Hi,
My name is Eric Chang, but most people just call me Chang for short. Jess made me join or else she'd punch my puppy in the face, so doing what was best, I joined.
I like to bury myself in many hobbies, which range from super nerdy, to probably some what cool. So from the super geekiest thing would be Warhammer 40k, and the coolest thing being I dunno something along the lines of film? Some of my other hobbies are Competitive Footbag(hackysack, ask if you'd like to know what the hell I am talking about), Mixed Martial Arts (since it kind of keeps me in shape and keeps me being off my ass all day), and Street Fighter IV(TIGER!). Other hobbies are things like rollerblading, hanging out with people watching in the mix, movies, music, you know stuff that other people do.
I know nothing about Animorphs at all, but like I said Jess! demanded I joined, and some other person (faerie) seemed to find it interesting enough that I was a "professional hackysacker going on the holy crap lions tour" so needless to say, two reasons to join I suppose.
Jess is watching over my shoulder, so I can't talk behind her back or else she'd probably kick my ass.

I usually guide the new members in the RAFprojects threads, but you don't know Animorphs so the only projects you could really enjoy are:
- the Smiley project: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1691.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1691.0.html), we make Animated gifs, smileys about Animorphs (Andalites, Hork-Bajirs...);
- the RAFkaraoke: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3150.0.html (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,3150.0.html), where we make songs and sing them... It's pretty new, we made it... few hours ago ^^' But please sing with us! (in fact, with THEM, because I won't sing... really, my accent is too... you know... French...)
Of course, I hope you'll read the books... The Animorphs and Everworld ebooks are quite available, and the Remnants ebooks are finished. It's free and you'll probably enjoy them, so please read them ^^ (and of course, if you don't read them, you won't understand half of what the RAFians say here... and after you read them, you'd probably understand only 75% of what they say...)

Ooh, sweet. I had a friend who was into 40k. But, then, he ran out of money. Miniatures are pricey. ;D
I think I can outdo the geekiness though: I've competed in national mathematics competition. Yikes! Interestingly enough, though, math team introduced me to hackysack--though I never got good. MA in general is sweet, though I'm personally more interested in traditional Japanese arts than competition. Once I have some free cash-flow (and have settled on a place to live) I'll sign up for an Aikido class.
I absolutely cannot play arcade-fighter games. Have tried. Have failed. It's adventure-action and the occasional RPG or mon game for me. But, I am somewhat familiar with Street Fighter's music thanks to this OverClocked Remix album (http://sf2.ocremix.org/). Capcom liked the music so much that they commissioned the artists from Blood on the Asphalt to write the music for Street Fighter II HD Remix.

Well, Animorphs in a spoiler-free nutshell... Well, you're familiar with Jean Craighead George, yes? (If not, shame on you! Shame!)
Well, if Jean Craighead George read way too much Tolstoy and Machiavelli, then rewrote Heinlein's The Puppet Masters (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ThePuppetmasters) for kids, exploring themes of morality, expediency, and really nice aversion of You Fail Biology Forever (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YouFailBiologyForever).
Just for fun, you throw in massive amounts of 90's pop-culture references, a nearly omnipotent "brilliant loser," and time travel and alternate universes. Time travel + ability to change species = really messed up family tree.
As the story progresses, you gradually build sympathy for your Puppet-Masters and reveal the whole thing to be an epic struggle between good and evil a la Stephen King (!). Finally, you top it off with a bitterly ironic and disturbing ending, write your fans a letter saying "It ends this way because it has to, dammit!" and move on to blowing up the world in your next book.
Add a truly craptacular Nick live-action adaptation (now, there are four words that shouldn't , and get ripped off (http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/thehost.html) by Stephanie Myer, and
This Is Animorphs.
Now, be warned, we spoil Animorphs with reckless abandon here. (other rules for other series) If you don't like that, go ahead and read it now (http://animorphsforum.com/ebooks/). It's about 100-200 hours total.

Wrong. The talking seal will not place in a green bottle. The talking seal (me, if you hadn't noticed) will throw your sanity down the incinerator.
Anyway, welcome, Chang! Watch out for Jess. She's my RAFsister, I think, even though it isn't in her sig. Did you send me back to the adoption center and disinherit me, jess? :'(
But yeah, I do need your sanity. No sanities allowed in RAF.
