I'll be gone this weekend, heading north with my Boy Scout troop. I won't be going exactly over the border, but I'll be staying pretty much on it. So between the U.S. and the Great White North.
It's called the "Brotherhood". It's basically a weekend of camping where we do a bunch a patch trading. I had a ton from Oregon, but I can't find them. They're still packed up. :'( There's always next year.
I have 2...maybe three to trade. My Oregon ones, when I find them, will hopefully be worth something. I bet they've never seen any from there before.
I'll try to get some pictures to show you guys.
There's gold in them thar' waters....

And when you've finished that, you can review Chapter 6 of Mind Games. Because it WILL be up by then. Well, actually, it'll probably be up tomorrow.

Oh yeah, I want to see pictures! Have fun ^^ Don't kill too many other Boy Scouts... or at least don't be taken for doing so ;)

Patch trading? What is this sorcery of which you speak?

Patch trading? What is this sorcery of which you speak?
Where the patches of different camps are magically swapped hands, and therefore owners. The secret to this magic is a closely guarded secret...

^^ What he said. Every camp and council has its own unique uniform patch that they make, and many change every year (if only in the year numbers shown on the patch sometimes.) Many scouts will buy as many patches as they can from local camps, and then trade those for more exotic patches to other scouts from distant lands, such as Canada, or Oregon, or Vermont, or Texas, or Japan. My own patch collection is pretty pathetic, but some of the boys manage to gather multiple hundreds of patches from all over the scouting world.
