After finishing the final wrapping on the woman's leg. He began stroking her hair to help calm her. He saw many signs of healed wounds, as invisible as they were, he knew the signs, and could tell what she had been through. "I'm so sorry." he said as he lined her cheek with the back of his fingers.
A strange new scent was in the air, and the man knew someone else was present. It was only affirmed when Wolf mentioned it too. He got up, continuing to keep his hybrid form. He moved to the fireplaced, and took the fire stoker from its placement. He waits by the door when the intruder bursts through. Wolf sprang for the intruder's arm, and the man swung upward at the intruder's gun. The attack set the gun off, but it merely shot his roof. Thankfully, the cabin was well built and the bullet was stopped and stored in the wood that made the ceiling.
The man twisted the fire stoker, so that the hook would pierce the intruder's hand as he swung downward.
