Spoiler question about a brilliant tactic Ax uses in this alternate timeline book that he doesn't use in the prime Animorphs timeline.
At the start, the Drode offers Jake a deal: The Crayak can undo Jake et al ever going through that construction site to become Animorphs! Jake, traumatized by the long war, agrees, but in his mental exhaustion, he forgets to specify that the Crayak prevent the Yeerks from coming to Earth! PP 106-7: Ax appears on a TV station, but is quickly removed. PP 135-136: Ax appears on all stations except Channel 7, and is able to stay on long enough to summarize the whole Yeerk infiltration situation. Why didn't Ax ever try that tactic in the prime Animorphs timeline?
Because they, the humans, wanted to stay undercover, fearing that an by outing the Yeerks, they'd go to an open war we'd lose before the Andalites showed up.
Fresh of the ship Ax, without the human influence, figured the only chance was to inform the public. A strategy that itself didn't go well, did it

They wanted to have a secret war.
Here's what I wondered about that tactic: why did it even work? Since when does human broadcasting technology have the ability to pick up or transmit thought-speak?
That's called a plot hole :P.
Maybe he was able to do it because the timeline was breaking down
