Jeez he just read into it waaay to much. I don't care what religion people are etc. but I don't like people who are so religious that look for things against god etc. I mean if you really tried you could make anything that isn't the bible or related to the bible Satanism or whatever. It is a sci-fi book series I doubt K.A. Applegate decided to mean any of these things that this person explains. And this guy put down other religions such as animism etc. I hate hate people who do that sort of stuff, even if this was supposed to be satanism, which it obviously isn't, people are entitled to their own beliefs...
Edit: and I quote "It is a good thing that people expose Animorphs for what it is." Dude what it is is a science fiction series not a whole book series with secret messages against the bible!
(i can't believe I squeezed all that out of my head...)

Now you see why I hate Laura Mallory, Damien.
On-topic, I remember that idiot. I swear these people think if they go on these "crusades" they garner points to get into heaven or something. ::)

A bit of trivia for you guys: That post has been around for years. You see that part at the end where it says "Name and email are ommited"? Well, that's because an Animorphs fan from Morphz wrote this. He/She did it as a joke, but when they started getting harassed for it, they erased their name. I believe it was Guillermo or someone with that name that wrote that.
Don't take it seriously guys.
*A couple of minutes later*
Here, I found the link (http://morphz9768.yuku.com/topic/367/t/Is-Animorphs-evil-No-of-course-not.html?page=1). I was wrong, Guillermo was the one who posted about it. The real person was named Emily and here she is confessing to it:
I wrote what was on the satanism site.
Now, before you all kill me, let me assure you that I did it as a joke. I found the site through one of the HP boards, and figured it would be funny to write this fake article on the evils of Animorphs in order to make Jon Watkins (the owner of the site) look very very stupid.
I'm actually a big fan of the books. Yeah, I don't agree with everything in them, but they are interesting and fairly entertaining. I've moved on now to other obsessions now that the series is over. (Though I still look for Tom fics, since I have a massive crush on him)
So, please do not kill me. I only did it as a joke.
Emily

This is what I get for being an old person.

Aww, I had a nice long post all typed out before I read that. :P You ruined my fun.
-
lol damn! I start an interesting thread only to find out the article it's about was false!
Dammit Reaper! I wanted to hear more of ppl's reactions
Aww, I had a nice long post all typed out before I read that. :P You ruined my fun.
post it anyway, I wanna read it

Truth's a ****.

Wait....

I swear these people think if they go on these "crusades" they garner points to get into heaven or something. ::)
That is true! That is why in real life and online I try to stay away from the topic of religion, people argue way to much about that subject and it strikes many nerves. I'm not religious but I do celebrate christmas, I guess I'm christian. *Shurgs*
No that this has to do with this particular case but you also see these kinds of jerks in literature, like in To Kill A Mockingbird I can't remember exactly but these group of religious people tormented a lady that lived across the street from the main characters because she liked to garden and they said she'll go to ___ because of her hobby or whatever.
And don't forgot the Europeans enslaved the people who lived in Africa and destroyed their lives but thought they were doing good because they were converting some of them to Christianity. I hate history class because of all the missionaries you hear about that come from Europe...
Religion is way to delicate a subject, it is best to keep it to yourself and talk about it in a friendly manner and not put down others as you do.
Edit: Darn it was fake, oh well I still hold my opinions on how much people are jerks when it comes to religion
-
Already deleted it, alas. But it was something along the lines of my wanting to pick the article apart and send a nice, friendly reply to the person who wrote it, pointing out why the things that were mentioned were in fact not evil.
-

I remember that(chapter 4)! we're readin the book in school right now. they were the type of ppl tht thought that if u didnt do something that had to do with the bible, then you're committing a sin and you'll burn in hell for it
-
off topic, but that book was decent.
not classic-worthy, in my opinion, but pretty good.
-
Even if it this particular article was a joke, there are still people out there who believe similar things, and most likely with Animorphs. As Cloaky pointed out, Lauren Mallory is an excellent example. Or a horrid one, depending on what you're trying to prove.
-

Ever heard of the Garden of Adam and Eve? ;D
Anyway I'm actually in a play at Oddfellow's playhouse that has to do with the "Monkey Trails" or whatever called inherit the wind that has to do with evolution vs. religion and one scene really creeps be out where people are shouting that the offender or whatever should burn in ___ along with his lover which was the priest's daughter or whatever... It always gives me a chill when I read it.
-
so uuuuh...who is Lauren Mallory?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_debates_over_the_Harry_Potter_series
Someone who is attacking the harry potter book series on religious terms, I only read the first paragraph or so.
-
I'm sorry this guy is funny.
I'm going to send him EVE stuff (some of which is REALLY deep on spiritual stuff) just to troll this guy and also sending it to #Scrapheap to let them tear him apart.
-
Wow. This is some funny carp. ;D
I'd like to see this person hash out some Orson Scott Card, who happens to be a devout-Christian-who-writes-like-an-atheist. >:D
-
ouch. ::)
dnd (http://www.exposingsatanism.org/dnd.htm) gets busted.
-
Yeah, I saw a site once that said certain things were related to Satanism. Pokemon, Harry Potter, and animorphs among them. WTF? Pokemon? The show that teaches about friendship and kindness to all creatures?
-

they think it has to do with animal fighting. dunno. i love that show/game/etc.
-
Actually I read somewhere that it was something about "Summoning demons" or other such nonsense.
Anyway, on-topic, I didn't know that it was fake. I suppose that Emily person does things a little too well . . . even if it is fake.
And, Faerie, I don't want to split hairs, but it's Laura Mallory.
-
I just ignore things like that...

Emily
Darn. Should have known it was a troll.
-
yeah, i kinda figured she didn't really write it.
why would she admit it?
plus the rest of that site has similar feeling. probably the same/similar person wrote it.
i can understand harry potter, but pokemon/digimon hate is a little far.
-
WHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHHHA!!!!!!!
*can't stop laughing, falls from her chair and rolls on the flour*
This guy is so stupid!! And I'm reading other stuffs on this website! It's so funny!! Can't stop!!!! lol lol lol
Funny example:
Homosexuality: God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!!
and then: No I am not a bigot, nor homophobic. I am a believer in the Holy word of God, and If the bible says its wrong, It is wrong. If you are read this and thinking hate you will feel hate.
Noooo, of course you aren't! (wahahah!!)
Vampirism: And as long as there are those like Anne Rice and Stephen King to glorify it, more will become entrapped in Satan's snare.
Gothic's: Satan has control of their minds and they don't care what they do.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/864984.stm (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/864984.stm) about Buffy ;)
Pokemon: Another clever scheme to seduce children in to occult thinking is Pokemon. It is laced with eastern mysticism. Buddhist Mysticism, Hinduism, meditation rituals, Egyptian Book of the Dead, Book of Tao, the Analects of Confucius, the Gita, the I Ching, and The Tibetan Book of the Dead are some of the teachings that influence the game. It is all wrapped up in cute little characters to teach children Witchcraft and Satanism.
And of course Harry Potter: Some teachers are reading these books to their classes. They are pagans using the school system to spread their agenda. Your tax dollars are being used to promote Witchcraft and no one is coming against it. Now read a bible or mention Jesus in school and your locked up. Pagans state that theirs is a bona-fide religion with the same rights as Christianity. So why are they allowed to teach it in the schools?
RPG: Half-elf, Halfling, Half-orc-- There are no definitions in the dictionary for these three creatures and I admit I do not know what they are. However from what I know of mythology they are somewhat like the above. Perhaps Half elf, half human etc....
(they admit they don't know what they're talking about ^^) any rational person can see this game is demonic.
(do you really think you're a rational person? ^^') the game [Dungeons&Dragons] teaches witchcraft, demonology, voodoo, necromancy and satanism.
(really? ^^' why they took this example? INSMV wasn't better to explain what they think?)
I stop here, but it was really funny ^^
I think we can have this conclusion about them: They don't like SF nor fantasy... and in fact the only thing they like is their bible ^^' they don't seem to read a lot of other books... and TV is devil for them! lol
-
God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve!!
Whenever I hear that stupid phrase it makes me want to kick puppies.
-
Oh, it was a joke? So she would make it funnier, with many explanations about tiny things like "why the name of the main character's dog is evil" ;)
-
Because the dog's name is Homer, which is also the name of the character in The Simpsons who eats a lot of donuts and bacon, which is gluttony, which is one of the seven deadly sins!!
Hehe.
-
Hehe thanks Mirienne ^^ I was sure you'd find it ;)
Another one: "Why the Hork-Bajirs are Satan's children"
and: "Why Controllers are satanists, and Yeerks devils" (and the Animorphs are the exorcists ;))
-
who voted for the last option on the poll?
-
Someone probably just voted the last option for kicks. Like the person who wrote the fake article. Might even be the same person.
-
lol yeah, just a joke I think... as when I went to the USA and wanted to answer "yes" to the question "did you already kidnapped and rape an American children?" whaahahahaha!!!
-
...I'm gonna ignore the fact that I don't see why you would treat that question as a joke...
-
Do you really think this question on a paper they give to every foreigners who wanna visit the USA, isn't stupid? And it isn't the only one.
WHO WOULD ANSWER "YES" TO THIS QUESTION!!!!???
So YES, for us, it's a joke!
-
why? hmm...I don't know, but there are crazy people out there...
-
...I'm gonna ignore the fact that I don't see why you would treat that question as a joke...
It's a joke becuz nobody would ever really say "yes" to that or admit that they did so there's no point in even having tht question
-
Because the dog's name is Homer, which is also the name of the character in The Simpsons who eats a lot of donuts and bacon, which is gluttony, which is one of the seven deadly sins!!
Hehe.
Also Flanders (the super religious dude) is the Devil

how does Animorphs (a book series that deals mainly with war and admittedly touches lightly on Animalism) connect to Satanism (a twisted mockery of Christianity that promotes the Self over other people?)?
it doesn't connect... not even remotely
-
You know Shock, I just realised you've been here for a long, long time..
-
You know Shock, I just realised you've been here for a long, long time..
and what happened to make this realization occur?
-
I don't know, I think I've just been seeing you around here a bit more often these days.
-
hahaha, I think I saw this....years ago. It's such a load of crap. Hilarious, though :)
-
Thanks Blue ^^

Don't ask being logical to this kind of people ^^' They don't even know what is satanism or animism! Their own religion is even too big for their little brain ^^'
-
Although poorly written and structured, it did have many interesting points about religious symbolism in the books that I had not really realized before. I knew something was up because generally, the people who actually believe something is evil will prematurely judge it as evil without observing all of it. Also, until the end, it did not even portray the books in a negative way, it was just pointing out religious similarities.
