Does anyone know what the timeline is? The proper chain of events?
For example, ignoring the release dates of the books, it starts with the Ellemist Chronicles. Then the HB Chronicles, Andalite Chronicles, ect.
What I'm wondering is where the megamorphs and Visser books fit in. Also any other important books besides Alternamorphs.
I'd like to read the series according to the proper timeline, instead of release dates.

In the Anibase, you can put the books in order. In sort by or something.
I think it's:
MM1 - Between 7 and 8
MM2 - Between 18 and 19
MM3 - Between 29 and 30
MM4 - Between 40 and 41
I believe, according to Anibase, that Visser happens right before the actual series.
-
I thought about putting the Visser right before book 1, but isn't there a part of the book that has the Ani gang going in to help Eva? Or something like that.
I looked at the Ani Base, but couldn't find the part that showed the books. I found it once, but couldn't find it again.

the actual book visser takes place after the proposal, the story that visser one tells takes place before the series
-
But Visser also ties in with the end of #35: The Proposal.
-
The Proposal is the book where Marco gets that call right at the end of the book? I think I remember that happening.
-
yea it is

Pesonally, I count the prologue and epilogue of TAC and HBC and TEC, and the actually story of them is just a story someone's telling.
So:
TAC goes right after #1
Megamorphs #1 between #7 and #8
Megamorphs #2 between #17 and #18
HBC sometime before #23
Megamorphs #3 somewhere around #30
Visser right after #35
Megamorphs #4 somewhere around #40
Ellimist Chronicles right after #54
this is just what I think. Yours will most likely be different
-
thats for the actual things, but the stories that are told are different times
-
well if you want to order the stories, obviously ellimist chronicles was first.
HBC was right after the yeerks escaped
TAC was a few "years" later
Visser was the latest because it was just before the yeerks attacked earth.

They did a good job on this.

You know, I had a timeline of everything in the books including the Chronicles and Megamorphs worked out by year, and then my hard drive got wiped. :-\ Looks like its time for another series reread.
-
i like that list, but the info about humans discovered by the yeerks happended during the andalite chronicles, not before it, then the info was sent to edriss, which means that nothing in visser could have happended before the andalite chronicles.
lol srry i like my animorphs stuff right.
-
actually some parts of TAC and visser do overlap. remember near the end of TAC the ellimist said yeerks have already landed on earth
-
Yeah, the earliest scene we have from Visser is when Edriss receives news that the humans have been discovered. Which is news Esplin 9466 sent after meeting Chapman and Loren. So those two events overlap, approximately. Everything else in Visser takes place after that moment. The trial itself is post 35 and most of the flashback/memory scenes take place in (I think) the late 70's/early 80's, which is about the same time that in TAC the Ellimist would be taking Elfangor back to his people.

I love this. Visser One hates Visser Three with a passion, yet one could argue that she owes Esplin 9466 for her entire career!
I'm eating this bowl of irony, and it's delicious :P
