((Chad, we can do our rescue mission in this thread. I'll copy my last post over here.))
As the bug nears earth Kevlin cloaks it. "Temrash. If anyone stops us I cansay I'm with intelligence that usually shuts them up. We could even use that if anyone recognizes Dara."
-
Temrash's cloaked ship neared the planet at a point farthest away from Yeerk surveillance. According to his spies, Del was station in the main pool complex. They would have to go in, find her, and get out.
"There are likely to be bio filters at the entrances, but Yeerk and Hork-Bajir DNA should be incoded in. There is an entrance we can use in the woods, under a tree. We'll both likely need camoflauge, since I'm rather recognizable too."
-
"Make up is not a reliable disguise. Trust me I know. It runs when exposes to heat or moisture." <<I've caught people because of that>> <<So what do we do?>> We use holograms.>> "I do always carry around a holoprojector or two in the suitcase."
-
"I won't argue if you doubt the use of makeup, though the guards are more used to hologram projectors being used as disguises than other things. We'll try the hologram projectors first. You'll have to find Del, since you know what she looks like. I'll pack a few things in case the mission goes bad and we need to escape."
-
"Ok. The holoprojectors are in the suit case. Kevlin brought the ship down in a clearing near the entrance. <<You ready>> <<As I'll ever be.>>
-
Temrash got the hologram projectore, and set it to make him look different. He went to the tree, and looked for the switch where his subordinates said to should be, and it opened. "Let's go." He said, and made his way down.
As they went down, he heard the familiar screams of a people whose will had not yet been broken by Yeerk rule. He even heard noises of Hork-Bajir, who must have found some reason for renewed hope in rescue. Was it the Humans that did it, or was it the rumored Free Hork-Bajir Valley that had been going around? In any case, Del should be around.
"We can check near the cages first to see if she's inside. Otherwise she's likely under the control of a patrolling Yeerk. We'll also want to keep an eye out for Visser Three. If he's here, we'll want to know where he is at all times. I've fought him before, but there's no telling what kind of morph he might choose for a fight."
-
Kevlin used the holoprojector to change his appearenc so that no one would recognize Dara. He followed Temrash down the stairs. "Dara has seen enough of Visser Three's morphs between punishing subordinates and fighting the andalites." They (Kevlin and Dara) walked into view of the pool and noticed that the seemed to be some sort fight going on. <<Great, we walked in during an Andalite bandit attack now we have to watch out for them as well as Visser Three.>> <<At least we'll know where the Visser is.>> "We chose a bad time to come Temrash."
-
"Andalite bandits. Interesting. Looks like we have a made-to-order distraction. Let's check the cages. Hopefully Del won't be near the fight. If she is...we'll improvise something."
He went to the cages, and there were a dozen or so Hork-Bajir in there. However any of the females could be Del. Some of the hosts, Hork-Bajir and Human, were rooting for the Andalites to win.
"Wait...is that Elfangor over there? I thought he was dead! Though he looks a bit small to be Elfangor. I wonder if he had any younger siblings.
-
<<Are any of these your mom?>> <<No... I don't see her. We could add to the chaos by releasing these Hork-Bajir.>> <<I'll ask Temrash.>> "Should we release these Hork-Bajir? It could add to the Pandemoneum."
-
"If anyone sees us doing it, they'll know we're up to no good. On the other hand, standing here while the others fight the Andalites is suspicious too. Hmm. Looks like the Andalites might need some help." He said. when he thought no one was watching, he stepped between the cages, and shot the locks with his dracons horizontally. The doors swung open, and freed hosts started running out.
"We need to find Del. She might be fighting the Andalites." He said. He started making his way towards where the bandits were fighting so Kevlin could get a better look at who was engaging them. "If you see her, you'll need to grab her and run. I think I can pull the fight away by running in and grabbing one of the smaller warriors."
-
Kevlin ran towards the fight trying to look like he was going to help. He retrieved a memory of what Del looked like from Dara's memory. He noticed her! In a group of Hork-Bajir near Visser three. Kevlin moved over to Temrash. "I found her! But she's surround by other Hork-Bajir near Visser three he turned to point her out and froze. Visser three was morphing! "What is that?!"
-
"Close to Visser Three, eh? I don't suppose Del got your old job, Dara? The guards should fan out a little after Visser Three finishes his morph, though I'd prefer to not send you over next to that guy." Temrash thought about what he might do. Visser Three was morphing something big and muscular, whaich was typical of the coward. Always wanting to have a clear advantage in a fight. What were the Andalites trying to do, anyway? What was their goal? Could he use that to any advantage?
-
"I could make my way over and mingle with the Hork-Bajir near her." <<Since your mom is a seer also that shouldn't be such a surprise to you.>> <<I know but still she wasn't when I was there. My escaping must have left an opening.>>
-
"Okay, but be careful. I'll try to stay as close as possible to help you out. In the meantime, I'd better go pick a fight with an Andalite to keep suspicion off me." Temrash said as he got closer to the bandits. The biggest had the morph of a large brown mammalian creature. he ran over and sliced at it, purposefully missing by a narrow margin. It looked like the creature didn't have great eyesight, but she still turned towards him and tried to take his head off with a paw. He nimbly dodged her blows, and danced the dangerous dance of making it look like he was trying to kill her, without actually crippling her.
-
Kevlinworked his way over to the body guards. Del had moved to the back! The others charged but Kevlin grabbed Del. "The Visser wants you to do something. Follow me." Kevlin acted like he was going to try and outflank the Andalites and the Yeerk controlling Del fell for it. She followed him behind some buildings. He turned and drew the stun gun and shot her, knocking her out for a good hour. He raced around and almost ran into the back of a large humanoid creature with black fur Wichita Kevlin recognized as a gorrilla. The gorrilla turned and Kevlin slashed at his arms and called to Temrash. "I got her." He dodge a powerful swing.
-
"Get her to the ship!" Temrash said. Though as he turned to run, the striped feline jumped on him, and tried to drag him to the ground. As he fought it off, the hologram projector was somehow damaged. The image changed to his natural form, just as Visser Three was moving in on the Andalites. There was a moment of silence as both the bandits and the Visser saw him as a different person.
<What the-?> One of the bandits said, but was interrupted by the Visser.
<YOU! What are you doing here, traitor!?>
The bandits quickly back off, either out of fear of the Visser's wrath in his new form as a hulking behemoth, or out of respect that he was apparently against their sworn enemy.
"Who, me? Just passing through." He didn't make eye contact with Kevlin, but hoped he would just take del and leave. It was important not to lose the mission. the Visser was hesitant to attack. chaos had broken loose as the freed hosts were fighting, plus the Andalites were all around, and a rebel known for his combat expertise.
<You would not be here unless you were after something? Why are you here? It was Visser One, wasn't it? Trying to undermine me as best she can.>
"Hey, she had a crush on me. Not the other way around."
<WHY ARE YOU HERE!?>
"Always so antsy, aren't you? See, that's what you get for taking the body of a genocidal maniac."
-
Kevlin ran and dragged Del to the top of the stairs and then ran back. He stood next to Temrash. <<Let me fight.>> <<When it starts.>> "You not getting him." Kevlin switched off his holoprojector and let Dara take control. Visser three roared. <You the runaway!> Dara replied, "Yep, it's me!" Quietly to Temrash he added, "He has aweak point in this morph behind the ankle, a tendon."
-
"You shouldn't have come back. But thanks." Temrash said. Visser Three charged, but Temrash threw a smoke bomb at him. The cloud of smoke covered him, and allowed Temrash to rush closer and go for the weak area. The skin was indeed thinner in that area, and when Temrash slashed it, a large gash was made. The bodyguards tried to move in, but the bandits started attacking again.
"We got what we came for. No reason to stick around. Even if we manage to kill him, his subordinates will have every reason to chase us until we or they are dead." He said, and started backing away.
-
"I'm coming!" Dara Jumped and slashed the Vissers face narrowly avoiding his claw on the way down. He landed and ran for the stairs, the Visser hot on his trail.
-
"Get to the ship and start it up. I'll hold him off." Temrash said as the hall got narrow enough that the Visser's large morph was at a disadvantage.
<I will have you in my torture room before I hand you over to the Emporer for a promotion.>
"Your torture room, huh? What, are you getting bored without your little Andalite controller toy?"
That stopped him again. <How do you know about that!?>
"Oh, I'm sorry. Was that supposed to be a secret? You may as well stop waiting for your pet to come back. I doubt you'd see her back alive."
<You have her? Trying to use her for your own gains? Was it you that stole Zorish and her sister from me!? My forces mentioned a modified Andalite cruiser that came.>
"Stalling is fun, isn't it?"
At that, the Visser attacked, though with his current wounds and lack of elbow room, he was unable to use his size against Temrash. They fought on the stairs while Temrash waited to hear the familiar sounds of his ship firing up.
-
Kevlin reached the top of the stairs and scooped up Del and ran into the ship. He laid Del down a punched a few buttons to start the ship. He then moved over nearer the exit. <<You just had to ruin the fun. We couldn't stay and fight.>> <<We have what we came for no need to fight anymore.>> <<Fine.>> Dara conceded.
-
Temrash made it out of the tunnel, and Kelvin could likely hear the pain and rge of Visser Three in the pit. He got inside the ship, excusing himself as he took the pilot's seat, and lifted off. He then blasted the entrance for good measure, and made for orbit. The bugfighters in the air tried to keep them from leaving, but his sleek and custom ship flew circles around them and Temrash made his escape.
-
Once they were out of danger Kevlin sat down and faced Temrash. "What are we going to do about Del's Yeerk? Neither Dara nor I wish to bring her back to the bar while she is controlled by an Imperial. Visser fifteens Poolship isn't too far away we could take her there until we get rid of the Yeerk."
-
"We will offer the Yeerk a chance to join me. If not, I think we can just let her go. I don't think she knows anything worth killing her over. Just that I now have possession of Del, which Visser Three is bound to find out one way or another once the body doesn't show up. Making a detour to Visser Fifteen's Pool ship may be best. I doubt anyone is still following us, since this ship is geared towards escape and hiding."
They made their way towards Visser Fifteen's airspace, and Temrash stepped back to let Kevlin do the talking. Not all of Visser Fifteen's crew worked for him, so it was best they not know Temrash 946 was in the area. Kevlin could make up any excuse for the new ship, and his position would keep anyone from asking questions.
-
Kevlin contacted Visser fifteen and arranged for them to have a private room to use to talk to Del's Yeerk. "Here, you can use my holoprojector." He tossed the projector to Temrash. He brought the ship down for a landing. <<It's tough seeing my mom right there and knowing that if she woke up she wouldn't talk like my mom.>> <<We'll get her free don't worry.>> Kevlin lowered the ramp and picked up Del and carried to the room where they would talk.
-
(Visser 15, you mean. :P)
Inside the room, Temrash restrained Del and woke her up.
"Where am I? What is going on?" She demanded.
"You have been captured by none other than Temrash 946. The former Visser 8."
"Wh-What do you want with me?"
"Your host is of value to me. What value I don't care to say. However, instead of killing you right now for serving the corrupt Council of Thirteen, I am offering you a chance to work for me. Accept, and you will be given to one of my loyal Yeerks so they can watch you for a while. Decline, and I will let you go. However, you must give up your host." He said as he pushed a container of liquid loser to her on the table she was next to.
"I will...consider it." She said, and exted her host. Del was free. Temrash didn't free her just yet, as he didn't know exactly how she would react to having control over her body.
-
Del turned and looked at Dara/Kevlin. "Dara? Are you....free?"
"Yes and no. Here I'll let you talk to him." "Mom, it's me Dara. I'm safe. Fine, even. Kevlin is part of the rebellion and agreed to help me find you."
"Where is he?" Dara tapped his head.
"I see. We'll talk about the wisdom of that decission later." She turned to Temrash. "You must be the 'nefarious' Temrash Visser Three rants about. You're not half as incompetent as the Visser makes you sound."
-
"Thank you. You are well spoken." Temrash said as he released her bonds. She seemed rather level headed so far. "You can't be a Seer, can you? What are the odds of a Seer giving birth to another Seer? I have been helping Dara, as my host Jagill is a friend of your husband. Not to mention that helping his people is of interest to me as well as stopping the Council."
-
"About a million to one chance, but it happened. How is Kyro?"
"Ma'am, He should I'm this ship. Should I ask him to com here?
"I would like that."
Kevlin walked over to a computer access panel and sent a request to visser fifteen to send Kyro.
-
Temrash took the Imperial Yeerk out of the room, and under the guise of his hologram, went to a room where he'd meet visser Fifteen and talk things over with him.
-
Kevlin turned back to face Del. "I will let you talk to Dara with out me. I'll be right back." He walked over to the table where there was a container of liquid. He put Dara's hand to his ear and squirmed out. Dara placed him in the container and turned to face Del. "It's good to see you." "It's good to see you, too. Now why did you have another Yeerk in your head." "Kevlin isn't like other yeerks. He doesn't shove menin a corner of my mind. He let's me talk and move. I've decided that me and Kevlin are going to be partners. I just want to know if you and Dad are going to want to go to the rebellion and be Yeerk free or work for Temrash and have a Yeerk." "I don't know. Let me talk it over with your dad." At that moment Kyro came in. "Dara," Del requested, "can We hve some time to talk alone?" "Sure thing." Dara turned and reached into the container and put Kevlin back in his ear and walked out.
-
With all Temrash's work done, he decided to simply wait at his ship until he was called, or Dara and crew came back.
-
Dara re-entered the room and Del turned to face him. "We've decided to join you, but first we must make sure we are ok the Yeerk we get." "That's great. Let's go find Temrash." They walked to the ship and Dara told Temrash that his parents would join him.
-
"I always appreciate more loyal allies, and I assure you that the Yeerks I pick will be fair with you. It looks like this is mission accomplished. I will be headed back to the Space Bar. If any of you want to come, you may. Otherwise you may stay here in the service of Visser Fifteen."
-
"Kyro and I will stay here." Del replied. "Good-bye Mother, Father. See you soon." Dara turned to Temrash, "Kevlin and I are returning with you."
-
"Very well." Temrash said. His facial expression changed momentarily as Jagill said goodbye. "Nice see you again Kyro. You be well. Del too. We take good care of Dara."
After they all said their goodbyes, Temrash lifted off and headed back to the Space Bar.
"All things considered, I think that went very well. We had a little excitement, but nothing we couldn't handle." Temrash said.
-
"Yes it went quite well." Kevlin replied. "I was just telling Dara about the time when we almost got eaten by that giant plant, remember?"
-
"Giant plant...oh yeah. You settle down in a nice spot away from Andalites and decide to have a snack, and your food bites back. Heh heh. Herbivores aren't supposed to have to worry about their food trying to eat them. I remember the casualty rate being high on both sides in that jungle just from those cursed plants."
-
"The way I remember it you were the one taking the snack, after all to Georges stomach raw plants were not suitable."
-
"Hard for me to deny I was the one to make the plant angry when Humans don't typically east bark straight off the tree. You live and learn."
-
"Good times. Good times. We should be arriving at the bar soon, right?" Kevlin asked.
((Should we closethis thread down and return to the bar should something unexpected happen like we get attacked.))
-
I think we're ready to return to the bar. Any Mod reading this may close the thread. Thanks.
