Title: Chris P Bakon
Post by: chris p bakon on March 08, 2010, 08:10:12 PM
Hey? So...ummm...my name is Chris P Bakon, as in crispy bacon. Not everyone understands that when I tell them my name so I'm just telling you flat out now. As far as you need to know about me, I enjoy yelling; and I have a logical but irrational thought process. Yeah. I dunno what else I'm suppsoed to say. Bye?

Chris P Bakon

Welcome to RAF, Chris P Bakon -- mind if we call ya Crispy? ;)

I am known as Cloaky, RAFian of mystery.  Oh, and I leave you with these three words:

Beware the seal!

wHELLcome, Chris!
I'm Vis... I'm Dameg, another RAFian. Come with me, please, I have something to show you. It's here, after this door *Open a heavy door* We call them the RAFprojects. *Lead Chris to a long and dark hallway, with many doors, some in the dark, some with light coming from the other side. Arrive near the first door* Here at your left...

- The Ebooks project: [Help wanted!] Animorphs (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=14.0 (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=14.0)), Remnants (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,157.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,157.0.html) <= finished), Everworld (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,331.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,331.0.html) <= almost finished, it's our current priority, we need help to correct the volume #3 and check all the volumes to be sure there is no missing page) and GONE (new project?); the Everworld/Animorphs ebooks need to be cleaned a little (mistakes, missing pages, we don't know where the chapters begin and finish, etc.) so if you wanna be a correcter... call me, I head that projects.

Facing it is...

- RAFipedia: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=22.0 (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=22.0), an encyclopedia headed up by Estelore, our star (a true star, who make light and burn in space... but she has a body to come on Earth);

Next it's...

- the Audiobooks project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=15.0 (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?board=15.0), a full-cast audio version of Animorphs who need more "actors" and voices, headed by Kit Cloudkicker (Jess), MrGuy, Morfowt, and Wildweathel;

and here...

- the Graphic Novel project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,416.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,416.0.html) and http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,2276.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,2276.0.html), a Webcomic headed by Gafrash.

You also have...

- the Smiley project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1691.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1691.0.html), we make Animated gifs, smileys about Animorphs (Andalites, Hork-Bajirs...);

here and facing it is...

- the Translation project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1907.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1907.0.html), a recently started project/mutual support group for translations into other languages; currently only in French (Tocade, Anidragon and myself), Chinese (Morfowt), Indonesian (Nat), Swedish (Mira and Zana), and Esperanto (Wildweathel); we translate only the volumes never edited in our countries/languages, to make the ebooks;

Next door is for the special project:

- http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3738.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3738.0.html): the adventures of the RAFians;

At the end it's for the little projects:

- the http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3810.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3810.0.html);

- the http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3911.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3911.0.html) to make the planets we hear about in Animorphs;

- the paper-RPG project: a role-playing game (on table, with paper, pen and dices...) about the World of Animorphs; I head this project, and it'll be write in French at the beginning, but we need help to find, class and write everything we know about the species, the planets, the powers we see in Animorphs, fix them, see what we keep and what we can't keep (because of the KASU, not clear, exception for the main characters/books, etc.), complete the knowledges about species/planets we know and even create new species/planets...; this project will be on my own website, so if you wanna join, ask me the link ^^;

- the RPG project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,4069.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,4069.0.html) to make a video game about Animorphs, with RPGmaker;

- the Command-line game project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3787.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3787.0.html) for another kind of video game about Animorphs;

- the http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3773.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3773.0.html) where we count all the people killed by the Animorphs;

- the RAFkaraoke: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3150.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3150.0.html) and http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3635.msg245735.html#msg245735 (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3635.msg245735.html#msg245735), where we make songs and sing them...

and some other projects who come and go. Please check the list: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/board,13.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/board,13.0.html)

*Standing in front of Chris* I hope you enjoyed your visit. Oh, and I also invite you to add your species on this list: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,2154.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,2154.0.html) 'coz everybody isn't Human here. And we like to know who is what... For example, as you'll probably see, I'm a Controller. ... and if you want, you can add your age too: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,318.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,318.0.html)... We also have an awesome thread about the accents and dialects, where we register our voices speaking English or other languages, please come: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,4757.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,4757.0.html)

Now I have to go, I don't invite you for the meal, sorry. *Beginning to go down dark stairs. Chris can hear a cry coming from the cave.*
Have fun!
*Dameg disappears into the darkness, Chris is now alone in the hallway*

Hey, Crispy (second on Cloaky's suggestion of calling you that). Welcome to RAF ^_^ You seem to be enjoying the Bored Bored so far, which is awesome, as that's my standard haunt. I suggest you explore RAF. You're bound to find plenty to interest you ^_^

Anyway, welcome! It's great to have you here!

Well I am going to put this out here now: I don't read Animorphs, I never have. I am on this forum because I know about RAF through someone/somepeople who use RAF. But who may that/those be? You'll have to find out for yourself...

You should start reading them! They're great! Besides, you'll understand any Ani-references people make better and you'll know what some of the smileys are all about. :)

I second that! Half the references people make on this forum are to Animorphs anyway, and really, what kind of Anifans would we be if we didn't shamelessly try to get you to read the series?

They're all here on RAF already: http://animorphsforum.com/ebooks/ - just pull up the file for #1 and start reading. I can almost guarantee you'll enjoy them ^_^

It's awesome that you're here without having read the series, by the way. I guess you just know to join a cool community when you see it. Kudos to whoever it was that convinced you to come here ^_^

I... third that! (can we really say that? lol)
Because then you'll understand my welcome message >_<

PS: Because finishing the ebooks, don't read the Animorphs Board... it's full of spoil.

Hi Chris P Bakon. I didn't get the reference either but thanks for the connection. My names *checks name* Meta Knight but you can call me shorty or Joel. I fourth that recommendation. Read the books.

well the person who got me to join RAF is trying to get me to read the books, but I'm currently absorbed with the TV show Lost because I've been watching at least 5 episodes a day because I'm trying to catch up to the final season right now...so maybe when I'm all caught up on Lost I'll read 'em.

A TV show and a book series are totally different ^^'
Many of us follow a lot of TV show *looks in Claire's direction* but still read books... And the Animorphs volumes are many but very short and very very easy to read lol

Good?!  GOOD?!  How dare you give Animorphs a mere GOOD?!  What kind of a RAFian are you?!  Shame!  Shame shame shame!  There is nothing else to describe these tomes but HOLY!  *goes off in a corner muttering and twitching*

*comes back*

Er, sorry about that.  Just kidding.  I'm Horsefan, call me Horse, Horsie, or Seal, because I am a seal.  Yes, the very one that Cloaky was warning about.  Because I need your sanity.  Please.  NOW.

Yeah....never mind that.  I'm feeling kinda loopy today.
