It's past midnight over here and therefore officially Christmas Eve, so I thought I'd post this parody I made up earlier today. I'm not normally into poetry but I thought it was a funny idea. I know it's not great but I thought since it's Christmas it'd be nice to do something for all of you. Hope you guys enjoy it! :)
'Twas the Night Before RAFmas: a RAFian Christmas parody by Phoenix004 (A.K.A. Mike)
'Twas the Night Before RAFmas
And all through the board,
Not a member was posting
Many even snored.
The forum was empty
And dawn was nigh,
"I guess I'll check RAFchat"
I spake with a sigh.
In ye olde RAFchat
Many RAFians did appear,
In the hopes that Father Richard
Would soon be near.
The chatters 'came restless
People's moods seemed grim,
Chance of Saint Rick's arrival
Seemed at best slim.
And lo
Just when we needed him most,
From the abyss he appeared
Like a RAFmas ghost!
"Awesome-eth!" they exclaimed
Even the noobs cried,
"For just a moment there
we thought you had died!"
Saint Rick smiled and spaketh
"Fellow Mods assemble!
'Tis time to prepare feast
for this grand RAFtable!"
Good times were had by all
And many did cheer,
Especially when one member
Started handing out beer.
Saint Rick held up his tankard
And spaketh "A toast!
To all you grand members
Who make RAF beloved by most!"
So many wonderful things
Make this forum so dear,
And one of these miracles
Happens but once a year.
Father Richard then departed
but as he logged off the site,
I heard him call out to us:
"Merry RAFmas to all, and to all a good night!"

I'm a man of many talents apparently, lol. I actually don't do poetry normally, but I like parodies and wanted to do something for Christmas.

Apologies for reviving my old thread, but 'tis the season after all. I enjoyed doing this last year and thought I'd do the same again. It's not as good as last year, but I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to post your own parodies of Christmas poems here if you like. Merry RAFmas all! :D
'Twas the Night Before RAFmas: Version Two
'Twas the Night Before RAFmas
And all through the forum,
Not a soul was posting
Though they yawned with boredom.
RAFchat was empty
Skype appeared still,
A silence so deep
Bored Board could not fill.
With midnight approaching
And no fun in sight,
It looked as though RAF
Might have a dull night.
Members refreshed RAFblog
But with no such luck,
Many started to claim
That RAFmas did suck.
And lo
As moonlight through the clouds did poke,
Saint Rick appeared
In a puff of smoke!
"Awesome-eth!" they rejoiced
And all of RAF cheered,
"For but a second there
the worst was indeed feared!"
Father Richard laughed
And spaketh thus,
"Miss RAFmas you thought?
I'd sooner walk under bus!"
RAFmas dinner was delicious
And none could refuse,
Even after someone
Started giving out booze!
After many an ale
Saint Rick spake "A toast!
To those who cooked this feast
I love potatoes roast!"
