Post by: fao13 on February 10, 2009, 10:33:59 PM
hey, just re-read The Ellimist Chronicles. ok, so does anyone have a picture of a Ketran? i was reading their descriptions, and can't seem to get a very clear picture of what they look like. i keep thinking of Pidgeot from Pokemon for some reason.

There's no picture.

But definitely, they're one of the more unique & creative creature designs in the series, from the description.

I saw pictures on DeviantArt. Maybe 1 or 2, not more... But I also had problems to imagine how they are.

The best interpretation I've found so far is: http://ferahgo-the-assassin.deviantart.com/art/Ellimist-Unfinished-22850583

The only thing inaccurate about it is that the Ketran are suppose to have 4 arms, not 2. But otherwise, that picture I linked matches my mental picture almost perfectly.

They're supposed to have pods too. That picture isn't how I imagined them. That looks like a mammal with wings instead of a bird with some extra appendages.

And the Andalite in the tank? We can make them stronger, faster, better. We have the technology!

I think the Andalite was from when he went down to their world, anyway yeah the picture doesnt quite fit what I imagined either, the first thing I thought when I saw it was "Wait . . . where are the pods?" nevertheless it's an awesome picture.

Yeah, thanks for reminding me. He made an Andalite body for himself, and that was likely it.

The way I see this, the pods are on the inside of the docking tallons. See how it's more fleshy underneath?
