David's lion morph seems to be a winner. P 126 of The Threat. Lion David almost takes down Visser 3! End of The Threat: Lion David seriously injures Tiger Jake.
Given how effective David's lion morph was, why didn't any of the Animorphs acquire lion morphs in the post David era?
-
Lol, AniTV beat them to it.

Who is AniTV? I haven't read of that character. When did he/she join the Animorphs?
-
Is that sarcasm?
If it's not, AniTV is the animorphs TV show.
Duh.
-
I can't tell if that's sarcasm.

Why would AniTV assigning a lion morph to an Animorph prevent K.A. Applegate from doing the same?
-
It didn't. James acquired the lion morph later on.
But seriously, was it sarcasm?

I was indeed joking. But why didn't any of the primary Animorphs ever acquire a lion morph in the books after seeing how effectively David used his lion morph?
-
Because the memories. They wanted to forget about David.
Also, it was interesting to compare James and David even though I don't think K.A. thought that far ahead.
-
Actually she did. That was a little worry from the group in #50.
-
No I'm saying she didn't use the lion morph for the main 6 because she was saving it for James. If that makes sense.

Why can't we have more than one person owning a lion morph? After all, most or all of the Animorphs can do ants, bee, termites, ****roaches, fleas, flies, seagulls, wolves, polar bears, elephants/Rhinos, Hork-Bajir, dolphins, whales, and squid.
Rachel's possession of an eagle morph didn't keep Applegate from having David morph an eagle!
-
They had different eagles, silly

It seems silly to avoid an effective morph just because you don't like the guy who choose that morph!
-
David traumatized them. They don't want it.

I think by the time the main team had already settled on their battle morphs, and didn't care to try it. It was similar to the tiger, so one might think if anyone was going to test it, it would be Jake. Except he's the one that got beat by it. Also it might not be rational, but it's not unrealistic to think there was a stigma attached to it after what happened to David. It's tainted. Maybe unfair, but it happens sometimes.
