Worrrrd.
Although, props to the Applegrant estate if Animorphs is still being read in a thousand years ;)

saamoz610 was just wondering if we thought that someday, Andalite tech will be old fashioned stuff to us. Will our great grand children someday be reading these books and say, "Wow, when was this written, the 2970's?", kind of like when we watch the Wizard of Oz and laugh at the special effects? Or when we laugh 'cuz Yoda was a puppet in the original star wars?
In response to your topic... I dunno, could morphing ever be considered 'out-dated'? Maybe people will say "A time limit, what's up with that?"
Honestly, I don't think time travel will be possible (shouldn't we be seeing some time tourists by now?...) so some of this stuff will probably still be hi-tech.

"Wait, you still travel by zero-space?? That is so slow! Did it take you, what, a month to get to Old Earth? What, more?! You're so old-fashioned, traveling physically."

That's always what people say when discussing the possibility of time travel, but maybe the time travellers are just being secretive about it? Then again, if someone walked up to you in the street and claimed to be from the future, would you believe them? :P
One theory is that maybe when time travel is eventually created it, requires two devices to work: one at your starting point and one at your target destination. Think of it as being the only person on the planet who owns a phone (the phone itself is useless without at least one other phone to call).

.... so wait... you could (theoretically) only travel back to when the first time machine was made? What if you had two right next to each other and time-traveled from one to the other? And what if... :explode: ... for some reason this is confusing me a little....
-
I refuse to timetravel or teleport after having watched The Fly. *shiver*

It' would make sense if you could only travel back to the time when their were reciver nodes. Hmm. Hmm. But wait...! *Goes off to work on complex mathematical formula to allow time travel to any period of time.*
