:o I've noticed something very strange: In the absolutely
FIRST boook, Jake talks to Tobias in thought-speak without being in a morph, and yat, later it's
stated that thought-speak is only possible in morph... I do not get it. Which is true, the fact
stated in the first book, or the ones stated in all the others?

It was a retcon. A Kasu. nothing more

The simple answer, a KASU (KA screw up)
more detailed answer: at first KA was gonna make thought-speaking possible in human form, but later changed her mind and forgot to edit that part.

Yeah it was just a KASU (Katherine Applegate Screw Up). Basically she just changed her mind about it in later books.

Ok, to use this topi, how are these for a Paradox:
Did Jake save Cassie or the World, in a choice that made the mysterious aliens at the end of The Familiar say [...Interesting choice...]?!
Did Rachel kill or not kill David/rat in that final moment of The Return?!
Why would KA opt to leave it to our imaginations to finish these stories?

I'd like to think that he saved Cassie though, and Rachel ended up putting David out of his misery XD

I think Rachel killed David. But she (Rachel) couldn't write it. ;)
And about the choice of Jake. Don't know but I think he'd save Cassie. Love love love... make people stupid ;)
And Katherine does that to let us write more fanfictions and become good writers for the next children ^^

You gotta thank the writers for these forgotten things and screw ups. There is so much material for whoever wants to pick up the series, huh?!
We should do a list of open plots that were left hanging in the series...
