Well, I've dealt with being mostly alone in that department for the better half of my life thus far, so taking care of myself is nothing new to me. I've been obese since middle school. I long ago accepted that no one would want to get with a guy who's big everywhere (except where it counts). Honestly, the only true 'dealbreaker' you mentioned in that sentence, at least for me, is the smoking. The other stuff maybe could be worked through, but I couldn't be with a smoker. Health detriments aside (both to myself from secondhand smoke and to my partner from firsthand smoke), I'm actually allergic to cigarette smoke. People can't smoke in public establishments in Iowa anymore, but back when they could, if I was in a bar for half an hour, I'd be hacking my lungs out, my nose would be running down my face, my eyes would be watering constantly...just misery basically. Not to mention it makes the smoker's *ahem* issuance...taste just awful...like bitter and sort of chemical, instead of salty, nutty, and buttery. ^^
