...Okay, this might be a bit of a stretch, but bear with me here. After rereading a good chunk of Animorphs lately around the same time as I was playing the Xbox 360 remake of Perfect Dark, one of my favorite games ever, me and my boyfriend started noticing all of these little similarities...
1. There's a Ketran named Farsight in The Ellimist Chronicles.
2. The whole plot around the David trilogy with the Yeerks trying to kidnap the president off Marine One, and Visser Three morphing into a "clone" of him.
3. Aliens infiltrating the NSA
4. Both have version of the "Greys" - Maians and Skrit Na
5. There's a navy admiral named Carrington in book #46
Perhaps I'm just a nerd (well, that's a given) but I couldn't help but notice these things. The time periods add up too - Perfect Dark came out in 2000. Makes me wonder whether KAA's kid was playing it at the time, and she picked up a few ideas from the game. There are tons of other popular culture references in the series (one of the things I love about it, it'll always be notable as a '90s series), so it wouldn't be too surprising.

Whoa!!! I need to look at all these facts myself, sounds fishy, lol
-
Another I remembered: both have a somewhat comical portrayal of Area 51. Not that surprising for series that involve aliens, but still worth mentioning.
-
I imagine most, if not all, of this is coincidental, but it's still rather interesting.
-
Idk, you'd be surprised by the influences people have these days
-
nice find! i'll have to play through perfect dark again. :)

I don't think so, because like you said, PD came out in 2000, I think most of the books were written before that. maybe the other way around though, but prolly just a coincidence.
-
I agree that it could be very well be a coincidence, but a lot of the later books came out well after Perfect Dark did. PD was May of 2000, and The Ellimist Chronicles, for instance, was October 2000. Remember how quickly she was squeezing these books out! I think it's reasonably likely that she absorbed some random PD inspiration in the later books. ;D Maybe her kid was playing it while she was writing? lol
[Edit] Never mind, according to her Wiki article KA's son would have been like 3 in 2000. Haha. I'm having a slightly difficult time picturing a 3-year-old slaughtering dataDyne guards, but you never know. Well, there's always the off-chance that KA is a gamer...
