Okay well I was thinking of ways to celebrate an "ANI-versary"
(meaning the day or relative time of year you started reading or heard about Animorphs)
and I wanted to know if you all could come up with ways to celebrate this by adding to the list. You can be serious or not. ;D
I'll start....
-re-read your favorite Ani-book
-eat instant Maple and Ginger oatmeal for breakfast
-walk outside and sream, "I love Animorphs!!!"

I'm not sure when I started reading Animorphs, but is was around the time that book 15 came out. Or possibly soon before. Also, it was summer because I read my first book at my grandparent's summer cabin.
I don't really celebrate an ANI-versary.

I would eat instant maple and ginger oatmeal, except that I can't actually find any. (And believe me, I've looked) The closest I can find is instant maple and brown sugar... Which, granted, is yummy, but it's still not Animorphs-oatmeal. :(

Yes, I started reading Animorphs during the summer, too.

If I knew the date I probably would celebrate it, since it's basically what got me into reading in the first place and my love for animals. The first book I read was book 5 from my school library, but I didn't buy book 5 until a bit later when I saw it in a shop (in Scotland I think). I could probably work out the approximate time of year based on when book 8 was released here (that was the latest book at the time) and when I was on holiday in Scotland. It was probably during the summer of 1997 or 1998.

Mine is december 7, 1996, and I've got a big party planned, all my friends are coming, we're gonna have an andalite ice sculpture and a yeerk shaped cake and we'll have a petting zoo with a tiger, a bear, a gorilla, a wolf, a hawk, and an hobo we duct taped to the face of a horse. Should be a good time
haha I dno I probably wont do anything, I've never really thought about it before

LOL, those are great ideas! ....Poor hobo...Ha.... Lol, an Andalite ice sculpture and a Yeerk-cake would be truely awesome. Okay, you have my Ani-versary celebration beat by a long shot so far, lol. If we ever have a RAFconvention then we should definately have all those things.

-a dunk-tank/Yeerk pool with someone who looks like Visser three
-Taxxon pie eating contests

How about a caraciture artist who can draw you morphing animals of your choice? That's a must for the Ani party. Also life sized sculptures of the main characters for you to get a picture taken with.
Who could resist getting their picture taken with their arm around one of the animorphs, or cowering before the intimidating glare of Visser Three?

Lol! Now THAT is a kodak moment. :happy34: And morphing caricitures would be so cool!
And it gives me another idea....
-we could have an Animorph's look-alike contest. The prize could be a life-size bluebox replica that glows in the dark or something, lol.
-or we could have a game of capture the flag with two teams, team Animorph and team Yeerk. Whoever wins gets a Time Matrix trophy or a bluebox trophy.

Lol, those are great! I would freak out if I found out there was a local club called "The Sharing." But then I'd probably join just to see what it was all about. ;D

I guess "the sharing" must be a relatively common name, but that is a pretty funny coincidence. ;)
I think it's Truth that has a website with a link to a sharing organization website and if you look at the bottom of the page, it's signed Victor Trent. :o

I completely forgot about my ANIversary! But, when i first heard about them was about uhh, I'd say about October of '07, but I was really confused by them because the librarian only had 5 and that did NOT include #1. I truly read them in April-June. But then I didn't have much time and library was only once every 2 weeks so I only managed to read 10 books. Then, I heard about RAF and downloaded/ read the whole series on my computer in about 2 weeks.
Some more things I do.
-I imagine that I am them and feel the agility of a tiger, the strength of a grizzly, the flight of a hawk, the weirdness of Marco! You get the picture...
-I practice my 'LET'S DO IT!'s. I am soooo close to getting it right. No wait, just did it.
-I try and play out each character in a book. I might invite a friend or 2 over to just play out the whole book together! I usually do either Rachel or Tobias. Sometimes one of the others if Marco has a really good joke, Cassie is being too huge of an animal freak, Ax if he's being a major Ax, or if it's Jake and Megamorphs 3 *stifles sob*.

It's about time for it. Sadly, I started warriors and animorphs about the same time. I don't know the exact month when I started animorphs, but I know it was cold out (and the computer said some animrophs documents I made were made in january '07, I assume I knew animorphs before then.), so it must have had been late in the year. I started warriors in november when I was in minnesota last year.
I'll do a combo celebration! I'll re-read my books that I have myself and start reading Ax books and my favorite warriors books and scare people by acting like Ax or...I don't know, like a young kit from a certain book. I will add more chapters in my crossover and do illustrations of Andalites and cats.

I don't...remember exactly when the first book came out, so...I have no idea when my ANIversary would be :(. Sometime in 1996, lol. I'd probably just go around with my RAFcast t-shirt on that day, 'cause it's got the sillohuette on the back of all of the group, I'm horrible at celebrating things. Oh wait, I wear that shirt anyways and the design's half-faded off. :/ See? I'm horrible at finding ways to celebrate.
- run around telling bad Marco jokes (I think he only had one good one, so that should be easy)
- visit the local zoo, try to get into the exhibits and acquire animals
- give everyone with one of the Animorph's names you meet that day a gold star sticker
- talk to all dogs you see roaming around (wait, I have to do that for work anyways...:/)
- avoid swimming pools at all costs
- lock any oddly-behaving relatives up in a closet for three days, feeding them only water and instant maple and ginger oatmeal until you're sure it's genetic and not a yeerk

Lordy! I have no idea. I think I was in first or second grade! 1996 . . . twelve years ago! I was only nine. I think I remember being sick, but I really wanted to go to the book fair, so my Mom took me. I saw the book with the girl turning into a cat (#2) and had to have it. I think it was just #1 and 2 out at that point. From then, I was hooked and bought each one as soon as it came out.
If I remembered, I'd celebrate with a candy bar and by rereading a book or two.

I did that once... :P
Sadly, I don't recall the exact date of my reading it...However, I do remember reading the latest book first [number 3], thinking |What???!!?!|, and then burning through the first two in less than an hour. I thought |wow!|.
Then I thought |Not again...|, because we all know how hard it is to be hooked on a series that is still being written :P. Now that I've suffered through it, and still enjoy reading the series, I suppose a celebration is in order ;D

Happy Meal with extra happy... I actually tried that once (on a dare) and all I got was a funny look.
And I always talk to random animals...

-Relive the summer vactation when I swore to my friend that I heard voices in my head. 3 boys, 2 girls. They were debating whether or not to let me join them.
-relive that day when I sat watching a fly for 2 hours. When they were over I sadly walked back into my room, distraught because the voices weren't letting me join them.
-put a piece of cheese in my cabinet to feed the mouse that could be an Animorph in morph! (I'm still keeping my fingers crossed)
-tell everyone I know that the finale of the Animorphs were just made up and the animorphs are still trying to stop the Yeerks! And that Rachel is still alive.
-beg everyone to not join Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts because it's really the Sharing's new disguise...
-remember that one of the forementioned voices was happy because he was my favorite character, or at least exactly like him
-watch all the animorph episodes on youtube while reading the books and loudly complaining about how unlike the books they were.
-go on RAF all day long
-morph dolphin and go swimming through the ocean for one hour and fifty-nine minutes, good thing I'm in estreen, huh.
-try and use my tiger claws to tear through the walls of my padded cell. Aww, man. It's tiger proof!!!
-Do the same with bear morph
-and elephant
-and every other morph I own
-start a new animorph fan base
-make your own ANIbase
-scream "TOBIAS!" at every hawk that you see
-go to a museum in Cape Cod and look at the stuffed RED TAILED HAWK and cry "why did they do this to you Tobias! Why!" until they remove you from the museum.
-pretend your house is the next mission and you are an animorph
-write a how to list for the animorphs

I've done those. :)
Where I live there are quite alot of birds at a certain time of year and whenever I see one that could maybe be a red-tailed hawk I shout, "Tobias!" and wave my arms in the air to see if it looks at me. Hey, you never know.... ;D

I cant believe I haven't even had one ANIversary yet! And i've read all the books and it seems like i've been reading them 4 years!
