A good little fanfiction...The Animorphs have been fighting for a long time, there is nothing they haven't seen, nothing they have'nt faced...until now...The Taxxons and Hork Bajirr know where the greatest weapon in the world is, a weapon so powerful that it could destroy the world with one blast. Now teh Animorphs have to strike and stop the Hands of Armageddon from being activated....before it's too late......

JAKE
Hi, my name is Jake.
I have seen alot of things no other person wants to see and I've been things no other person wants to be. I have the power to morph. Into any animal I touch, and I've touched alot of animals. I've been tigers...roaches... .the fly on your wall...almost everything. I wanted to be a normal kid, but, you don't always get the things you want. I have had to do things...things I'm not proud of....David is one of them. Our new anamorphic that went bad I don't wanna talk about it. It brought out some dark truths about all of us...some truths that we can never talk about.
As you know, we no longer live like normal kids. We. That's right, I'm not alone. I'm not alone. It's me, Rachel, Tobias, Cassie, Marco and Ax. Anyway, today was a Saturday. A simple Saturday. We had no missions on schedule and we could relax. I was walking in the mall. I had my hands in my pocket and was looking down. I felt out of place, ever since the whole morphing thing, I didn't feel like Jake anymore. I saw Rachel and human Tobias, and Cassie and this other kid....uh....Sammy! Yeah, Sammy, at the food court sharing a hot dog, they didn't see me.
Now, I'm supposed to be the fearless leader, I'm not supposed to HAVE feelings, but Cassie is different. Ax says she is a natural morpher, but, I kinda like her. But, that's OUR secret. I saw Cassie and what looked to be Rachel go into the bathroom. I then did something I never did. I raced into the bathroom and before I knew it, I was a fly on the bathroom wall.
"I just don't know...." I heard Cassie say.
"Well, look, he hasn't made a move in ever, maybe it's time," Rachel. Fly sight may suck, but...well the hearing sucks too, but you know what I meant. "He'll understand."
"Rachel...." Cassie looked down, then up my way. I took of and landed on the hand soap. "Rachel," she said with a crooked smile on her face. "You know, I HATE flies right?"
It took Rachel a second to get it.
"Yeah, so do I!" she said grabbing a newspaper and rolling it up. "I hate those stupid snooping spying BOY flies!"
She swung.
<Ok!> I cried. I slowly demorphed in my morphing outfit. "Ok, sorry." Cassie stormed out angry and in tears.
"Sicko!" Rachel slapped me across the face. "You've got some nerve!"
"Well, Cassie was with that...that...scumb ag!" I protested.
"Scumbag?!" Rachel asked. "Listen to you?!"
"Shut up Rachel...I....." I then heard someone coming.
"Oh no!" cried Rachel. She pushed me into a stall and then got in herself. "Shh!" she cried as a woman about 50 stepped into the bathroom. She looked around and then touched the mirror. Then, in a small clash, she stepped through it and dissapeared.
"Jake.....' Rachel began as I began to reach for the mirror.
FLASH!

RACHEL
Ok, so as you know, I'm not a girlie girl, but, I am a warrior. Sort of. And sort of warriors are always ready for a fight. So, when Jake dissapeared into the mirror, I had to follow.
FLASH!
We were in a big cellar. It was damp and musty, not to mention my shoes felt totally disintegrated. Jake was a little bit up looking up the small pathway through a small hole. I got next to him.
Inside the other room where about a dozen Taxxons and Hork Bajirr. They were talking in their weird way. A bunch of grunts and snarls but, I did understand one word. Visser Three.
"What will we do?" A Taxxon asked.
"I don't know, but, the weapon is going to be activated soon and when it is we have to get it," A Hork Bajirr said.
"Weapon?" I asked.
Jake shushed me.
"The Hands of Arma will aid the Yeerk empire ten fold!" one Taxxon said.
"Yes, it will, but it will not be able to be detected until The Eve of Hemrashing, we strike then." A Taxxon said. "But, I know we are being watched, and the andalite bandits are probably here."
That made my heart almost stop. The Taxxon turned towards the hole and lunged. Jake and I jumped for the portal, but it was just a wall again.
"Jake!" I whispered as he was on all fours. The orange and black hair was spreading across his whole body pretty fast. I got the message, within fifty seconds I was full grizzly and just in time because in that short time it took us to morph, about seven Darcon Beams shot through the walls.
"Bingo!" said the Taxxon.
"Surrender Bandits!" A Hork Bajirr cired.
RWOOORRRRRRRRRRRR! That was me. I punched the Taxxon in it's mouth and that was a stupid mistake. It bit down and I felt my arm go numb.
<Jake!>
<Rachel, no demorphing!>
I can normally take anything thrown at me, but my whole arm felt like it fell off. So much pain. I threw myself against a Hork Bajirr. The creatures blade sliced into my other arm.
Six Taxxons were all over Jake, he jumped up whirled around and charged on head first for the Hark Bajirr with the Dracon beam. He lept for his arm.
TSEEEEER!
TSEEEEER!
Jake was shot in the head, the building was shot in the support beam. The whole cellar was going down. Jake was lying on the ground, dead I don't know. All I know is, I was demorphing so fast I couldn't focus. The Taxxons and Hork Bajirr were fleeing through the portal and I stared there at Jake.
"Jake?" I asked.
<I can't breathe....So cold...>
"Jake Demorph!"
<So cold...."
"Jake...."
<So cold.....>

TOBIAS
Jake was dead. That's all we knew and that's all we cared about.
Jake was dead.
I showed no emotion or fear, I wasn't Tobias anymore, I was the hawk, and hawks have no fear.
Marco was a different story. Normally he hides all his anger in jokes and sarcasm towards me, but, he was mad.
Like, not Marco anymore...more like....
Like....
Rachel.
Marco wasn't in his osprey morph, he acquired an eagle. He was leading us for now and he was the most serious I've ever seen.
<Where?>
<Well, after here, take a left and we can demorph in the mall somewhere...>
<Where?!>
<Ok, take a left!>
<Good. Jake, you will be avenged.>
<Marco...> I began.
<Tobias. Shut UP!> That made my whole body shake, Cassie flew by me and nudged me as to say ignore Marco's anger.
We needed an angry Marco.
And if we had to...a killer Rachel.

CASSIE
My name is Cassie. I was feeling awful.
Jake was dead, and I never got to tell him anything before he went.
He knew I loved him. And I knew he loved me. We were meant to be together.
We stopped behind the mall, demorphed and then remorphed into flies to get in the closed mall. The mall looked so much bigger in the dark. But, it was much more deadlier. There was about a dozen Hork Bajirr and Taxxons and one Visser Three and one Visser One. I was acting more like Jake every second. I knew when who would go off and when. I knew, who would blow and who wouldn't. I knew, something was going to happen. I just didn't know what.
"Now what?" I asked. Marco shot me a look so evil it made me shake.
"We morph, battle morphs, we kill." Marco's harsh words were scaring me, Ax nudged me.
<Is this Marco?>
"I don't know anymore Ax," I felt the changes begin.
My fur began first followed by the snout and paws. The last thing to happen was the hind legs, just the way I wanted it.
Marco was done before anybody.
<Ok, this is for you Jake,> Marco then slammed through the mall doors.
<Marco!> I screamed as about a million Hork Bajirr shot at us. It was a blood bath.
I ran behind the trash cans and demorphed fast. A wolf was waaaaaaaay too weak, I needed to be stronger. I then felt myself growing. My neck shot up and then row of spikes began to pop up my spine, legs and arms. I was a Hork Bajirr.
I then grabbed a Dracon beam.
<Excellent!> cried Visser Three. <Kill them! The weapon's location must be found!>
I pulled the trigger and a small laser shot out and destroyed anything in it's path. I aimed it at Visser Three. The Rachel/Marco side of me said do it. The Cassie/Jake/Ax/Tobias side of me said don't.
I lowered the small flashlight type laser as I heard a RWOOOOOOOORRRRR!!!!!!
A gorilla gave me an uppercut. <Marco!>
<Cassie?> he asked as a flash of orange attacked him. I saw it too. It was a tiger. Jake's tiger. It couldn't be...could it? Visser Three pointed everybody towards the bug fighters, and in a small second, everyone was gone. It was just us and our memories.
I began to demorph as Marco stepped over to me and gave me a glare. "Why didn't you shoot?"
"I...I couldn't...."
"Cassie you little......"
"Watch it Marco," Rachel said.
"Listen Rach..."
"No, you listen, calm down, because of what we just saw, we know Jake isn't dead, but we don't know whose side he's on. All we do know is the Yeek's have got a weapon so powerful we're all in danger."
<She is right> Ax said.
<So...> Tobias said what we were all thinking. <Ax, explain.>

MARCO
I...do not know who I am. Marco was dead, and someone new, someone deadly had taken his place. Anyway, back at Cassie's barn, that night. Us, minus two. Jake and Tobias morphed as Jake so his parents didn't freak. We were all sitting, me standing by giving my best tough guy look.
<I belive I know what is gonig on,> Ax said.
"Ok, spill."
<The Eve of Hemrash is a time when the Yeerks get hte ability to reproduce.>
"Mating season?" Cassie asked.
<Correct.> Ax said. <Only worse, during the Eve, they can multiply to monsterous proportions and can take over someone's body much easier, it was siad on the Andalite homeworld we hid a weapon...A weapon so powerful it could destroy anything.>
"Even the world," I said.
<Correct. It was the Hands of Armageddon. THe Hands can manipulate space and time and we must make sure the Yeerks do not get to it. Because if they do...>
"PBHTTT! Goes the Animorphs," I said.
<Yes.> Ax continued. <During Hemrash, Yeeks are invincible and can control people by thought.....it is much easir to get a host. The Eve is, in Earth time, next Tuesday. We have to stop the Yeerks before they get to it.>
"But, how do we get there? And what if they beat us?" Cassie asked.
"Cassie, for getting there, we can steal a bug fighter but for the if..." I began. "There is no if now, it's just yes or no...."

AX
We were doing something unheard of in my world. We were infiltrating the Yeerk Pool and steal a Bug Fighter. We weren't lead by Prince Jake, Marco was in control.
I missed Tobias since he had to take Jake's place.
We were all in raptor morphs, we were in the GAP and taking the entrance we had already known about in one of our previous escapades. That is a funny word. Es. Ca. Pay. Dez. Esca. Pades. No time for words.
Wor. Ds. Wo. Rd. S.
We demorphed behind a support beam and slowly remorphed to fly morph. The bug fighters were deeper in this place. My friends were all acting weird. We. Ird.
Rachel was acting withdrawn and not so angry, Cassie was sad and filled with tears, and Marco was angry at the world. Tobias and I sometimes are the only normal ones in this group. Gro. Up.
We waited on the wall, but the guards did not leave their post. We'd have to fight in order to make them leave. I demorphed and then-WHUMP!
I landed on top of the two Hork Bajirr and the others slowly retreated out of morphs. We began to leave when we saw a Hork Bajirr get up and then turn into Jake.
"Hello." He said. "Friends."
I stared at his eyes for a long time. They weren't Jake's. I'd seen them when he was captured the first time. He was one of them.

JAKE
"You fools," my voice said. "You are just as gutless as your friend here." 'I' walked in a pace around them as my five dumbfounded friends wouldn't take one eye off me. "Although I have to admit. Who would've expected five human youths and one Andalite have tormented us for so long. But, enough chit chat." I held out one hand. "Give me the device."
The blue box? I asked in my head. NO don't!
Marco's eyes went from mine to Cassie, who was reaching in her backpack. In her hand was the blue box, that Elfangor had used to give us the power to morph. "How do we know your not double crossing us?" she asked as about eleven Taxxons and Hork Bajirr stepped out of nowhere. Hologram. Been there done that lucky to be alive. They grabbed my friends and swiped the device.
"Truth be told, I was! HAHAHAHA!" I cackled. Marco made a face.
"Jake, I know your in there, you've done it once and will do it again." Cassie said sympathetically as a Taxxon grabbed her harder. He then threw her towards the pool, then Cassie did something I've never seen her do before. She morphed in midair. It was like art only art through morphing. She backflipt into a Polar Bear Morph.
"Bravo Cassie!" cried Marco starting a morph. He was fast, but he was scared. And in some weird sociopathic way, I wanted to fight him.

RACHEL
I was full grizzly. I wasn't scared, all my worry had left, but I knew we had to kill Jake and all the people here. We couldn't let them blow our cover....no matter what....
RWOOOOOOOOOR!
I slapped twelve Hork Bajirr into the wall.
TSEEER!
Dracon Beams!
A gorilla grabbed a Taxxon and threw it into a wall.
<Guys! The Box!> I cried. A Hork Bajirr saw me and then threw the box into the Yeerk Pool.
<Whatsa matter?> asked Jake as the tiger now. <Little Miss Warrior afraid to get a little wet?>
<I swear, if you weren't in Jake I'd....>
<What?> he asked. <You'd hurt your so caleld fearless leader?>
I had had it, I wanted to kill him now. HROOOOOOOOR!!! I threw a few punches towards the tiger, but he was too swift. I may've been big, but he was faster and more agile, but not as agile as a wolf.
HROOOOR! Jake wailed in pain as the Cassie clamped her big teeth on his legs.
<AAAAH!> he screeched.
<Marco get the device!> I cried. He reached in the pool.
<It's too far down!> That's when the whole wall exploded. On the otherside, about twenty Human Controllers and one Visser Three.
<You!> Ax cried ready to strike. He couldn't move, neither could I, one flinch and we'd all be dead.
<Well, well well,> he began. <The human bandits and andalite scum, I must admit, you are very clever.>
<Shut up!> I couldn't help myself from yelling that. I hated him so much right then. We were all in the line of fire, everybody accept....Tobias!
He was on the other side of the Yeek Pool and was completely unseen from the Visser.
<Tob-Tobias,> I began.
<Huh?> he asked. Kind of disoriented, his head was wet and he had the box. I put two and two together.
<Tobias...did you get the box?>
<Yeah, I swooped in and fought off all those stupid Yeerks, why?>
<uh....> I didn't have time to go into what was going on. <Look, Tobias, the Visser can't see you, and if your not a Controller, I need you to take on that big 'ole polar bear morph and break some faces.> Tobias nodded and then began to strain himself.
<I..can't!> he cried. Now, Tobias and I are kind of close. When he said that, that made my heart stop.
<T...Try...Tobias.>
He began to strain as the Visser heard my last line. He dove and swiped off Tobias's head.
<TOBIAS!> I screamed. That was it, something inside me snapped. I dove for Visser Three and cut off part of his tail.
<AARG!> Marco rammed the wall.
It went down and the four of us escaped with Jake on our tails.
Jake lunged and I smacked him so hard his face was covered in blood.
<That's for Tobias.>

TOBIAS
I was drowning.
I couldn't think or breathe. I saw purple water and about a billion slugs on me. I swirled around and realized what happened.
I lept in to get the blue box, smacked a Yeerk onto it, flew to the box and that stupid thing mustv'e acquired me! I had to get out of here before something bad happened. But, I thought what worse could happen? Our covers were blown and we had nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
I had to focus on something fast.
The only thing that came to mind?
A squid.

MARCO
Well, what could we do? First things first, we didn't go home. That's probably who they'd infest first. We knew the Yeerk in Jake's head blabbed our identities and we knew about the weapon and, we knew that pretty much everybody would soon be after us. We were far in the woods. Probably about where Tobias used to stay.
We had Jake in lockdown, the four of us on either side of him.
We needed the real Jake in order to take our next step.
After three days when we were sure, Jake was Jake, we waited.
"Now what?" I asked.
"Well, we know where the super weapon is, and we know how to get there," Jake began. "We just need to know how to actually get up in the air without getting fried."
"Yeah, we're all on the run," Rachel said. "I hate it, being so helpless and weak!"
<I do also wish for a little strength,> Ax began <But, what ca we do?>
"I don't know," Jake said. "Now that the Yeerks have the box...."
"Actually...." I began. "It was all Ax's idea."
<Yes, Prince Jake. We made a decoy of the box out of a remnant of it,> he paused. <We weren't meant to lose it, it has a chip implanted in it to track them down, Tobias was supposed to get it but...>
"But he died!" Rachel screamed. "OK Ax?! HE DIED!"
"Rachel..." began Jake.
She looked the other way.
"Now, what we have to do is..."
<Surrender> said a small voice. We all looked down to see a rat. A very familiar rat....a rat that was slowly emerging to a human form.
A rat formerly known as David.

CASSIE
David. Our one mistake. Our one mistake that I'll never forget.
"Hello," he began as Rachel threw him to the ground.
"You gutless little pathetic excuse for a person!" Jake and Ax struggled to get her up off him. "Let me go!!! I'll kill him!"
"Rachel," Jake began. "Cool it!"
"Shut up Jake!" she cried as Jake threw her a look that could kill. Rachel looked at the ground and I looked away. I honestly now at this point afraid of her. She terrified me more than anything.
I looked towards Jake and then back at the ground. Jake to me no longer felt like Jake, I could tell somethhing was going to happen. Something so big it would test our friendship and sanity more than anything.
"Look," David began. "I'm just a messanger."
"For?" asked Jake ready to morph.
"The Yeerks stupid," David paused. "I came to tell you, that their looknig for you."
"Well, good," Rachel said. "Now go!" David turned to leave.
"Wait," I said. "David was followed."
"Huh?" he asked. "Me? Nooooooo."
"Yes you were, there are about fifteen Hork Bajirr in the trees, and who knows how many Taxxons."
The gang stared my way. Jake gave me a nod. He had long since learned to trust my instincts.
"Cassie...Cassie...C assie..." David said in a crooked smile. "You always were right." The boy then sprang into a morph. Ihn an instant David was Visser Three.
<Well, I have learned alot today, the bandits great folly. A rouge what is it you call yourself? Aminorph?>
"Animorph," Jake said in a low voice. "We will stop you, we're gonna find that super weapon and stop it from destroying anybody."
<Boy,> he said. <I have destroyed one of you already, it won't be long befoer you make another slip-up.>
We were surrounded.
We had two choices: Surrender or die. Or surrender and die.
Jake looked behind us to see about fifty bug fighters.
<Give us the boy.> Visser said.
"Huh?" asked Jake.
<Aximili>
"Ax?" Marco asked. "No deal."
<Only a true non-infested andalite can crack the code to find the weapon and my host body has a very strong will, he won't let me see teh code. No matter who controls him>
"So you want us to help you?" Jake asked.
<No....> said Visser pulling up a red tailed hawk. <For your friend Tobias.>

AX
I couldn't believe it, Tobias was not dead after all. I knew he was always a hero.
"That can't be Tobias! He's d-de-dea-" Rachel could not say it.
<Dead?> asked the Visser. <No, the stuborn little whelp would'nt die.>
"Don't call Tobias a whelp," Rachel snarled.
<Surrender the boy!> Visser yelled.
<Prince Jake it is probably a trick,> I began. He looked at me sadly as if saying, you have to. <Alright Visser.>
"What?!" cried Rachel. "Jake I...."
"No," he said. "Take him, give us Tobias."
The Visser's bony hand touched mine and I instantly felt drained of all choice. He led me into the arms of a Hork Bajirr. And then flung Tobias at Prince Jake. He stared at the hawk and closed his eyes. He was....he was...
"Liar!" he screamed running for the ship. It instantly shot off. I realized his plan suddenly and knew I had to get out of there.

JAKE
I was on the outside of a ship going at about a million miles an hour.
I could barely hold onto it, so I slowly slipped into my fly morph.
After finding a safe place to morph back to human and then remorph to Hork Bajirr I slowly dispersed into the crowd. It was so cramped in there I could barely think at Ax.
<Ax.>
<Prince Jake?> he asked looking around.
"Stop fidgeting scum!" a Hork Bajirr snarled.
<Yes, Ax.> I said. <I'm right behind you.>
<Good,> he said. <With any luck, they've still got the device.>
<Huh?>
<It was part of the plan my Prince, we knew and anticipated all of the Yeerks failed attempts to kill us.>
<Oh. Ok. Well, what's the next part of this brilliant plan?>
<We haven't gottten that far yet...in fact we're still wondering whether Tobias is still alive or not.>
<Ok, so, now were trapped, your gonna be made into a controller and unless the others can get to use we're both dead right?>
<Correct Prince Jake.>

RACHEL
I was so angry it made my body shake in blind fury. "Great Marco your brilliant plan got half of us to where we need to be!"
"Hey Rachel, don't get all made at me jsut for trying to be a leader! Just because bird-boy-"
"Let's get one thing straight!" I pinned him to a tree. "Don't you EVER call him brid-boy. His name is, was, and always will be Tobias. T-O-B-I-A-S. Got it?!"
"Sure..." he began. I let him down.
"Cassie?" I asked.
"Well, the tracking device is leading us to them, with Visser Three gone we can get a bug fighter and follow them," Casie began looking sad.
"Cassie what's wrong?"
"I feel like....like...like David."
"Huh?"
"When I saw the face of David something wasn't right, the Visser went from morph to morph without stopping," she paused. "Something is wrong with reality. Like it's tearing apart or something. Like something's saying if we don't get the device before the Yeerks....the world will end....."
"Well, we know our plan and with the visser gone out of town we'll be able to do it in a breeze," Marco said.
"well, the Eve is tomorrow, we have about two hours before we go, pack your things and say your good-byes, even if your parents are Yeerks, because chances are....we won't make it back."
Cassie and Marco nodded and I got ready to take a little feild trip to the zoo. If we were gonna fight, we'd need serious fire power.
Crocodile, Gorrilla, Tiger, Red Tailed Hawk, Lion, Panther, and Bull, those were all the morphs I was able to get. They've may not've been the best, but they were dangerous.
Just the way I liked it.

TOBIAS
I lunged at the Hork Bajirr's throat.
<Die!> I screamed as I whirled my massive body around into a whole wall of Taxxons.
I charged off like a rocket and then-WHAM!
I saw fireworks.
A Hork Bajirr struck me in the head like a cement block.
The bull was fast, but too big to do anything, I had to demorph. Too bad I couldn't.
"Get the nothlit!" cried a Taxxon and I suddenly felt something inside of me snap.
<Don't ever call me a NOTHLIT!> next thing I knew I was back in bird morph and I didn't care how. That was a morph I knew my way around.
"TSSSSSER!" I lunged at a Taxxon and totally mutilated him. I flew down the corridor and while I was flying I was going into Hork Bajirr morph. My bones were snapping and crunching and grinding and growing.
I picked up a stray Dracon Beam. TSEER! TSEER! I blasted at the ceiling. The whole complex was going down.
I slammed through a piece of concrete and was falling.
Soon, I was flying. I got back about 100 feet to see the whole building going down. I flew all the way to the woods only to see it all totally destroyed by fire. The whole forest...burned down...I would've cried.
Ok, I cried a little but come on, that was my home. I then flew to see about sixty Hork Bajirr, Taxxons, and Human Controllers fighting something. No, some people.
Very familiar people....

MARCO
What was going on? A Yeerkageddon! That's what. After coming back from the zoo, all of us with alot of battle ready morphs (me, I got the biggest baddest morphs I could find, anaconda, tasmanian devil, grizzly, tiger, and crocodile) Which, was just in time, becasue as soon as we got back, there was a whoel Yeerk Army waiting for us.
Taxxons, Hork Bajirr, and who was leading them? Well ask our one mistake.
How David was back and got his morphnig powers I'll never know, all I did know, was we were dead. No answer. Just dead.
Rachel however had a different strategy.
"We fight," she said. "We fight 'till teh end, to make sure that the Yeerks leave our families and friends alone."
"Rachel, i don't think you can do that," David said.
"Why?"
"Becasue your families are already one of us."
"No!" Rachel said as our families revealed themselves from behind the wall of Hork Bajirr.
"Yes," said my Dad. "And, we have something special to share with you." Then he stopped as he took on the morph of a Taxxon. Soon, there were more Taxxon and Hork Bajirr than ever.
"Well, Well, Well," said David. "You want a fight? You got it.."

CASSIE
We were fighting and losing. The forest was covered in flames by the endless Dracon beams being fired. All my fear was gone for once, the urge to kill was welling up inside me, I felt like a part of me had died.
Something was happening to the universe, and something told me, if we didn't stop the Yeerks from activating the weapon, the whole universe was at stake. I was in a morph completely new to me. A Grizzly. I felt the raw surge of power that Rachel felt and to be honest, I didn't know how to control it.
Rachel dealt with this kind of power every day, but me, I was always used to be weak and caring, but for once...all those feelings, were out the window. I let out a scream of rage and decapitated the first Hork Bajirr I saw. Marco, was in rhinoceros morph, and Rachel was elephant. We may've have been the biggest killer's alive, but, we weren't any match for David, an army of Hork Bajirr and Taxxons and our parents all with the morphing power. <David, you always were a coward!> I cried lunging for him.
<oh,> he said in his stupid lion morph. <Cassie, Cassie's got a temper temper.>
<Shut up!> I roared and smacked him across the face, a piece of bloody skin and bone hit the ground.
<Big mistake,> he growled and then became a tan blur of evil and wrath. He tackled me to the ground.
<Hey David get off of her!> Rachel screamed getting ready to stomp on his little head. He held me there, not killing, no...waiting.
Waiting for what?
Then it hit me.
Literally.
He was trying to kill me.
And using Rachel to do it.
<Rachel stop!> I screamed as he rolled away as the elephant foot crushed my rib cage.
<AARGH!> I felt all the blood rush from my head.

RACHEL
I was literally morphing and crying at the same time.
"Cassie," I managed to say. "Wake up....wake up."
<I can't....feel my...>
"Cassie, demorph, I.." WHAM!
My eyes exploded into fireworks. David.
He took a cheap shot. The little twerp. My face was half skin, half bone and torn muscle. I couldn't feel anything. I began to morph into the grizzly, then I reversed the morph.
"David, what are you planning?"
"Simple, Rachel dear," he said demorphing. "Stalling."
"Stalling," I began. "Stalling for what?" That's when they all looked up. I did too, to see a big ball of fire about the size of a quarter heading towards Earth.
"What is that?"
"You really think we didn't know your friend Jake snuck aboard the ship and is probably among the Hork Bajirr. We anticipated all of your moves, now the whole world will suffer!"
"Why David?" I asked watching Cassie die. "Why are you doing this?"
"Revenge!" he screamed grabbing me by the throat. "This was all about revenge!"
"So this was all a trick?!" I managed to say.
David made a crooked little smile and nodded.
"So, none of this is real?"
"Oh, it's real." He said. "It's definitely real, and this time, the stupid Animorphs aren't gonna win, I am. You should've never tried to capture me!"
"You were a threat," Marco said fully demorphed only to be grabbed by a Taxxon.
"No, I was one of your betters! I should've been leader! Me! Me! Not you guys! ME."
"David, you think the Yeerks are really helping you?" I asked. "Their using you, to get to us!"
"I know, but what they don't know is, I poisoned the Yeerk Pool, all the Yeerks will wither and die in a matter of hours killling their hosts."
"David......" I began. Cassie was dying, Marco and I were gonna get killed, Jake and Ax were walking into a trap and Tobias was dead. It was all over.

<Prince Jake,> I whispered. <It is 3 minutes until the two hour limit, you must demorph.>
<Not until we hit your homeworld,> Prince Jake said. <I can make it.>
<But Prince Jake....>
<Ax I mean it.>
<Ok,> I stared straight forward into the vile face of Visser Three.
<Ok,> he said. <We are almost here, when we do, I expected your army to be there.> He looked Prince Jake's way. <We have the AMR fully functional, we must balst every single Hork Bajirr to make sure, he is not aboard.>
<Ax, time?>
<54 seconds Prince Jake.>
<Great.> I felt the ship lurched forward and hit the ground. We were boarded out and Prince Jake was getting closer to the ray and closer to both of our dooms.

JAKE
Ok, we had two problems:
1) I was going to be trapped in morph and
2) Even if I did get zapped out of morph, I'd have no time to go tiger.
I got closer to the ray. <Time?>
<13 seconds,> Ax said scared.
<That's it, Ax cover me!> I then demorphed as fast as I could. I was running and doing it at the same time.
<It's the human! Get him!> About a million Dracon Beams were fired my way. I ran into this weird forest that seemed to be mostly mist and a few trees. I was pumped on adrenaline. I was breathing so hard I would have a heart attack if I didn't stop soon. I calmed myself and then-WHAM!
An andalite was on top of me crushing my insides.
"AAAAAAAH!" I cried.
<Yeerk!> he cried. I didn't think, I grabbed his hoof and acquired him. He began to go limp. <Did you just...>
"Acquire you? Yeah, I did!" I screamed morphing to tiger the whole time. I then tackled him to the ground.
<You must be the ones in the legend,> he began. <I am Ket Yipthrocktar. An andalite warrior, I study the legends of this world, adn the legneds has that four human youths with the power and one andalite will save our world, and all the others I...>
<Four?> I asked. <There's five of us.>
<Yes, that is also written in the legend, one of you will not make it through this mission, in order to win you must take a life and to take a life you msut give a life.>
I instantly felt full of dread.
<I need my friends,> I began as he stood up.
<Come with me,> we galloped farther into the forest until I saw a small pond. He picked up dirt and threw it into the air. <Say who you wish to find.>
<Ok,> I said. <Cassie, Rachel, Tobias, Marco.>
The, in the pool was a reflection of Rachel, Tobias and Marco.
<Where's Cassie?>
<THe Pond of Forever only reveals alive people, are you sure this is your army?> I couldn't focus, I just kept dwelling on what he said. Alive people. That had to mean then...
<Now what?> I asked fighting back tears.
<Now, just reach out and touch," he said. I began to demorph and reached into the pond. After a moment my hand touched the water. A moment later, something touched my hand.

TOBIAS
I smacked into David's small head and knocked him out. <That's for trying to kill me!> Rachel ran up to hug me. I pushed her away.
<What's going on?> that's when the whole universe ripped apart.
MARCO
We were all swimming in a pond, I felt myself resurface to see Jake in tears.
"Jake!" I cried running to hug him and the second I did, he punched me. Hard.
"Jake?!" asked Rachel as Jake gave us his shut-up-and-listen-to-my-speech-look.
"Cassie is dead, we are millions of miles from Earth, a super weapon is about to go off..."
"A comet's about to hit Earth and eradicate it," I added as Jake lunged for my throat.
"Marco SHUT up!" he growled. "We are not friends anymore people ok? We are in a war, you don't need friends in a war you need soldiers,we are in an endless battle to save the Earth. There are no more secrets now, there is nothing we don't know and there are no more surprises ok? It's all out in the open, right now, this isn't about getting out alive." He stopped.
"It's whether we win or lose."

RACHEL
We were all in battle morphs except for Tobias who was in andalite morph. I could feel the raw adrenaline welling up inside of me. <Ok,> Jake said. <This is it, if we don't beat the Visser there...>
<Don't say that,> Marco said.
<We're going to win,> I said. <Or die trying.>
<Right," Tobias added as the five of us raced into the army of Hork Bajirr.
<As I anticipated!> the Visser cried as all of the Hork Bajirr attacked us. I heaved myslef into the crowd as BAM!
Something stuck me, it was Ket.
<Ket...> I began as he was starting to develop a wicked smile.
<Nope,> he slowly began to emerge into...into...
DAVID
Hi, my name is David. And I have done horrible things. I was amped up on pure destruction and rage. Rachel's scared bear face told me I was doing good.
"Well, I must admit, you all did as I predicted, you really think Jake acquired me? He was wrong." That's when a whole fleet of Hork Bajirr and Taxxons came out of the bushes and trees. There were about a million Hork Bajirr all around.
"We anticipated you'd put a tracking device in the Efiscal Device, and anticipated you'd all be here," I got as close to her face as possible. "We tracked your every move, and the prophecy I told Jake about?! It's all a bunch of hooey. I will get my revenge," I then stood up and pulled out my Dracon beam. I aimed it straight at Rachel's head turned towards Marco and fired.

JAKE
<NO!> I screamed. Marco hit the ground like a sack of potatos. <Marco DEMORPH! NOW!...Marco? Marco!>
<Jake....do me a favor....>
<Anything!>
<Look out....> I whirled around as a lion tackeld me to the ground and began to slash and bite and maul my face. I felt part of my body suddenly burned by a Darcon Beam. I flipped around and bite David's throat.
<AACK!>
<Surrender or I'll kill him!> I screamed. All eyes went on me. Then, the Visser grabbed Tobias, or Ax, I wasn't sure and held a Dracon Beam to his head.
<Prince Jake....> it was Ax.
<No, you surrender or your friend dies or gets trapped in morph!> I knew now. He thougth Ax was Tobias. I looked to my left to see Tobias completely unoticed, Rachel was nowhere to be found.
<Tobias, morph,> I said.
<Ok,> he said beginning to demorph.
<If this plan worked, we'd have an aerial ace, if it didn't.....
Ax would die, Tobais would be next, and Rachel wouldn't be too far behind.

RACHEL
I was far off into the woods runnig through my mind on what morphs I had that could kill them all.
Elephant? No, too slow.
Grizzly? No, too small.
Hork Bajirr? No, that migth get the otehrs killed too. I had no other good morphs that came to mind.
I then realized, David. When I threw him to the ground...I wondered.
I foucused and the changes began.
AX
We were in the biggest trouble ever, the super weapon in the Yeerks grasp, two of my friedns dead and another on the way, and we were out of options.
<Surrender!> said the Visser evilly. Prince Jake clamped harder on David's neck.
<Never!> Jake cried as Tobias came swooping in.
<What?! THe nothlit! I thought...>
<You thought wrong!> cried Tobias as TSEER! A Dracon Beam went stragith through his tiny head.
<AAAAAAARG!> he screamed dying and falling.
<TOBIAS!> I whirled around to see Visser Three demorphing. To..to...David! I whirled back to see the lion Jake had corned demorphnig to Visser Three. The Visser's tail was arched. I jumped.

JAKE
Ax, was dead. Tobais, was dead, Cassie, and Marco, all dead. It was just me and my cousin who had gone AWOL. It was me vs, Visser Three, about a thousand Hork Bajirr, and David. Then, a thought occured to me. Were teh Hork Bajirr really there? I'd only seen like one or two moved, but was it like back in the ballroom, a hologram? Was it? I had to know. I began to trot for David. If I was right, I could get to the Visser easily, if I was wrong, then Rachel would be the only one left

POOMP!
I hit David hard, the real David. The Hork Bajirr stayed still excpet fro a few that came running out. Me vs two Hork Bajirr, the Visser and David. I could take them, David knocked me off and began to morph a lion, but I jumped onto his vulernrable body as the Visser pulled me off. I bti the Visser in the arm adn he turned around. I lunged and knocked him into David. I demorphed and then remorphed to rhinoderous. Before I was even finished I rammed into the Visser until I hit a tree. His blood ran down my head. I turned around and rammed into the Hork Bajirr as the hologram was taken down to reveal a huge lightbulb type thing in the distance.
<The weapon> David got my message, he was already halfway to lion eagle before I could finish. I took off, rhino's are pretty fast when they want to be. Cassie's words ran in my head. THe universe? In danger. True or not, I had to beat him there. Just me and him.
TSEER!
I hit the ground as everything went black. I was able to see a Taxxon demorphing to Tom.
Tom killed me.
RWOOOOOOR!
And I knew Rachel would have to kill him.

RACHEL
I was the cheetah. I was as fast as David, but he had a head start. I was gonig to stop him, he killed all of my friends. Cassie, Marco, Tobias, Ax, Jake...If I didn't win theird deaths would've been for nothing. Tom and my family army discuised as Taxxons were gonna kill me if I didn't go faster.
TSEER!
TSEER! I sped up. Almost there. David took a dive, I took a morph. I demorhped then remorphed to Grizzly. I was waiting for him at the lightbulb thing. He was back to his lion morph.
<Well,> he began. <It's you, and me-> I had no time for words, I roared and grabbed him. I began to squeeze him, feeling his tiny spine breaking under the pressure.
<Rachel...> he began as I squeezed harder. CRAAACK! He fell to a limp and died. I smiled as a Taxxon began to morph.
<No!> I cried. <NO!>
"Hello, did you think that was me?" he smield wickedly. "That was Jordan."
I stared at the now demorphed lion. It was her!
I stared into David's eyes as he began to punch in a code.
The whole sky began to explode and the universe ripped apart.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

DAVID
I woke up. I was in a cell. The door slammed shut. Outside of the bars stood Jake, Rachel, Tobias, Cassie, Marco and Ax. "How?" I asked.
"You think you manipulated us?" they cackeld. "We knew you'd do that, all those killings?" Jake stopped. "Ellimist owed us a favor."
"And the comet full of Yeerks affected by Hemrash?" Cassie asked. "We sent a bug fighter into it and destroyed it!"
The five of them stood there all with angry looks on their faces. "It's over," Jake said. "This time we're not letting you become a nothlit just for Ellimist to take pity on you and give you the power back, this time..." Rachel gave me an evil look she pulled a lever as the room began to get smaller. I tried to morph only to be electrocuted.
"No morphing," Marco said. "No where to run."
Then everything went dark.
JAKE
Well, the world was safe again, Ellimist wiped everyones memory, so we could still be safe, but unfortunately brought back teh Visser. We could handle him. It was time now to talk to Cassie.
"Hi."
"Oh, hi Jake."
"Cassie, you were right, if we're gonna be together."
"Jake wait."
"What?"
"I...don't think we should be together..."
"What?!"
"When you died..."
"I didn't."
"Well, when you supposedly died, I felt...like all my dreams were crushed."
"But..." she kissed me.
"I love you, but, we can't be togehter."
I looked at the ground and kissed her back.
"Ok..and Cassie."
"Yes?"
"Love you too."
