Title: Just messing around with 3D text in photoshop

I just got 3D features in photoshop CS5 extented working, something I thought I never could with my video card, but a recent update has changed that.

Its not very intuitive, but heres something I whipped up. thought it turned out pretty cool. I guess I wanted it to look like a high budget logo for a movie or something.

Cool! Just out of curiosity (I think if I remember correctly you did that DVD case design for the television series, right?) are you a graphic designer or did you study it a little in school?

That was me, yes. but no I'm not. Not yet anyway. Never had any type of schooling for it, I just try to learn about these things on my own.
I might have a interview for a graphic design position next week though at a place called decal girl. fingers crossed that I get it, Ive never had a real job.

That's cool. Honestly all of the "big" stuff I've learned to do in programs like InDesign, AfterEffects, Photoshop, etc. I've taught myself as well. I wish my school's teaching was a bit more tech oriented rather than concept. Good luck on the interview. Designing skins looks like it would be a pretty fun job. I've never had a "real" job either and I'm scared ****less for what I'll do once I graduate.

Well I wouldn't be designing them, rather adapting premade designs to fit hundreds of other devices.
