Title: The amazing thing about it is:
Post by: Anidude26 on November 15, 2009, 10:36:00 AM
So I got the e-mail about today's party, and I discovered the e-book section for the first time.  I am blown away.  I have all the books, and I really want to read them again, but I really don't like reading from traditional books anymore.  The answer is right HERE though! On the computer! Woo!  So I was looking at all the covers of the books in the e-book section, and I never really realized this because I was a pretty naive kid, but while I always loved this series because of the Animorphs' amazing ability to morph out of their human bodies and single handly stand up to an alien invasion all by themselves, the REAL amazing thing was the ability to get the DNA of some pretty bad ass animals while they were at it.  At one point Marco becomes a deadly snake! A cobra, no less! Geeze. It has been so long since I read it, but just seeing the cover I am amazed I didn't find it as amazing when I was a kid.  Back then I was just like "meh, snake, great" and continued reading to see what happens next.  Now that I have discovered the amazing e-book section, I am going to go right ahead and start reading em all again from my computer!

Glad to have you on board. I can tell you that since I started coming here I have seen Animorphs far differently than I used to. It's like a whole other series when you can come somewhere and really talk about the books with many people who are just as interested in it as you are.

I can already tell me and you are going to get along great, Dameg.  Anyway, I was discussing something on my mind at the moment about the series . I'm not sure why you thought this was an introduction, cuz it's not. :)

Anyway thanks Chad! I'll have to look up some of your previous posts.  What are some of the things you've noticed in the series now that you previously hadn't/or just seem different now?

Well, a lot of subtext in the series was brought to my attention. When I first read the series, I didn't read into it enough to notice all the subtext. Now that I know about it I'm able to understand why some things happened the way it did. I may not agree with it all, but at least I understand it better.

I also notice there are many people who like the controversial ending, even though most of the fanbase did not.

it kinda sounded like an intro, i guess. (especially since you're new).

enjoy the ebooks!

I just posted my "real" intro in the introduction thread.  This thread wasn't created to be an introduction. Let's make that clear right now. haha.

Sorry for the confusion though.

Were these things easy to spot on your own without anyone referencing it, Chad?  The hidden subtext?  I think it would be fun to read them all and discover them all on my own.  It kinda makes me wonder if i'll end up finding some new stuff hidden in Everworld too!

Yeah that ending was unsatisfying.  It still upsets me to this day! haha. Now that there is the rumored "Animorphs 2.0", I am looking forward to the possibility of it being green-lit so we can find out what happens next! I sure hate cliffhangers, especially cliffhangers that occur at the end of a series!

Those are the worst kinds of cliffhangers, becuase it defeats all purposes of one.

But anyway, I've never been great at reading between the lines. I'm sure that in some books I would be able to see the underlining meaning without having someone point it out to me, but sometimes in any media I'll see things totally different from someone else because they see the subtext.
