Title: Japan
Post by: Dameg on September 16, 2008, 07:31:42 AM
So... As I said quickly in "Belgium" thread, I'll leave for Japan in September 24th (D-8).
I'll arrive in Tokyo the 25th, but I won't go on Internet very often...
Then I'll be in Matsue, Shimane University/Campus near October 2th. But I don't know if I'll have Wifi, or if I can go on the computers of the Univ' very quickly...
So I won't be on RAF very often in the next month... maybe...
But don't worry, I'll do everything to come on Internet as often as I can, and I'll continue helping with ebooks and making the RPG about Animorphs...

I just can't live without Internet now ^_^'

Wow, I hope everything goes well!
Do you speak well in Japanese?

Don't be away from the internet too long, trust me, you might go insane! :P I know I would.

if you're gonna be living in Japan for a while, you better know better japanese than me. otherwise you're doomed, cuz I wouldn't survive two days in japan.

Hehe, I can say Good morning, Good afternoon, Hamburger, Hotdog, Pink, Orange, and numbers 1-10.

How long do you think I'd last in Japan?

I thought you were Japanese, Morfowt ^_^'
Don't worry, I know a little Japanese, and they talk English in the airport. Last time I went to Japan, I only know few words... and I survived ;)
I go overthere to learn it. And I know people in Tokyo, so it's ok.
PS: Samurai and ninja are both from Japan. Same for kamikaze, geisha and "Godzilla" (I think it's "gojira" in Japanese). Samurai were warriors around the Edo period (about 4 centuries ago, and before and after), ninja are/were kind of hatchet men or body guards... if they'd ever existed ^_^' kamikaze => WW2. And geisha aren't prostitute women.

Hamburgers must be very important for Americans... but I don't like them so much. I know to say tempura, sushi, maki, sashimi, ramen... it's better ;)

lol I didn't see any killer ninja robots ^^' But if I find one, promise, you'll be the first who know. lol
Yesterday  drunk too many sake (alcohol) and didn't sleep enough So now my head is turning and my mind is sleeping a little.
If you come to Japan, first learn how to say "No, thank you, no more sake" ;)
I also ate sashimi and maki. Later sushi...

PS: if you see "z" in place of "w", it's because I have problems to type with Japanese keyboard ^^'

HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE SUSHI?!

Japanese food is the best ever, fact.  I want to eat whale, just on moral principle.  Support the fisherman, raise the middle finger to the hippie terrorists!

Oh, try the Japanese beer there, Dameg.  Japanese beer is awesome.
Title: Re: Japan
Post by: Myitt on September 25, 2008, 09:17:30 PM
Dameg, you MUST go to as many konbini as you can, eating as many onigiri and drinking as much GIGANTIC Asahi beer as you can.  Grab your friends and go KONBINI HOPPING! :D

And eat as much curry rice at CoCo's as possible.

And carry handkerchiefs for the public restrooms!

And tell everyone you know, and even those you don't...chotto kitte...*wave*....*whisper*...subete wa...inbou da....

Because we did.

Yes.

....

.................

^^;;;

And handkerchiefs with advertisings... I always try to do a collection of them, zhen I go to Japan! hahaha

I ate sashimi tonight again ;) Now you can cry! hahahahaha
And I tried Asahi (yes, I know, already...): it's between beer and sake lol not so good for me. But I tried 2 other beers, a peach-beer and a grapefruit-beer. It was very good, particulary the peach-beer ^^

Have some curry rice at CoCo's, level 4....it's like the fast food of Japan, but it's reeeally good.

Level 5 is the hand of god....

...they go up to level 10 o.O;;  I think you have to be suicidal to try anything above five XD

Hope you're having fun over there Dameg ^__^

I ate sushi yesterday (not sashimi... changed a little ;)) and again few sushi this morning for breakfast!
The weather is a little sad and I can't understand Japanese very well, but it's cool. Today I go to hakihabara... alone...

I went to Akihabara just a few days after that awful attack...be careful Dameg!  If anyone comes running up with that crazy look...just dive into the nearest anime porn store and you'll be fine...

We went to one called Lamtarra which we thought was funny, because my name is Tara...um...yeah  ;D

And there is a giant sign for Yellow Submarine.

Do you see!?  ^__^ ...and yeah that's me XD;  and my friend Lisa saying "you can kind of read it?..."

Post by: Dameg on September 28, 2008, 08:09:02 PM
hahaha! The anime porn shops ;) But the cat-ladies and maids didn't give me their promotional papers, yesterday... I don't know why ^^' lol but I had 3 Kleenex packs ;)
I went to Akihabara, but the scanners were too expensive. So I guess, if I wanna scan the Remnants #6 and #8, I'll have to find a (boy/girl)friend who have a scanner ;) I also returned to Ueno. I like this park. I wanted to see the panda in the zoo, but it was closed when I arrived.
Today I'll go to Aoyama, Shibuya and Harajuku. Maybe Shinjuku if I have enough time...
About the samurai, don't worry, they disappeared many years ago. And for the yakuza... I guess I'd have better not to go to a tatoo-shop in Shinjuku, showing my own dragon-tatoo ^^' Except that, it'd be ok ;)
