i for one reckon they should of revealed themselves. They would make the best historians ever - especially with their ability to project their memories holographically and all.
-
Yeah, but I think there was a good reason they never revealed themselves. And that is that they are more advanced than anything the Andalites or the humans have ever created. Not only does this mean that everyone would want to dissect them to see how they tick, but a lot of that technology could be used for violent purposes. Maybe at first, everyone is just like, "Hey, cool! Super-intelligent robots!" But the Chee probably know perfectly well that, sooner or later, someone would wonder how to use that kind of artificial intelligence to design killer soldiers, and the Chee (quite rightfully) want no part of that.
-
They probably did what they've always done:
TRY AND TAKE OVER THE WO.... I mean, um, hide within human civilization and observe it.
-
Well the Chee probably went into hiding again. Jake tried to use Erek, and under different circumstances I think he would have done as much as he possibly could, but Jake ruined that friendship as well as losing Tobias'. I don't know if he ever tried to find Erek to try to patch things up, but we'll never know.

was jake wrong in using erek? (i mean, i know that manipulating erek was wrong) but what he needed erek to do, i think it was justified. Jake needed it done. Erek was the only way it could be done. Erek won't do it when asked honestly. Thus, jake had to blackmail him. not so cool, i know, but in this case, the ends justifies the means. it mattered more/was more important than ereks feelings.
Jake losing tobias cuz of rachel.....jakes decision in that case is certainly debatable -whether he was right or wrong to have sent rachel. But it has been discussed in alot of other posts already i presume.
-
I wouldn't say it was wrong to use Erek because he was needed. I can't really see a different way to get past Erek's restrictions because the Pamelite Crystal never showed up again. They needed to get control of the ship as quickly as possible to try to save as many people dwn on the ground as possible, and Ax couldn't do it. Unfortunately the other Anisdidn't get to their objective fast enough and everyone on the ground died anyway. That may have been an ideal time to go full polar bear or something similar.
It may have been better if they had talked to Erek more beforehand instead of dropping this on him suddenly. Or maybe it wouldn't be.

Rereading #26 after knowing the end of the series made me realize Erek was a hypocrite. Erek used Jake to get rid of the Howlers. He didn't have a right to be mad at for Jake for doing the same thing to him in order to get rid of the Yeerks.
-
That is true. He witheld the information that the Howlers didn't know what they did was wrong, and they were more like kids playing a game. He let the Anis continue thinking they were evil because he hated them so much. Of course he remembers the massacre like it was two seconds ago because his memory never dims.
-
Maybe Erek didn't know that the Howlers thought it was a game.
Why is my font blue.

Imput your birthday into your profile, voodoo.
-
My font is blue too. What does that have to do with our birthdays?
-
If you don't define your birthdays, apparently the site assumes your birthday is Jan 1. I guess.
