Tobias could have easily trapped himself in many different morphs but he chose the hawk. I was wondering what else he could have trapped himself in. Dude was one potential option. Basically he wanted freedom with a powerful body.
-
I think he chose hawk because that was the one he was actually in at the pool. I don't think he would've gone the length to demorph, then remorph just to trap himself in cat form. He didn't really have many more morphs.
-
No other form would've been as perfect of a fit for Tobias other than a hawk. The freedom of being a bird of prey, of being at the top of the food chain rather than below, was everything he desired.
-
Yeah, the hawk was an escape for Tobias. It would be easier to find that with an animal that could fly.
I do remember in the fanfic series Pokemorphs ~snerk~ that the "Tobias" character was trapped as a Mankey. I always wondered why not Pidgey or ...Spearow or something. xDD
And wow, I seem to have forgotten the names of the evolutions for those two.
-
hahahahahha , Pidgeot, Pidgeotto, and Fearow respectively.

I may have a copy.
*dives into archive hard drive*

hahah, that should be interesting. it is an interesting concept.
-
this thread isn't loading for me.
anybody?
i can view the bottom portion though, so i think he should have been an andalite. :)
-
No, someone else did it (screen name "Rachel", at Pokemasters, IIRC), a very long time ago.
Unfortunately, a search of my archives so severely degraded performance (thanks to Linux bug #12309) that I had to stop. I'm fairly sure, though, that I deleted my copy (stupid!). I'll look around Google next.

Nothing would make you feel more free than being able to fly, and the hawk was his bird morph.
-
tobias considered to be a hawk or osprey at the first, but he chose hawk. hawk is his way to escape and freedom, but he really wanted to be fully human again...
-
true that....i guess it was a side of him that didn't existed....but came into being.
-
i always wanted to see him stuck in a mountain lion morph.
would be a pain to go into town though.
-
Honestly, I can't see him as anything as a hawk. I've been brainwashed, lol.
I kind of like the mountain lion morph, though (above). At least he'd be in a better fighting morph.
But in all honesty, the 'morphs would be screeewed if they didn't have their 'eye in the sky'
-
Seriously. How many times did Tobias warn them or save them from utter destruction. In 7, I think, he swooped in through a window and saved them.
-
What book is it that Tobias tries to kill himself by flying through the glass roof of the mall? Thats some pretty heavy stuff.
-
#3, The Encounter.
-
ya that was pretty heavy for a kids book.
i dk, other than maybe some other kinda bird, i cant think of any morph that woulda been more useful and worked out as well as the hawk did. altho had he morphed a golden eagle he wouldnt have had to have been so afraid of them. no messes with a golden eagle, they take down baby deer. do u realize how big a baby deer is compared to a bird? like seriously, awesome
-
Maybe, but as they tell David the eagle's size could have been a problem in the long run, besides I think it was a convinient way for Tobias to still have bullies to deal with, as if to say "have you really escaped from all you problems?" not that he himself didn't point out a multitude (or like five or six) of other reasons why the morph wasn't exactly heaven 24/7.
