AX is forever British in my mind. Thank you Animorphs: The Radio Drama (that was not sarcastic)

Yeah, I have the same thing. ARDU made Ax permanently British to me. I already had the idea he might be British but they pretty much made it stick.

For some reason I always imagined Visser Three with a German accent. XD

I imagined all of the regular Animorphs with my accent.

And I imagined Ax with, you guessed it, a British accent.

Haha, that seems random. I just imagined Visser 3 with an angrier British accent.

Yeah, Andalites are soooo British.

Visser Three sounded American to me, but like a comic book super-villain. I think it's the "So, you propel rocks at me! You'll be sorry you ever propelled rocks at me!" line. XD

dunno, when i read books all the characters sound kinda the same.
i don't really think about how they sound, i just read it ::)

i think the andalites sound british because they are so proper! and yeah, I always thought Visser Three's persona was like that of a little kid with too much power.

I still have animorphs voices in my head, but I can't pinpoint them to who they sound like.

i always thought when you were 'interpreting' thought-speak it sounded rather monotone.
the andalites all sounded very similiar.

well same with me, i think the only exception was for the andalites.

....and I also imagined the Leerans sounding like those three-eyed green toys in Toy Story. ^^

And of course, the Hork Bajir are Scottish.

Yeah, that's the same. Except I always heard Marco with a slight Hispanic accent.

That's because British people are awesome!  :D

And arrogant lol. :)

That's rich coming from an American (joke!). Anyway, I prefer to think of it as national pride.

For some reason I always imagined Visser Three with a German accent. XD

Ha ha! I guess somebody has been watching too many Indiana Jones and old Bond movies eh? I'll always "hear" Visser Three as a Nazi now!  ;D

And of course, the Hork Bajir are Scottish.

lol, awesome! I never thought of them that way, but I still think it's hilarious! "Jara Hamee eat Haggis!"

Okay enough of that, I'll go through what I remember them all sounding like. I guess I never really thought about it before now but I'll give it a shot:

Human Animorphs: No specific accents really, but they did all sound slightly different in my head. I know they should probably all sound American at least, but they never have done to me. Sometimes their "voices" sounded different depending on what mood they were in.

Ax: When using thought speech his voice was kind of neutral. Not robotic or anything, just very calm and well spoken. In his human morph, the way he talked reminded me of the way a foreigner talks when they don't know English very well.

Visser Three: Again, not any specific accent, although he does sometimes remind of a Bond villain, lol. I always imagined his voice to have a very arrogant sounding sneering voice, but most bad guys sounds like that to me in my head. Very annoying.  ::)

Hork-Bajir: Hard to describe in terms of accent, but sort of like a primitive tribe people type of voice. Like a cave man who's learned to talk (no disrespect intended to the Hork-Bajir, that's just how they sounded to me). Toby's voice I imagined as more normal sounding due to her intelligence and use of language.

Other Andalites: Varied a lot depending on the individual. The normal Andalite voices I thought of as similar to Ax, but the arrogant b*stard Andalites we met sounded more like Visser Three. Arbron sounded like a cross between Ax and Marco, and Estrid was more like a cross between Ax and Rachel/Cassie.

Can't say I ever pictured the andalites with a british accent. That just never crossed my mind.

Jake, Rachel and Cassie are all pretty American sounding. I always imagined Marco with a slight hispanic accent. Heck, when I read some of the books out loud to my sister, I found myself trying to do read Marco's lines like that.

 lololol.

as far as national pride, yeah, americans have a LOT of that. I think they do more than Europeans.

Anyway, if anyone's every played Starcraft I kinda imagined the Hork-Bajir to sound like the Protoss Zealot, rough and gutteral.

they all have California accents

yes, yes they do  ;)

I always imagined Marco with a slight hispanic accent.

why with a hispanic accent? he was born in america and couldnt speak spanish. he said so in book 11. oh and btw a quick aside, they were in brazil in book 11 and that was portuguese the natives were speaking.

I think that when I read the books, they all had Californian accents. But come to think of it, a British accent for the Andalites would make perfect sense.

Also, the Hork Bajir would work perfectly with the Brute voices from Halo.

Hey, um, what does a California accent sound like?

like most hollywood accents, since most actors are from cali. plus we have no accents so we just sound like sum1 with no accents :P

they all had my accent. I have my own!

Sometimes british, sometimes anything and everything else!

i try to be british, but it often mixes with irish and scottish. russian and german and french are fun. chinese is actually the hard one for me, and australian is awesome! course, to a real person from these countries it probably sounds ridiculous!
