There are plenty of times when it would come in handy. Seriously, think about it sometime throughout the day- animals are better physically equipped for so many things than people are. Having read Animorphs, of course, I'd have to try flying almost immediately. I'd undoubtedly love it so much that I'd do it pretty frequently. I think a lot of my time would be spent morphing different animals just for the experience.

I would have maybe used it too morph a bank manager or something and cash up and then be outta there, demorph, and be on my way to hawaii xD
Or morph a mouse, get into my favorite chocolate store at night, demorph and pig out. then remorph, get out the way i came in, demorph, remorph to owl and fly home happy.
and Probably morph into someone I hate and then do something that would get them into trouble - slash a cops car tyres or something while I'm them in morph. make sure the cops see my (their) face clearly to be identified. then the person i hate would wake up next morning with the cops banging on their door. they would deny doing anything wrong of course, cuz obviously they didn't do it, but only me and them would know that. in the cops eyes, they are 100% guilty. and could u blame the cops? after all, they did see him/her committing the crime.
and also, Maybe i would use my morphing powers to get close to megan fox somehow.

In this scenerio, no one knows about it but you. only you have the morphing power and no one else knows about it - that its possible to morph stuff, and only you have it.
I'd say after watching shows like CSI and law and order, and then equipped with the morphing technology, and being extra careful, i could cover my tracks well enough to never get/be caught. ;D >:D ^-^

I already know, I'd give into every sick temptation availible. I'd start like Acalio, get some money, mess with a few folks, but soon I'd get bored, and I'd start doing every low down thing a person who can be anything would do to any and everyone.
In fact, if some day in the future you hear about animals do all sorts of random and excessively cruel things on a regular basis, it probably means I've figured out how to morph.
But you'll never truly believe it, so you'll never turn me in :evil:

Still, either way, I'd get the largest bird of prey I could, and disappear for a few months. I need a break from life. Maybe get a wolf and run for a bit when I get bored of flying.

I'd morph an otter and slide down a snowy hill into water. Otters have so much fun!
Or maybe I'd morph into a hawk and fly. Or a bat, heh, I had a dream about that once.
Barring all that, I'd morph into someone famous and ditzy, and drain their bank account, make it look like a boozer.

All you guys worried about making money... I don't know how concerned I would be with money if I could turn into any animal I could touch. Seriously, if you can be a fly or a hawk or a wolf or a dolphin or even something they didn't morph frequently in the series, would you still see appeal in anything money could buy? Being able to turn into animals can potentially attract more members of the opposite sex than being rich ever could, especially if you're the only one who can do it. Besides, I'm sure I'd be an estreen :P

Okay, well, first I would just yell "SQUEEE!" over and over again for about an hour, because having morphing powers is pretty much my biggest dream come true. Then I'd pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming, morph a few random things to make sure I hadn't just imagined it somehow.
And then, after I finally calmed down a bit, I'd turn into a hawk and go flying. Then I'd turn into a dog and run around smelling things. I'd find a body of water somewhere so I could play around as a dolphin. The possibilities are endless!
And, yes, I would probably have to try out a fly morph so I could spy on people.
But what's with all you people wanting to steal money? I didn't know we had so many . . . Davids . . . on this forum. Seriously, what's wrong with you people? It's like you think there's something out there that you could buy that's better than morphing. :P

your right, morphing is much, much more significant than all the money in the world. but you know whats better then just being able to morph?

i guess at the end of the day, money is what matters most. cause imagine if you had a crappy job, earn little and have loads of bills to pay. sure, u can morph into various animals and have some fun - for 2 hours at a time. but then eventually, you have have to get back to reality and your normal human life. unless you would want to become a nothlit and live life as another creature...i dunno bout that - i wouldn't want to be anything else permanently other than myself, a human. if i really enjoyed living as a bird lie tobias, i would just simply keep on demorphing and remorphing every two hours. i woudnt want to stay stuck in just one form and not be able to morph ever again.
So, even though u have morphing power, if you stayed as a human, you would still have to lead your human life. you could possibly make alot of money legitimately by using your morphing power to become famous, but some people may not want that sort of fame and attention - being a celeb is not everybodys cup of tea. so other than that, i guess simply stealing a large amount of is too great a temptation for a morph capable person - especially if that person is already financially......no t very well off. and the economy these days is not so kind to people who are financially less fortunate, as we all know. i cant and am not speaking for everyone else, but thats they way i think of it. it would certainly be much easier then waiting for a promotion or studying years at college to get a good paying job. these are the two morally and ethically correct things to do, but once you are morph capable and u know that there is an easier way to get rich, albeit immorally, with these temptations, the lines of morality and ethics becomes blurred, and self-justification comforts your conscience and before u know it, you would be taking the easy way, stealing the money and stuff.
Just like how alloran with his decision to realise the hork-bajir virus.

close enoug, though i was thinking people i know rather than megan fox since theyd be easier to get my hands on, and yeah camera as well. if i were to get morphs of celebrities, the camera would probably get me money as well.

I don't think the babies in the stomach would survive the mothers morphing/demorphing. Maybe this has been discussed and has concluded that they would? i dunno.
But imo, i dont think they would, as they are not really a natural part of the mother i.e. they are not the vital organs, because morphing and demorphing resets the DNA and the body to its normal state right? like how a person could heal injuries and diseases by morphing and demorphing.

hahaha then no, i reckon if person got pregnant whilst in either animal morph, or as a male in female morph - the babies wouldn't survive since in both cases the babies would not be able to exist or be supported by the body. the baby would be gone after the person demorph, and if it didn't, the animal bay would be incompatible with a humans body anyway - just like how an animal sperm cannot get a human pregnant and vice verse. the baby animal would just perish. and with a human male who gets pregnant while in female morph, once he demorphs if the didn't hadn't already been eliminated by the morphing process, then it obviously would not survive in the male body as males are not equipped with the neccesary organs required to sustain a baby like a females body i.e. ovary, wombs and whatever.
but maybe im wrong (its got me thinking of that arnold schwartzanegger movie where he gets pregnant lol xD)

Easy answer Id fulfill my deepest desire.
I would aquire the first animal I could get my hands on (dog, bug, whatever). I would morph it then IMMEDIATLY demorph. The reason why is because I suffer from SERIOUS medical problems ever since I was about a year old. If I morph then demorph no more medical problems cause Id have "clean" DNA. I know it's not EXACTLY interesting, BUT imagine not having the energy to walk a couple blocks. Imagine not having the energy to climb the 3 sets of stairs to your apt. Imagine having to get blood transfusions once a month and IV iron every 3 months.
When you can imagine ALL that you will have SOME knowledge about what my life is like. You can UNDERSTAND why the ONLY thing I care about is the "clean" DNA and becoming a normal person like yourself.
That is what I would do and I dont care if you laugh at it. I know what I want and I'm always honest about what I want.

Anyway, if I suddenly had the power to morph, I would keep it secret at first. I would take some time to figure out how to deal with this newfound power and wether or not I should tell anyone about it. During this time I would be acquiring animals and trying out different morphs. Where I live I could easily acquire things like dogs, cats, cows, horses, various bugs, toads, pigs, and maybe even a pigeon or a sparrow, or even a buffalo. But I would also make trips to pet shops and petting zoos and the like. I'm sure I could get a respectable variety pretty easily.
Then I would probably tell a few close friends and relatives about what I could do, but I would make them keep it a secret. Who would believe them anyway?
Eventually I may try to make money doing shows and go on talk shows as a guest and do other things like that. The attention may become unbearable for a little while, but eventually most people would get bored with even something as awesome as a person who could morph.
But whatever happens, morphing would be an amazing experience.

In all honesty I would probably use morphing as a type of therapy. The easiest morph for me to obtain would be my dog and the mind of the dog is absolutely perfect for me. I'm usually super stressed out and sometimes rather grouchy after work and I think it would be easy for me to use morphing as a means of escape.

Morphing escapism... I absolutely second that one. It's a shame morphing comes with the two hour limit. I feel like having to keep track of time would take some of the enjoyability out of being a dog or a bird or whatever.

I would probably first acquire my dog and see how that goes. I guess then I might go to a zoo and pull one of those almost-get-eaten-by-a-tiger-and-then-escape-at-the-last-minute deals. I would go to school and freak people out, haha! well maybe not the freak people out, but I would get a fly morph and then spy on people. :evil:
Well, I guess I understand why people worry about money and why they would steal it, but I don't really think of that kind of stuff. I might try and find a dove, then morph it halfway and freak out people with my 'angel wings'. :bow: Same thing goes for bat. :rofl2:
I like to swim, so I think I would acquire some type of fish and morph the gills. Just think of the amazing pranks you could pull with morphing powers!
But once I get sick of all that fun stuff, I would try my hand at...
SUPER-HEROISM!!!

I also figure that morphing has benefits in normal life as well as what you'd do as an animal/different person. You'd be able to take more risks and do dumber things without worrying about it.
For instance, I'd really like to learn how to do a backflip. However, I don't have access to a trampoline or anyone or place I could go to for help. I'm afraid to do it on the ground because I could seriously injure myself. Doesn't matter now, if I pop a disk or get partially paralyzed or something, just morph and demorph.
Party hard, get drunk. Morph, demorph, sober for the next day and no hangover. Friend has a contagious disease? Who cares, go help him. Diagnosed with cancer? Miraculous recovery. STD's? Pfft.
Aside from the risk of the two hour limit, morphing has no downsides but so many benefits. Actually nevermind, my main concern would be the fact I'd morph alone, and if I get overcome by the morph's instincts, I'd be screwed and end up trapped.

I would try my nabour's dog first, than a bug like fruite fly to sneak to our nearest raptor center to aquire all the birds, say bye my friends, leave a brife (random) note fo my parents then fly to mexico or what ever as a perigan falcon, aquire a few more animals like dophins and spend my life morphing random animals and living like random animals.
I HATE my life and i really don't care what other people think and just have fun.

That would be hard, especially coming from the medical point of view. I don't think that my illness, Crohn's Disease, could be cured because it is an auto-immune disease. But who knows, right?
But for fun? Go to the Atlanta Zoo, buy some kind of back-stage pass, and acquire as many animals I could get my hands on. Then do the same thing at Petsmart when they got adoption weekend.
Maybe acquire one of my neighbor's cats and try to catch a squirrel to then acquire that too.

Because I'm a geek, I'd try and backwards engineer the technology behind morphing. Figure out how DNA of animals are stored in Z-space in the daytime, skydive without a parachute in the afternoon and unashamedly abuse morphing in the night-time! ;)

If you go and acquire a pregnant being's DNA one would assume the DNA would be the same pre-pregnancy so you wouldn't morph into the pregnant form.
If you were pregnant you wouldn't bother morphing for risk of hurting the baby! Ok if you must force the issue and morph whilst pregnant realistically I'd think you would kill the baby (technically foetus, a foetus is effectively a parasite not a symbiote). Think of morphing with clothes or a needle in your arm. The umbilical cord is just a tube to the foetus. If you follow the very unrealistic "logic" of the Yeerk morphing with the host then presumably the consciousness of both host and parasite are somehow stored in a non-corporeal form or maybe an open link inbetween Z-space and real world. In that case you would also assume that the parasite Yeerk would stop having physical control over the host since it's an equal battle of wills without the Yeerk having physical access to the host body's brain to control it.
Possibly the location of the "brain" doesn't matter when morphing so at a stretch you can imagine that the morphing technology automatically locates sentient (questionable) or conscious minds and stores that together in the non-corporeal/inbetween z-space so the foetus's mind would be shared like a parasite's. You would then reach a roadblock of whether a foetus's mind is advanced enough to actually be recognised and kept. Interesting questions arise such as would you be able to communicate in this way with your foetus. What effect would this sharing of body do to a growing foetus's mind? This is assuming that the mind of the foetus is kept otherwise after demorphing and barring any physical damage could the foetus not have a mind afterwards?
These could be interesting areas to explore in a fanfic but realistically no caring mother would EVER EVER risk their baby like that unless it was life or death to both of them and I suppose since abortion exists maybe a not-so caring mother might do this. To quickly summarise, IMO the umbilical cord whilst biologically part of DNA it's just a tube that doesn't even connect in the same way to the brain as a parasite would thus seriously risk the baby's current and future health but in fanfic you can say what you want and explore these ideas.

If I had the morphing cube I would let my most trusted friends morph and we'd use it for some personal entertainment maybe occasionally stopping something bad from happening. Occasionally scaring famous people I don't like
ie: say Justin Beiber is in town

And if i could get funding i would have a TV show where goverment agents (you know people you could trust with the morphing power not to abuse and who are also trained) basically choose any three animals (except birds) to acquire and try to use them to clear the wipe out course. Wouldn't you watch that?

If I was the only one with Morphing Power? First start shopping online for DNA of famous and powerful people. Be it a strand of hair from Bill Gates, blood from Donald Trump, whatever.
After morphing those people, start transferring stuff that are valuable but to them, basically worthless, and proceed to profit. If you can't get the world's richest, that's fine, just go find the billionaires or well-paid local actors. A hundred grand here, 50 grand there. It's small enough they wouldn't even feel it, but it's more than enough to live well.

I think I posted this in another similar discussion. But let me clarify before I repost that I would not be a superhero. More like a criminal stealing from criminals with selfishly noble intentions.
Using a dog or wolf morph, I would track down drug dealers and follow them around until I was sure they had enough cash to be worth attacking. Then in a quiet area with no surveillance or witnesses, I would attack them and rough them up just enough to keep them from being able to defend themselves as I demorphed and took their cash.
I would call an ambluance as soon as possible to be sure that the dealer not only got medical attention, but in all likelihood wound up either in jail or a mental hospital but ultimately off the streets.
As rumors of animals being trained to attack suspected criminals began to flourish, I would move from the area either a state or a town away and repeat the process.

I would probably try to become a secret agent in the style of Mission Impossible or something like that. Covert ops are child's play when you can turn into a bug.

The aformentioned dog or wolf morph could most likely smell whatever it is they're carrying. Most people know what marijuanna smells like so getting the dog's nostrils to recognize it wouldn't be tricky. And as that tends to be a gateway drug there's always a chance of finding someone who sells the more expensive stuff.
If you look in the police blotter of your favorite newspaper you'll likely find that someone is getting arrested for posession. So you sniff out the area where the person was arrested and you'll eventually find the source.
Drug dealers would be once every other month. I might even keep an eye on about three or four over the course of a month just to let them aquire enough cash to make the final attack worth it. Bird morph here, a cat morph there and no one would ever suspect that I was onto them.
And lets not forget online scammers. Oh the possibilities.

I think I'd become a secret agent or something. And I'd probably fly around a lot just for fun. Actually, scratch that, I'd probably be my own secret agent and sneak into CIA offices/places like Area 51 to find out all the world's secrets. And then I'd probably be disappointed when I found out it was something boring like experimental military aircraft.
Too bad usually they do the wristband thing for amusement parks, or I'd sneak into huge rollercoaster parks every day of my life.

You could definitely get into Disney World or Universal Studios or any number of theme parks in Florida, none of the major ones use wristbands and most have a lot less security then you'd think [cough]sea world[/cough].

See for most people having super abilities would be a waste. How often would a telekinetic person actually use his/her abilities in ordinary life? People would just treat you differently and/or crazy government/corporate scientists will want to run tests on you. Which means you'd have to hide your abilities or constantly live in hiding. In any case, if you don't want to feel like you're wasting any super-ability then you'd need to find a way to use it and that usually detracts from having a normal life or actually achieving what would make you really happy in life.
I'd still go with what I originally put but assuming the research wouldn't go far then I'd just try and incorporate what I can into ordinary life. Sneaking into exotic places for holidays could be a lot easier but a bit risky if caught on (cc)tv/cameraphone. Also unless my friends had the same ability it'd be a bit of a loner holiday which is less appealing.
I have considered careers related to animal/environment/wildlife and espionage (false identities) but if I was into those things then I would have chosen those things to begin with or paths that led up to those areas. Really having morphing abilities wouldn't add much to my life personally aside from a bit of fun or maybe to escape a few unwanted situations. I wouldn't abuse it to spy or steal not because of moral grounds but because there isn't that much I really want that morphing to steal would give me. Not to mention criminal activity attracts attention which if you don't want to be studied by immoral scientists or constantly on the run is probably not something you want to do too much of.

I would assume most people aren't happy about being cheated on, especially if they don't know the morphing power exists. If they do know it exists, that just leads to a whole new excuse for people to do horrible things and claim they've been framed by an Animorph. Damn it, now I have a new fanfic idea...
As much as I love the idea of being a hero and fighting crime, I think most people if they were honest would do petty or selfish stuff. I think at best I'd be a minor vigilante rather than an actual hero. Say somebody wrongs me or does something rude, I could easily acquire them and set them up. Or at least sneak into their house and morph snake to scare the crap out of them. I don't think I'd do anything seriously damaging, at least not before I'm inevitably corrupted by power, lol.
Aside from that, I'd do all the usual stuff. Morph a bird to go flying and not have to worry about cost of buses/trains to get around. Morph pets for fun, become a member of the opposite sex just to see what it's like, spy on people to see what they say when I'm not around, morph to heal any injuries I might get, etc.

It probably sounds like another petty use for a super power, but imagine how much money you could save by sneaking into various events such as concerts and major sporting events. Not to mention that I could sneak on board a plane heading for America, Australia, or anywhere else in the world I could possibly want to visit. I'd be able to hang out with RAFians whenever I wanted :)

Morph a person, then donate DNA samples.
Morph an endangered species using the Folis maunuver, then donate DNA samples.

The precedents are spotty on that one. Book 29: Ax and the Animorphs are unable to get rid of their Yamphut flu via morphing.
But Book 42: Marco rids himself of rabies by morphing.
