  ;D  ::) )

I rediscovered it about 5 months ago on a trip out of country. I hadnt packed enoug books and began to look for interesting e-books, and thats how I found RAF. I ate through the animoprhs books and online episodes in short order, and decided to look in on the forums, and so ended up here.  :)

And so, I share the following sentiment; "Live long, and prosper"

Even though you've been here for a few days now; welcome. I hope you enjoy it here.

Thank you :)

As for having been a few days before posting this, its my standard procedure now, I apologize if its a little outside the norm  ;)
I learned the hard way once that, at least for me, its better to test the waters before putting down roots....

Like to? yes... but its not possible just now. I dont have a decent mic or the bandwidth to send audio data with any alacrity. :(

Native RAFians: Is it just me, or does this individual speak in much the same manner that I do?

Kelran-Isthinar: It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Este, the local bibliophile.
Tempus fugit? Quam valde verus! Tempus fugit, vero.

Heh...sorry. I love Latin.

I like to think of it as 'smart people talk'. :)

Welcome to RAF.

Admittedly I have a tendency to use idiosyncratically eccentric phraseology.  >:D  ;D
As for Latin, I used to study it, but the only languages Im concentrating on right now are programming languages, Tempus fugit has to be an exception though as its one of my favorite Star Trek quotables.  8)
Beware the Trek Obession Syndrome.... :P

Another Trekkie who may or may not be half-Vulcan??
Superlative!! Let us continue to indulge in our precocious verbiage, perhaps? You seem easily as loquacious as I am, and it has been a dreadfully long time since I've been able to communicate with anyone in 'my own language', so to speak.

As I've said, it is a true pleasure to meet you! ;D ;D ;D

As languages go, I'm addicted to Tolkien's two Elvish forms, Quenya and Sindarin, as well as ha'Shmla from Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' Kiesha'ra series.

Just may or may not be half Vulcan, or part Romulan, it is theoretically impossible to discern my true genetic heritage without an intensive micro-cellular analysis conducted in a sophisticated medical bay.  ;)

Most indubitably!  :)
I have no other native language than that of the scholar or the machine, languages so incredible in their interwoven artful complexities, that they produce immense and oft amusing obfuscation of clarity when viewed by others.  >:D

Indeed it is also likewise a pleasure to meet you!  ;D

Pulchritude is only so profound as the epidermis, but true prodigiosity is a constant in those who posess it.

And more vital even than one's physical, racial, or genetic heritage is one's emotional, spiritual, cultural, and familial heritage.
More important still are one's choices and how they shape the future of these components of us......

Individuals inhabiting domiciles of a vitreous nature should not employ petrifous articles as projectiles!!
