Title: Hello.
Post by: Alic on February 11, 2009, 02:32:22 AM
So. My real name is Patty.. I work/ go to school/ full time mom... So don't expect to see me on here much. Grew up on Animorphs (Geez started 10 years ago?) I'm 22.
Started out 10 years ago at the Galaxys Edge SPace Bar / Kimmeree's Anichats... And have made WONDERFUL friends that I have still kept in touch with all these years.. So Animorphs mean a lot to me.

Now.. The me you might get to know better is Aliciania-Kilomes-Arendes. She's not the same fiesty andelite she used to be and her background is mostly a mystery. My character that, again.. I used 10 years ago.

Let's see if I can get back into this RPG thing. I remember it being a lot of fun.. But being a momma has lowered my vocabulary a bit..
Nice to meet you all.   :)

wHELLcome, Alic ^^
I hope you'll have fun here, even if you don't come very often.
About the members (the RAFians), don't be afraid. They're strange, but usually funny and kind. And not as dangerous as they seem to be at the beginning ^^'

I always tell to the new members about the current projects RAFians have, so here again:

Quote from: wildweathel
E-books Project (mostly complete, and therefore inactive.  However, there has been some activity trying to clear up the last little details in support of the Translation Project),
Remnants and Everworld E-books projects will be soon finished too (we need somebody to scan Everworld #10)...

Quote from: wildweathel
RAFipedia (an encyclopedia of the weirdness that goes on here, headed up by Estelore)

The Audiobooks project, a full-cast audio version of Animorphs, which is currently reactivating.  There are many non-acting positions open, plus quite a few parts (especially extras) as well.  Mrguy, Morfowt, and myself are currently heading that.

The Translation Project (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1907.0.html) (actually in the Other Books board currently), a recently started project/mutual support group for translations into other languages.  With a lot of random language-geekyness.  Currently, there's been interest in French (Dameg, Tocade, Anidragon), Chinese (Morfowt), Indonesian (Nat), Swedish (Mira and Zana), and Esperanto (myself)--but as far as I know, no real goals have been set yet.  Personally, I'm only interested in continuing work on my translation once the Audiobooks are moving along well.

The Webcomic project: making the comic of Animorphs (2 threads, in Animorphs discussions and fanart).

The RPG project: I'll do it in French, but with some RAFians, we gonna translate. And RAFians also help ^^ a lot!

You can participate if you want, there is absolutely no obligation, it's just for fun ^^ Take a look, if you want.

Hello there. Good to see more new peeps. I'm Mr. Guy. I founded the audiobook project, but now it's mostly me, wildweathel, and morfowt who are working on it.
Just don't be put off by the craziness.

*swirls his cloak and looks around*

Subway tunnel?  Dang, overshot it again!

*swirls his cloak, appears in the proper room, and gives an overly-formal bow*

Oh, welcome, Alic.

<Why, hello there,> says an odd-looking dinosaur that just entered the room.  *crash*  <Oops.  Hope that wasn't expensive.>

*leaps out of puddle*  Welcome to RAF!  May I inquire two things?  Oh, don't worry that I'm a seal, you'll get used to it!  One: What is your species?  Two: Do you have any sanity left.  We have a no sanity rule here.  If you still have some, give it over.

((WARNING:: if you can't understand me.. I've been drinking. Sorry. Bear with me that's who I am on days I don't have my kid.))
I am an andalite.. But I enjoy my human morph and.. well.. humans like me better that way.
Sanity? Ask those in the galaxys edge space bar topic....... Most of them may say No.
If I had any to share I probably would. If I could trust you with it! Sanity is a rarity.
Oh. Seals? Totally cute. I train dogs for a living. Same deal right?

Won't see much of you? Don't be so sure. Just wait till this becomes your newest guilty pleasure.

Oh gosh.. We shall see! In between working, Mommy-ing, studying and dog training.... I see this being up with all those! Too many old friends on here from years ago... It's like I'm back in my past.
I actually got on ebay and reordered all the Animorph books. . . I don't have them anymore and I never finished them.. I don't even know how the story ended. I'm positive once I start reading again I'll be back on top of the game. I'm pretty indestructible.

I never finished them.. I don't even know how the story ended.

Warning: spoilers abound, and we only mark spoilers for non-Animorphs media.  If you want to learn the end from the books, you need to read them first.

Post by: Alic on February 13, 2009, 04:28:39 PM
Eh people can try and spoil.. but without all the details it won't matter. I'm just gonna start from book one and refresh myself and do it the right way
Title: Re: Hello.
Post by: wildweathel on February 13, 2009, 04:34:22 PM
Well, just so you know, every so often, in the most unexpected places, and without warning people start griping about the end.  It's pretty tragic and twists in a couple unexpected ways.  It's definitely as easy to spoil as Half-Blood Prince was.
Snape kills Dumbledore.
(HBP spoiler) Three words.

If you don't care, cool, but I've got to warn you, cuz I was.

If people don't become addicted, some of us help them...
