Title: <Greetings!>
Post by: Semeir-Cooraf-Armaheen on November 03, 2010, 09:27:22 PM
I'm not new to Animorphs, but I'm new to this forum. How is everybody doing?

Long ago when Yahoo had chat rooms and you could log in using Cheetachat, I used to RP as an Andalite by the same name I use to log in here. She had her own fanfic, but it comes off as Sue-ish when I look back on it, so I'll probably update it a bit to "grow it up."

I'm a 30 year old overgrown child :P

Elfangor is my favorite, but I like Ax and the other Andalites, too.

It's great to be here. I'll probably lurk and post here and there.

Howdy! I hope you don't value your sanity much, 'cuz it doesn't last long here.

( I hope that lines not becoming too cliche...)

How'd you find RAF?

I've only been here for about two months, and I've already spent ... 5 days, 12 hours and 6 minutes on here. I suffer from a social deficiency...

Actually, it's not.  Yeerkish neurons are spread throughout neurocyte body mass, so effectively our brain-to-body mass ratio is...nevermind, your sad little grass-eating mind wouldn't understand.

Myitt, I thought we said we didn't fight against the grass-eaters Andalites on RAF. They don't even deserve our conversation...

Well, Semeir, even if you're a gra...a...Andalite, wHELLcome.
I'm Vis... I'm Dameg, another RAFian. Come with me, please, I have something to show you. It's here, after this door *Open a heavy door* We call them the RAFprojects. *Lead Semeir to a long and dark hallway, with many doors, some in the dark, some with light coming from the other side. Arrive near the first door* Here at your left...

- RAFipedia: http://rafipedia.wetpaint.com/ (http://rafipedia.wetpaint.com/), an encyclopedia headed up by Estelore, our star (a true star, who make light and burn in space... but she has a body to come on Earth);

Next it's...

- the Audiobooks project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=15.0 (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=15.0), a full-cast audio version of Animorphs who need more "actors" and voices, headed by Kit Cloudkicker (Jess), MrGuy, Morfowt, and Wildweathel;

Facing it...

- the Graphic Novel project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,416.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,416.0.html) and http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,2276.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,2276.0.html), a Webcomic headed by Gafrash.

You also have...

- the Smiley project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1691.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1691.0.html), we make Animated gifs, smileys about Animorphs (Andalites, Hork-Bajirs...);

here and facing it is...

- the Translation project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1907.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1907.0.html), a recently started project/mutual support group for translations into other languages; currently only in French (Tocade, Anidragon and myself), Chinese (Morfowt), Indonesian (Nat), Swedish (Mira and Zana), and Esperanto (Wildweathel); we translate only the volumes never edited in our countries/languages, to make the ebooks;

Next door is for the special project:

- http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3738.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3738.0.html): the adventures of the RAFians;

At the end it's for the little projects:

- the http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3810.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3810.0.html);

- the http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3911.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3911.0.html) to make the planets we hear about in Animorphs;

- the paper-RPG project: a role-playing game (on table, with paper, pen and dices...) about the World of Animorphs; I head this project, and it'll be write in French at the beginning, but we need help to find, class and write everything we know about the species, the planets, the powers we see in Animorphs, fix them, see what we keep and what we can't keep (because of the KASU, not clear, exception for the main characters/books, etc.), complete the knowledges about species/planets we know and even create new species/planets...; this project will be on my own website, so if you wanna join, ask me the link ^^;

- the RPG project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,4069.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,4069.0.html) to make a video game about Animorphs, with RPGmaker;

- the Command-line game project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3787.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3787.0.html) for another kind of video game about Animorphs;

- the http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3773.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3773.0.html) where we count all the people killed by the Animorphs;

- the RAFkaraoke: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3150.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3150.0.html) and http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3635.msg245735.html#msg245735 (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3635.msg245735.html#msg245735), where we make songs (and sing them?)...

- the One RAFian On Volume project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=5317.0 (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=5317.0) where everybody take a picture of him/herself with a volume of Animorphs... <= We need a lot of RAFians to participate! You only need a volume of Animorphs (rented if you don't have any) & a camera/webcam

and some other projects who come and go. Please check the list: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/board,13.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/board,13.0.html)

*Standing in front of Semeir* I hope you enjoyed your visit. Oh, and I also invite you to add your species on this list: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,2154.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,2154.0.html) 'coz everybody isn't Human here. And we like to know who is what... For example, as you'll probably see, I'm a Controller. ... and if you want, you can add your age too: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,318.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,318.0.html)... and say where do you live here: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=5049.0 (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=5049.0) so Marie can add you on the RAFworld Map!
We also opened a http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=36.0 (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=36.0) to teach to each others our languages and other stuffs.

Now I have to go, and of course I don't invite you for the meal... *Beginning to go down dark stairs. Semeir can hear a cry coming from the cave.* ...except if you wish it... we can do an exception... even if... Well, I like to think my husband is unique. *Stepping downer*
Have fun!
*Dameg disappears into the darkness, Semeir is now alone in the hallway*

Hey Semeir ^_^ Sorry for my delayed response here. It's a side effect of how awesome this forum is. I'm currently in the midst of my third road trip in the last few months, all of which have involved seeing members of this forum. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is, a lot of the people here are amazing :D

And that's in addition to the forum itself. I highly recommend you... do exactly what you said you would do, actually. Lurk a bit, hang out, read some topics, find discussions to jump into. Although I'd be okay with you jumping in more often, as you seem very cool ^_^

Actually, it seems like you're doing quite well with that already anyway, so can I just say I look forward to seeing you around?

Welcome to RAF!
