Just Loren ;D I wish I could tell you all about myself, but i'll just stick to how I ended up here. The summer of 1996, I was 11 years old and out shopping with my mother. Being an avid bookworm since birth, I wandered around the book section and was taken by a cover of a boy turning into a lizard. Oh, and look, there's a girl turning into a cat! And here's someone else turning into a bird! Cool! I begged my mom to buy these books, and was immediately engrossed. It only took me halfway through The Invasion to start looking at my father very suspiciously when he scratched his ears. My mother going off alone to the grocery store was an obvious rouse to cover her trip to the Yeerk Pool.
From that fateful day, Animorphs engrossed my life. Every month meant a breathless trip to the bookstore. When the television show premiered on Nickelodeon, I had a slumber party to celebrate with my friends. These characters became a part of me. I strived to be as brave as Rachel, as sensitive as Tobias, and as funny as Marco. I shook with emotion when I read about Elfangor falling in love with loren. I wept when Tobias finally contacted his mother. By the time the series ended, I was in college, and freely admit to sobbing in my dorm room for 30 minutes after Rachel's death. I made many online friends from the Animorphs community, and used to play on this site regularly until "adulthood" took over. Then, lo and behold, I saw an ad on my Facebook page stating the books are being re-released! Amazing!! Memories started pouring in and I found myself here, meeting all of you and grateful to have a place to share my love of these amazing books.

Hey Loren! Nice to meet you! I'm Jackie/hawkgirl. I feel the same way you do about the books. When Rachel died, I remember sobbing in my room until I cried myself to sleep. I think you are really gonna enjoy it here. But be prepared to lose your sanity.... ;D

Hi Loren, welcome to the forum. We're a pretty crazy bunch, but once you get over that you'll see we're friendly people and we have a lot of fun around here. Hopefully you will too. :)

Hey, Loren ^_^ I'm Aluminator, or Scott. I can tell already that I'm going to enjoy having you on the forum. Your intro post here just got me all nostalgic about Animorphs once again :D
Anyway, as long as you're here, spend some time trawling the boards. There's so much here, you're bound to find plenty of discussions to jump into.

i'm overwhelmed by the welcome! ;D I have to say, it's not only great having a group like this, but this forum is actually ACTIVE! That to me says it all - almost 15 years later and this place is jumping! i'm so excited!
