Alright, here's another one.

I haven't read the entire Megamorphs three book, but I saw the summary on wikipedia. From what I've read, John Berryman was erased from existence after being wounded at Normandy. Thus, Visser Four never infested Berryman. But what does that say of the fate of Visser Four?

All we really know about him is that he was present on Leera, he lost his rank due to his failure, and his host was John Berryman. But does the fact that Berryman was never infested guaruntee that he wouldn't become Visser Four and try to steal the Time Matrix anyway?

I wasn't sure if I should make this into a thread or not. I just figured someone would have some sort of "definite" answer.

I'm not sure they say it... but I think that it was Berryman who discovered the time matrix and not Visser 4...
Wait for confirmation ^^'

I believe Dameg is correct. I assumed that he was given Berryman as a host after his demotion at Leera, which means he would have received a different host and therefore didn't find the Time Matrix.

For some reason, I always thought the Chee were indestructible. I guess it was the whole "living for over 2000 years thing", but I don't remember the books ever saying that Erek--or any other Chee for that matter-- was hit by a Dracon Beam or shredder.

Are the Chee indestructible? Was there a point in the series where Erek said so?

If they break the "no-violence" rule, do they shut down? Or are they PHYSICALLY unable to do so (excluding the one-time-thing in the Android)
you know i think that they are just physically unable to hurt anyone

I dont know about Marxist undertones but certainly liberal...which nowadays borders on socialism.  Applegate is certainly disdainful of those who own firearms for somebody who wrote 60+ books about the human race being invaded and having to defend itself.  I recall most of a quote in one of the later books...I believe it was the last Megamorphs book "Back to Before" and I'll paraphrase but I'm positive it was very similar to "Tom owns a handgun?  Who really owns handguns?  Only criminals or pathetic people who want to feel important."

That annoyed me.  I was pretty sure she was liberal, but I wasn't aware that she was an ignorant hippy who is completely ignorant and out of touch with reality...but by the time I read that book I had read the first 50 books, and many of the first 20-25 books two, three, even ten times over...kinda too late to allow a clash of political ideologies to prevent me from reading anymore of her books.  Anyways, I'm trying to find all of the books in pdf file because I found them all a few months ago and like an idiot I didn'd save the site to my favorites so now I'm trying to find the site again.  I found them all on pdf or txt files or something, there was no download, no bit torrent, no amazon, no google books, no ebooks, nothing.  Just links to the pdf files and they popped right up, in a very clear, organized, easy-to-read fashion similar to the actual books themselves.  Please let me know if I may find them on this site.  I can't find them although I read in a couple of posts, threads, and underneath the links themselves when I searched for them on google, that they can be found on this site.

They cannot break the no-violence rule...it's not a rule or law that they just refuse to break...they ARE physically, electronically, mentally, etc., unable to perform any act of violence.  Their programming won't send any signal to their hands to pull a trigger...it won't send a signal to their legs to step on a gas pedal and run over somebody, even somebody yeerk infested.  They just can't do it.  They're not indestructable either.  They're just very strong, very resilient, and very technologically advanced.  However, there are a few different books in which they are damaged, there may even be one or two in which one of the Chee is destroyed.  I know Mr. King got fried in one book and didn't die but was badly damaged, and another in which Erek has some sort of virus and is harmed in that way instead of being physically assaulted.

First off, the ebooks have been removed at Scholastic's request. And secondly, maybe she was just being consistent with the views on owning firearms.
It's assumed that they lived in California, and if I'm right, they have pretty liberal views of gun ownership. Or you could be right and it was just Applegate's personal bias.
Not to mention that just because Jake thinks something doesn't mean that KA does. I'd be worried for her if all her narrators were mouthpieces, since she'd have some pretty conflicted ideology.

(That said, Everworld seems pretty anti-gun, but not enough for me to care.)

I have 2 questions.

What book does Tobias regain his morphing power?
What book does Marco run over trashcans sparking someone saying, "Do you hate trashcans?"

From which book is the quote <Hope...>?
« Reply #698 on: January 10, 2011, 11:00:44 PM »
Sorry to ask such a trivial question, but it is killing me.

I can't for the life of me remember or find the quote "<Hope...>" in any of the books.
I know that I read it and it seems like it was a very powerful quote, but I can't find the context.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

It was at the very, very end of "The Andalite Chronicles."

My hirac delest is done. I go in peace to my death. And I leave as my last legacy a single word for all the free peoples of the galaxy. <Hope . . .>
"When life gives you lemons you make lemonade. When a dying Andalite Prince gives you the morphing power? Well then you make miracles." ~Me

It's my favourite quote from my favourite book of the series. I'm sure many would agree. :)

Yeah, that sound very different than I remember it.
But, seeing as I was about 10 years old when I read that book, I can see that my perception of it has changed greatly.

Anyway, thanks for the help.

Okay, morphing question.
I know that morphing is based on DNA, and DNA never changes over your lifetime so, here's my question:
Is it possible that they might morph a different age than the animal they acquired?
