Okay, here's the little mini-play I wrote, hope you like it. I may not post ALL of it now, but I'll see what I can do. :)
booth
by: Tyler Thompson
We open on an empty booth (seats 4) in the cafeteria at [insert your high school name here]. After a few moments of quiet, 4 students approach the booth and find their seats. Louis sits in the right corner seat, his oldest friend Ricky in right-aisle; Hayden, the only girl, sits left-corner, and left-aisle is occupied by a student known only as Joker.
Ricky: Do girls like giving blowjobs?
Louis: Are you serious?
Hayden: Really, Ricky?
Ricky: What, it's a legitimate question! Hayden?
Louis: Do you actually expect an answer?
Joker: What's a blowjob?
The others look at him, shocked.
Ricky: You know what, nevermind.
Joker: What?!
Ricky: You'll find out when you're older...I think.
Hayden: Anyway, guess what movie I saw yesterday?
Joker: Bridget Jones's Diary?
Hayden (surprised): Ye-yeah, actually. How'd you know?
Joker: Know what?
Hayden:...Were you spying on me last night?
Joker: Not last night.
Ricky: Well that's classy.
Louis: Oh crap, I forgot!
Louis pulls his book out of his backpack. Inside is a packet. He begins reading and answering questions.
Ricky: Whatcha workin on there big guy?
Louis: Study guide for A Doll's House. Act II is supposed to be due today.
Hayden: Don't worry about it, I just had that class, she doesn't check it.
Louis: You sure?
Hayden: Yep.
Moment of silence.
Louis:...Nah, don't wanna risk it.
Louis continues working.
Ricky: I read that. How do you like it so far?
Louis: It's pretty good, I dunno. Hayden, why does Nora change her mind about asking Dr. Rank for a favor?
Hayden: Because he confesses his undying love for her.
Ricky: I feel like Jeff Daniels is a really under-rated actor.
Louis: You said that two days ago.
Ricky: Yeah, but I feel like I didn't get an enthusiastic enough response from you guys, so I figured I'd try again.
Hayden: I admire your persistence.
Ricky: That's what she said.
Joker: Who?
Ricky: Your mom.
Joker looks around, confused.
Joker: Where?
Louis: He means your mom said it, Joker.
Joker: Said what?
Hayden (frustrated): Oh my god.
Hayden buries her face in her arms.
Ricky: Who came up with the nickname "Joker" anyway?
Louis: Hayden.
Hayden: Nuh uh, I thought Ricky did.
Ricky: Well I know I didn't. Joker, who started calling you Joker?
Joker: You guys have been calling me Joker?
Louis: Do you ever pay attention when we talk?
Joker takes a drink from his carton.
Joker: My milk tastes funny.
Hayden: That's orange juice.
Joker, surprised and confused, peers inside his carton.
Ricky: Hey Louis.
Louis: Yes Ricky!
Ricky: Who do you think would win in a fight between you and me?
Hayden: I'd actually like to see that.
Ricky: Well?
Louis: (thinks) You and me?
Ricky: You and me bro.
Louis: Hmmm... I think it'd be a close fight, but you would probably win.
Ricky: Oh really?
Louis: Yeah, I think you would.
Hayden: And why's that?
Louis: Ricky doesn't hold back.
Ricky: That I don't.
Hayden: What do you mean?
Louis: I mean that once we start fighting, we're not friends anymore until it's done.
Ricky: You betcha buddy.
Ricky pats Louis on the back.
Louis: Hayden, how does Mr.s Linde plan to help Nora?
Hayden: She's going to convince Krogstad to drop the blackmail, I think.
Ricky: Hey you guys, who do you think can snap their fingers the loudest?
Hayden: Me.
Louis: Me.
There is a long pause. Suddenly, all 3 start snapping, trying to be the loudest. Joker begins clapping his hands, even after the others stop.
Ricky: Dude, what are you doing?
Joker: I'm snapping my fingers...
Hayden: That was clapping your hands.
Joker: No, this is clapping your hands.
Joker begins clapping his hands.
Hayden: I know.
Joker: Exactly.
The others stare at him, amazed.
Ricky: I can't tell if you're stupid, or if you're just crazy.
Joker pulls out several condiment packets from his pocket.
Joker: Ooh honey packets, I forgot I had these!

I like it so far, Tyler. You should post more! You're a pretty good writer.
-
Clearly you haven't read his Titan City posts Anna, otherwise you'd already have known that!
Nice work Tyler, I'm very interested in seeing where this goes. It's actually kinda similar to an idea me and my friend Dan had a while ago. We thought it would be funny just to film ourselves every time we got together and then made funny videos based on our random conversations.
-
Haha, I have read some of 'em. But not in months.
But yeah, it's a real cool idea. Like a mini series or something.
-
Yes, annna, exactly like a mini-series. :)
updated, btw.
-
Hahahaha that's awesome, Tyler. Can't wait for another update!
-
WRITE MORE!!! ;D
I'm still chuckling. :)
