At the end of "The Weakness", a Yeerk infested Garatron gets bitten by a cobra. Why doesn't the Yeerk bail out of the Garatron's body?
-
I doubt that would really help. V3 wanted him dead. He probably realized that, due to the tight circle of Hork-Bajir.
-
Although, it begs the question -- how'd they capture a Garatron in the first place, if they're so quick. Or how they kept one long enough for their Yeerk to feed in the Pool (assuming this happened).

The Garatron was on a pier leading to the Yeerk pool. The Yeery could have bailed out right into the pool!

I forgot exactly where it was. It's just one of those things that didn't happen. There's no real explanation, aside from the author just being done with that character.

Why for Kandrona's sake didn't the Garatron-Controller Inspector bring body guards????????
-
He didn't think V3 would have the guts to kill such an important individual.

Visser One DID bring bodyguards in book 2. Did she have reason to fear that Visser 3 might assassinate her?
Shouldn't high-ranking Yeerks bring bodyguards as a matter of course?

Book 5. They should, yes. Certain things just don't happen, in order to facilitate the plot. Like how in book 31, there is apparently no plan set up in case a controller has to travel. They'd rather commit murder instead of finding a way for Tom's Yeerk to feed away from the pool.
