Horsie's Poetry
« on: October 20, 2010, 09:22:57 PM »
I had kind of an awful evening, and wrote a poem.  I realized I didn't have a poetry thread, so...well, I made one.  Most of my poems are when I need to let my emotions out, though, so be prepared for some really emo writing here.    :-\

Words

Sticks and stones
Can break my bones
But words can never hurt me.
     Not true.
     Not
          True.

Words can be sharper than knives
Cutting deeper
     And deeper
Until it cuts your heart
     And then your soul

These words are not softened
     Coated with
          Love
          And sugar
These words are knives
     And I'm being torn
          In two.

I love you
But your words have cut
     My heart
Each one dropping from your mouth
     Falling
     And mixing with
          My tears
As I cry silently
     In the shadows
Bleeding from your
     Words.

aaaaaaaaaaw poor emo Sealie *hugs* It was an epic poem BTW. I fail at writing poetry(though one of my poems back in seventh grade was published. It was an epic fail though :P)
