So, I was idly sketching an Andalite in organic chemistry lecture the other day, completely not paying attention, when I realized I should probably share some of these silly doodles with the world.
After all, you guys will hopefully appreciate them considerably more than my professor did. :)

Leaping Andalite, honoes.

Sketch of a Hork-Bajir controller. He looks pudgy.

Similar sketchy tripe but colored crappily in Photoshop.
Expect many more, since I'm a terrible student and a compulsive doodler.

I like 'em. Keep up the good work!
-
Awesome work, Ferahgo! :D
-
Woh!!! There so COOL!!! Awesome, really! Continue, please ^^
Did you talk to Gafrash about the Animorphs Graphic Novel?
-
I was about to say that. You should consider the Graphic novel project with Gafrash.
-
I probably will once I have more time, but now isn't a good time for me to get involved in something like that, as much as I'd enjoy it. I'm almost finished working on a series of illustrations to be published in a book, and it's consuming a huge amount of my artistic energy right now. :o That's why I'm taking the opportunity for doodling during class. ;)
-
Very nice! Those are really awesome for doodles! Heck, they're really awesome for a drawing of any kind!
-
awesome stuff! I love the smug look on the bajirs face
-
Well, this is a bit more than a "doodle," but I still wanted to share it here.

This is my interpretation of the Ketrans. I always had a very strong visual impression of how they looked, though, and this is about as close to it as I could manage.
For those who have read the book, this is a specific scene in which Toomin, aboard his ship in orbit around the primitive Andalite homeworld, "grows" an Andalite body in order to inhabit it to mingle with the locals. I know his ship would have looked far more crystalline than this, but I wanted to go for that cartoony "alien spaceship" look.
-
Yeah, I love this pic ^^ I know it for a long time.
And I had the same problem to picture the Ketrans ^^'
-
Thanks a bunch, Dameg! :) I was worried no one was even going to see this.
-
That looks amazing! One of our members, anijen was JUST looking around for ketran pics like two days ago. Has this pic been around? It seems vaguely familiar....do you have a dA account or something that I may have seen it on?

That I do! Click on the image, it takes you to my DA account.
I also posted it on the Animorphs LJ community, since I wasn't getting any response here. :'(
Unlikely, but some people might possibly remember it from the lineart that's been in my scraps folder at DA for five years now. Better late than never, right? :)
-
Haha, actually the lineart is exactly where I remember it from. Awesome! It looks fantastic colored, I'm glad you finally got around to finishing it!
-
Thank you very much. <3
-
Man, we need more fantastic artists drawing obscure scenes with all this detail! *Anifan-squee!* I've seen this one before as lineart but it's really beautiful fully finished!
-
All of these are really good! I saw that one on lj the other day, but hadn't seen the first few :D
-
Already commented and faved on DA, but it deserves repeating that I love that drawing, and I'm crazy happy that you coloured it because it turned out amazing.
-
Thanks so much, guys. :)
-
Awesome :D The first one is my favorite, he's so fuzzy!
I really like your drawing of the Ketran, it always bothered me that she was never clear on what they looked like... I've always imagined them to be more bird like in the face, but they're definitely open to interpretation.
-
I'm really glad that you colored it. I remember seeing the b/w image somewhere. It's brilliant!

Hehehehe! Dude! I love your Hork-Bajir!
I used to sketch during some classes, too! So two thumbs up, mate! HaHAH!
