Title: Animorphs sales numbers
Post by: yoshi45 on September 15, 2012, 02:44:19 AM
Does anyone know of a website that lists the number of animorphs books sold from 1996-2001? I've been trying to find a source that lists the total sales numbers for each of the 60+ books, or even of the series as a whole, but I haven't had any luck.  Is there anyone here who knows where one might find this info?

That information, as far as I know hasn't been made public.

I'm much more curious about the sales numbers of the current re-release.  Are these as secret?

K.A Applegate said in a Youtube video that the whole Animorphs series sold over 35 million copies.

A dose of common sense works here: As far as the relaunch goes, they're canceling it, which they wouldn't be doing if it was making them money, so it's probably pretty low as far as sales figures go. Mostly just old weridos like RAFians who are buying copies just to support the series.

As for over all: Again, common sense. The series as a whole launched a toy line, video games, and a Tv show on a major children's network. That makes it likely that millions upon millions of copies were sold. It'd have to have been so, in order to get companies to do things like tv shows, ect.

Oh we know that but it is just sad that Scholastic is just willing to throw a bone at us and then say "Nope!" and go back sitting on it and do nothing.
