It has never been stated. If the cube could take the power, then that whole buffa-human fiasco could have been avoided.

Its possible that Ax and the Animorphs were merely unaware of the ability of a morphing cube to also be an unmorphing cube. Ax might have zoned out the day someone told him of the unmorphing feature. After all, he zoned out during the lecture on Sario Rips (The Forgotten).

Seems like pretty important info to miss out on. Anyway since this never mentioned in the series, I can safely say no.

Seems like pretty important info to miss out on. Anyway since this never mentioned in the series, I can safely say no.
Maybe only a few Andalites know about the unmorphing feature, and don't divulge it to Andalites of Ax's rank!
