My favorite color is red because I feel it suits who I am. I asked a dear friend of mine, and she said she was white. This poem was written for her.

A star burns red during day
But shines white at night.
Contrasting like
The blood of a ghost
Or the heart of a light.
Duality of emotion
Infallibly incapable
Of erosion.
Passion.
Devotion.
A timeless dichotomy;
Love and Lust's prodigy;
An angel and demon odyssey;
Logical hypocrisy.
The purest wax
To the purest flame,
Venus and Mars emitting the same.
Bonded brothers like Able and Cain,
The symbol of all feeling
Both Joy and Pain.
