Ok im sorry about this but i have to get a few more opinions.
I have just re-read the last book and now i carnt help thinking that Applegate left the book very open for a sequal series or mabey even another book. i mean The series closes with real cliffhanger of an ending, introducing that 'The One' which may be affiliated with Crayak. so what do you think? could the heros survive the ship ramming. is Ax still alive inside The One. the DNA sample of the poler bear, is it rachal?bait?rachal-clone! or is this just my imagination because im so upset it ended on a cliffhanger.
Ps. i am in no way saying that a new series should be made im asking if its a possability..
Pss i mean come on it was called the Beginning i mean what dose that mean at if its at the end. the beginning of the end, this is only the beginning. WHAT!!

Well, in Fanfictions, DinosaurNothlit is making more books. She's got 55 posted and is working on 56. So, you may want to check those out.
But I completely agree.

ok iv just finished Nothlit's fan fiction for 55 and 56... the where awsome. if they wher presented to Applegate they could probably get published if she wanted to do a new series...

There was actually one day, I woke up really confused soon after re-reading the series, and could have sworn that there was an actual sequel published. And I was sitting there trying to remember why I had never bought it. I vaguely recalled half-hearted excuses like "it wasn't that good", but then thought that no, if it was Animorphs, I would have bought it anyway.
It took me about an hour to realize the the series I was thinking about that had a sort-of-sequel that I never got into was actually Goosebumbs.
That is my random thought of the day.

Despite the cliffhanger, it's pretty obvious that KA didn't intend to make a sequel to book 54. In her own words, she said that she just wanted the Animorphs to go down fighting. It took me a while to accept it, but I honestly can't think of a better way for her to have ended the series.

I still believe the universe itself should have expanded to more books, more characters, K.A. had a dozen ghost writers who could have easily taken over their own mini-series, the ending was a beginning for a larger and fascinating sci-fi world, Andalites and humans starfaring together, (humanity possibly retaining control of a few Yeerk vessels, or buying them off the Skrit-na) the kelbrid, The One, it could have been big.
Well, there's always fan fiction, no?
