Title: Ganondorf Morph?
Post by: super_sonic on July 21, 2009, 12:19:50 PM
I was wondering, if the Animorphs morphed something that had a second form, would they be able to "secondary morph"?

For instance:

if one of the Animorphs got ahold of Ganondorf (c/o The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Twilight Princess) and morphed him, would the Ganondorf morph be able to "morph" into Dark Beast Ganon (Ganondorf's demonic alter ego) and/or use his magical ablilities?

I wonder if Ganondorf's transformation into Ganon/the use of his dark magical powers is DNA based (part of his DNA), can he only access that form through the Triforce of Power, or is Dark Beast Ganon just the physical manifestation of Ganondorf's evil nature/instincts (and in the world of Animorphs, morphs use the creature's instincts and not its life learning/experience)?

I ask because I read that Ganondorf obtained his powers from some unknown source, inferring that he was not born with the ability to transform or his powers...

Well this would obviously involve a rather awesome crossover, but theoretically it might work. Remember, when Cassie morphed a Caterpillar and she later became a Butterfly? I assume it would work like that.

I was asking because within the caterpillar's DNA, it's meant for it to transform into a butterfly.

Unless whatever Ganondorf came across altered his DNA, the Ganondorf morph would be practically useless

Kind of hard to say in that case, as DNA is obviously never mentioned in Zelda.

On a related note, I've been thinking lately about what would happen in an Animorphs/Everworld crossover. Assuming that the morphing power even worked in Everworld, would an Animorphs be able to acquire gods or other magical creatures? Science and magic don't tend to mix very well and we don't even know if gods are made up of DNA, but we know that despite being a magical world, Earth technology does work there.
