Have any of you noticed that KA put some things in the book that went over the average young reader's head, but funny for anyone old enough to understand?
Such as when Tobias asks Jara Hamee the difference between male and female Hork-Bajir, he responds something along the lines of, "Male Hork-Bajir have two blades on head, female have three." When an ani asks if there are any other differences, he answers, "Yes, but only for Hork-Bajir to know." I thought that was pretty funny.
Also, when Rachel had her morphing problem, one of her dreams was of herself morphing elephant in a store, crushing a kid with an orange hoody, to which a bystander shouts, "Oh my God! She killed Kenny!"
What other things have you guys noticed?

Well, I caught the Kenny thing when I was a kid, but that was also the point in time where I couldn't stand South Park because everyone was talking about it ALL THE TIME. (Kinda for the same reason I can't stand Family Guy right now) So when I saw that joke as a kid, it actually pissed me off. lol. But now looking back, I find it funny, since that joke isn't as ALL OVER THE PLACE as it was when the book came out.

What's funny is I remember being a kid and watching South Park . . . even though we kids weren't supposed to, yet I did not catch the South Park reference. :P

When Ax said something along the lines of Rachel giving Marco a hand signal that he was told was inappropriate ;D that was funny to me back then, actually it still is  sad that I still like fart humor :P

I'm not sure about implications (I'll let you decide) but I think the Mutation (book 36) was probably the most unusual out-of-this-world-but-in-this-world story I had read when I was about 12. I'm not sure about the Animorph's ages but in that book I vaguely remember there was an implication the underwater people wanted to mate with them (probably a few years down the line) which is a kinda weird thought. I think the excuse was their devolution.

Yes, that was quite hilarious. Just a bit more crunchy development for our characters.

Yeah but I've blocked out not only the implications of The Mutation but the story itself because despite the fact that the books consisted of Alien invading slugs that was just to kiddy for me.

I didn't and still don't get either of them...

Well, morf, you're on your own for the first one.
Second is a reference to a running gag in the first season or two of South Park. It showed up in literally every single episode of the first season, and less often (but not by much) later. Kenny dies in some terribly gruesome way, and then:
--Oh my, God, they*('ve) killed Kenny!
--You** bastard(s)!
*: "they" is sometimes replaced with another word like "he" or even "I"
**: almost always "you", rarely "we're".
This is such a long-running joke that there's a 10-minute long video compilation of just this one joke.

And that's just part one.
