I thought it would be fun to imagine what the movie posters will look like when an Animorphs movie gets made (and it will get made) hope you like them.

I'll probably make more in the future.
-
Nice, Sub visser -- pity that there'll probably never be an Animorphs movie. . . .
-
They're making an Astro Boy movie...
I think we have a decent shot at getting an Animorph movie.

yeah, i've noticed they've been making a lot of movies recently about 'older' hits.
we have a chance.
i really like the second one.
-
Well . . . here's hoping. Hoping it's not like the television series and more accurate to the series. . . .
And I think the second one would be the "before-theaters" poster . . . does that make any sense?
-
They couldn't make the movie worse than the TV show if they tried. Yeah, I know what you mean, and I agree. Maybe we should blow up one of these and sneak it into a theater, see what kind of reaction it gets lol.

Now that I think about it, Animorphs isn't nearly old enough to be made into a movie yet.
-
. . . I like the idea, but they'd ("they'd" being the theater owners and staff) would probably consider it vandalism. . . . ;)
Oh, and try not to double-post, Sub-visser. *Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know I'm one to talk . . .)
-
when an Animorphs movie gets made
Curse you, Smithers.
-
it'll happen eventually
-
No, a quasi-Animorph movie will happen eventually.
-
I think this would gain some attention, yet people who didn't read the books would still be intrigued.

-
Basic, & good.
That type of classic elegant poster design has been lost, recently. You want to tease, intrigue, not give everything away.
-

I like this one as well.

And finally a poster with the Animorphs involved. This is the order they would appear in theaters:
1(http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr85/joefedewa/AnimorphsMovie3.jpg) 2(http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr85/joefedewa/AnimorphsMovie2.jpg) 3(http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr85/joefedewa/AnimorphsMovie.jpg) 4(http://i472.photobucket.com/albums/rr85/joefedewa/AnimorphsMovie4.jpg)
-
I still think subtle is best.
-
You want to be subtle at first, but then go right out and say it. I think they are all pretty subtle, especially the first two. They show enough just to get you interested and curious.
-
A bear, Asmodeus, a bear.
-
Yeah, didn't quite know where to fit the wolf in.
#4 Makes it appear as though the wolf is standing on the gorilla and the other creature. Can't quite make out what the far most right animal is.

I just squeed, those are fantastic! I really think the posters would look like that. Although, another likely one is some variation on the book cover for The Andalite's Gift, which is pretty movie poster in itself. I like the feet one best. Although, I think, that if a non-fan saw it they'd just think it was a blue goat and laugh at it, but we know the truth and that the creature is much more sinister. My only gripe about the foot one is that you can see they're symettrical and that they're slightly scuffed, I always imagined Andalites as being ridiculously well groomed. Minor stuff though, the concept is still too awesome.
Do you have a larger version of them posted anywhere? With your permission i'd love to use them as desktop backgrounds.

Sorry, those are the only versions I have.

It's really cool ^^ All of them!
I dream I can use correctly Photoshop one day...
-
Those are all really well done. My favourite ones are the blue box and the one with the battle morph silhouettes.

Thanks, I can't argue with the Truth.
-
I, for one, would rather just have it say animorphs without 'The Movie' after it. I just think it sounds better.

I like this one the most!

That is my favorite also, I would probably have a heart attack if I ever saw something like it in a theatre.
-

yeah, with "the movie" title attached people would know there was a book series or something.
-
i think they did this for the "Andalites Gift" book, but where theres a cube and all animorphs are touching it and their hands are slightly morphed into usually their battle morphs. that would be good.
-
I think it would be epic win if they made an Animorphs movie. Just as long as JJ Abrams doesn't do his DAMN LENS FLARES!!! *Twitches* And if he's not allowed near the movie, I'd love it too.
I think the legs is probably the best out of them. The box kind of makes me go: WTF? And I know what it's for...
Just saying. ^^

Those are really flipping cool. :)
Yeah, if they made an Animorphs movie, I think I'd actually stake out the movie theatre to be first in line. :P
-
:D I'd be right up there with you.
Plus, I'd splurge and get IMAX, like I did for Star Trek. :lurk:

:explode: *Suppressing urge to smite*
How do not like JJ Abrams?

Ah, I didn't even think of IMAX!

SCREEN EFFING FLARES...
That's all I can say. That and emo Spock was emo...>.>;
-t3
-
SCREEN EFFING FLARES...
0.o ???
-
Err...I meant:
LENSE EFFING FLARES!!!
>_<; For some reason I keep wanting to say screen...
-t3
-
Again, 0.o???
I've no idea what you mean. The term is lost on me. You need to either describe what a lense flare is, and the movies/shows he uses them in, or you could admit misunderstood defeat. ;D
JJ Abrams is an amazing director, and he backs the greatest TV shows. He's definitely the next Jerry Bruckheimer, if he hasn't surpassed him yet.
-
Um...You know how when the lighting hits the camera just right and there's a flare of sorts on the screen?
That's a lens flare. They're common in documentaries when you can't control the lighting to GET RID OF THEM...
And I'm referring to the latest Star Trek movie. >.>; Something stupid about "looking into the future".
And that's just your opinion that he's great. I can think he's not that good, personally.
Also, I will not admit defeat. If you're still lost, go look it up. :P

Love the posters, if only a movie could be made. It's a shame but with so much to put to screen it would have to be a series of movies, though we can always dream
-

I love this one. People who don't know/remember what Animorphs are would be completely confused, yet still intrigued enough to find out more about what the movie is. You should totally contact some big-name producers and have them start printing out the posters right away. Heck, I would like one to hang up in my room. ;)
-
I like the second and third ones as well. Those would make perfect teaser posters and look good on theater and home walls. The 4th one is a great idea as well but you'd have to manipulate the Tiger and Grizzly look more like what they are.
-
we should start a potistion!
(sorry bout my bad spellnig)
-
or they could go the other way with the poster. it could just say "JOIN THE SHARING."
then again people who don't know the books will assume the movie will be called the sharing.

This isn't a bad idea ^^ What would you put on the poster with the sentence?
-
I must say I liked these posters and thought they were amazing! My favorite was probably the blue box as well. How crazy would it be to see Animorphs coming to a theater near you? AWESOME!! Keeping the fingers crossed!

As awesome as that would be, I would be a little apprehensive. It would depend on the commercials.
I would also have to bring a pillow to the movie so I could scream in it if they screwed it up like with the TV show. Otherwise I'd be goin': WHAT THE HELL??? WHERE DID THA...Crowded movie theater...*Sinks back down into chair and onto floor*
-
I like the morphing cube one because there's no perspective on it. That cube could be a really pretty borg ship or a sugar cube. :D
-
for a tag-line (and im stealing these)
<Hope...>
"Let's Do It..."
"it began with a gift, it ended in a curse"
the last one was off the cuff, but it might not work just because the whole series cant be encompassed in a single movie.

I also remember <Join us.> and <Together we fight.> being used a lot as well. I think <Join us.> would be great on the cube poster because it is vague enough and has a double meaning when used to lure people into a theater.
-
lol cool drawings ^^
Yeah, <Join us.> is great! It'd totally fit on a poster!
-
Total necropost, but with the success of Avatar, I'd love to see The Andalite Chronicles and the other "Chronicles" books turned into movies. Big budget movies, not cheap like the TV series.
I think it can be done!
-
The stories are definitely compelling. It'd just need a really big CGI budget. Who knows? Maybe the success of the re-release will actually spur Animorphs into becoming more than a mostly-forgotten franchise of the 90s.
Also, welcome to RAF, Semeir! :) There's an introductions thread under the social board if you'd like to say hello to the whole gang.
-
Hmmm I'd like to see a poster of Animorphs made to look like the poster of Avatar... an Andalite face instead the Navi face :P
PS: Welcome Semeir, please write your introduction ^^
-
There might be one because they've recently recopyrighted every Animorphs thing for no particular reason.
I'm getting excited!

P.S. check out my first chapter of the promise on fanfiction.net !! I'm MissAbiMarie !!

Sorry to be a necromancer, but I come with good news! Sony Pictures may be producing an Animorphs movie! :)
-
I don't think I'll be getting my hopes up. I think the recent cancelling of the relaunch might mean they're giving up. :(
