Hi!
My name is Rosanna and I come from Sweden.
I have been a huge Animorphs fan since my older sister's friend first introduced me to the series when I was 10 years old. I then started buying the books, but unfortunately they stopped translating and selling them here in Sweden after book 16 + the first and the fourth Megamorphs (I know, it's really annoying that they released the 4th Megamorph here, but not the 2nd or the 3rd!).
This was a few years ago and I have now recently started buying them over the internet from the United States. I now have books 1-16 + Megamorphs 1 & 4 in Swedish and books 17-20 + Megamorphs 2 + The Andalite Chronicles in English and I'm waiting for books 21 and 22 to arrive ;D
When I have the rest of the books, I might get the ones I already have in Swedish in English instead. They're much better in the original language ;)
Anyway, I'm very happy to have found this forum and I'm very much looking forward to meeting everyone :)
I may not be able to come online as often as maybe some of you (I don't know how active everyone is) because I have a lot of school work etc to do. I hope that's okay :)
Talk to you later,
Rosanna

Welcome to RAF! Hope you have fun and please check your sanity at the door. ;D
Look forward to seeing you around the forum. I'm Gaz, but feel free to call me Gazzy or R2.

Thank you very much :D

*swirls his cloak and appears*
Hmmm . . . right universe this time.
Welcome, Zana. You may call me Cloaky -- everyone else does, and, frankly, I find it humorous.
-
Thanks Cloaky :D
-
You did it, Cloaky! yay! ;D

Welcome! Hah! This time I'm the first to mention the projects!
RAFians have many projects you can participate and contribute to if you want:
E-books Project (mostly complete, and therefore inactive. However, there has been some activity trying to clear up the last little details in support of the Translation Project),
Remnants and Everworld E-books projects will be soon finished too (miss Everworld #10)...
RAFipedia (an encyclopedia of the weirdness that goes on here, headed up by Estelore)
The Audiobooks project, a full-cast audio version of Animorphs, which is currently reactivating. There are many non-acting positions open, plus quite a few parts (especially extras) as well. Mrguy, Morfowt, and myself are currently heading that.
The Translation Project (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,1907.0.html) (actually in the Other Books board currently), a recently started project/mutual support group for translations into other languages. With a lot of random language-geekyness. Currently, there's been interest in French (Dameg, Tocade, Anidragon), Chinese (Morfowt), Indonesian (Nat), and Esperanto (myself)--but as far as I know, no real goals have been set yet. Personally, I'm only interested in continuing work on my translation once the Audiobooks are moving along well.
The Webcomic project: making the comic of Animorphs.
The RPG project: I'll do it in French, but with some RAFians, we gonna translate. And RAFians also help ^^ a lot!
Sweden, huh? There's been some interest in continuing the Swedish translation after I wrote about the project above.
And don't feel like you have to pick up a project either. There's plenty of random silly fun, too. We cater to all attention spans. ;D
-
Thanks for the welcome, Wild :) (is it okay if I call you Wild?)
Also, thanks for the info about the projects :)
I'd be happy to help out with a Swedish translation, if there's any interest :)
I'll check out the other projects too :D

welcome zana. have you noticed how crazy everyone here is? ^^
-
Thank you Azguard!
Haha, well, kinda. I've noticed some weird stuff, but not really any craziness. But then I haven't been a member for very long ;)
-
Trust us on a good day on RAF chat when some of us get going...

Thanks for the welcome, Wild :) (is it okay if I call you Wild?)
Sure 'Zana.
Haha, well, kinda. I've noticed some weird stuff, but not really any craziness. But then I haven't been a member for very long ;)
Neither have I. I've racked up over 350 posts in two months. How's that for crazy? Or how about the time Dameg asked what species (http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,2154.0.html) members are?

Not to mention that faerie and I have taken to making a list . . .

-
OHE!!!! Wild, you took my job!!! and my speech!!!
Anyway...
Welcome, Zana ^^ I'm glad to see a new European member! You said you have a lot of homeworks, but that you also wanna help for the Swedish translation. Thanks a lot ^^ And don't worry if you don't have much time for it. If you only can help, it's already cool!
Hope to see you around ;)
-
Thanks Dameg! :D
Yes, absolutely, I can help :) How do I do it?
And I'll be as active on this forum as I can :) I like it here already ;D
-
Haha I see that ^^ You're already talking in some threads! Great!
About the translations, go in the thread about it, in Other Books board. And talk with our Swedish translator ^^ I'm sure she'll accept your help with pleasure. She already had some problem with the translation of some words and titles. I think you already can help her for that.
Ganbatte!

Okay, great. Thanks :)
