All right, so I've allready read through the whole series (multiple times), and gosh darn, I want some more! So, I figured I would check out some of the fanfics that are out there. Problem is, I've read a couple, and some of them are really good, but more often than not I start reading a fanfic only to find out that its a bunch of mindless drivel that doesn't even connect to the Ani universe, it's just the directionless fantasies of a random fan and I'm stuck wishing I could get a couple minutes of my life back.
Anybody got any suggestions? What's your favorite fanfic?

The Neomorphs series is quite good. It basically starts off where Animorphs ended and continues the story of the Animorphs, with some twists of course.
The series has some moral issues, so I wouldn't recommend it for any younger children, but on the whole it's a good series. Probably the best part is that it's still being written, although the author hasn't done much with it lately due to problems IRL.
There's also a lot of good fanfiction on fanfiction.net, although some of the stories there are incomplete or just downright weird.

You know, even though it's not the best written, and the main character is a total Mary-Sue, but I still can't help but love The Shifter Chronicles, by Annamorph. They're very hard to find, though, and a lot of them are unfinished... Technically this fanfic did everything wrong, but I love them.

I just found what could easily become my all-time favorite fanfiction: Angels Rush In (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6145340/1/Angels_Rush_In).
It's a series of Marco's thoughts & reactions to Rachel's death, and (IMHO) is almost as moving as Rachel's scene with the Ellimist in #54/TEC.

Chapter Two is great. It's not really as indepth as some of HPC's other stuff, but the characters are perfect. I think.

Quillian is great, love those fics. I also love fics by Cattivo and Qoheleth. And, of course, our own Anijen21 is fabulous. :)
Of course I can self-promote too, but my Animorphs fanfiction tends to veer away from the Animorphs themselves and into the larger war. :) Anyways, you can find any of those names on fanfiction.net

Personally, I love Tom and Jerry (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3165224/1/Tom_and_Jerry) by Kaz456. It's a brilliant look at how warped and jaded Jake is post-war.
This Heat (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5520202/1/This_Heat) by GhostRedone has some really lovely prose, and an interesting take on Marco's thoughts on Rachel post-war. Angsty as hell, but very interesting. Rated M, for the record.
O For Muse of Shredder Fire (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6094638/1/O_For_a_Muse_of_Shredder_Fire) by Alikat522 is my favorite Ax and Tobias one-shot ever. Just a very cute, nerdy drabble about their thoughts on Shakespeare.

I just read that - it's awesome. The dually friendly/antagonistic way the Marc/Ax/Tobias relationship is portrayed is really cool, and really realistic.

Does anyone know where to find any stories focusing on Gafinilan and Mertil? I've been all over the place and haven't found one. I don't care if it's slash or not.

Y'know, thinking on it, MusicMan88 and some other fanfics are so far out of their age group and genre I'm pretty sure they could safely read it without getting in trouble for plagiarizing anywhere down the line :P
Would totally pay to see their horror and other reactions to reading some of those stories.

It's been a while since I read a fanfic about David, called The Revenge. Can't remember from where nor from whom it was by. But it was a befitting narrative about David surviving the island ordeal and regaining his morphing powers via Cryak and a change to get revenge on all the Anis. The fanfic author made it so it fit the post-#23 events and it was really creative. Personally a more honest take on the character than the last time we got to see him in the series.
One of my favorites.
