I know they have yellow eyes, but I don't know about fur color. I always pictured them being brown. Their eyes were described in HBC, and their hair color may be described there too.

I checked HBC, and couldn't find anything there.

both of these describe them as blue.
no confirmation, though.

Subject: I am a Gedd Head (They do rhyme, am I correct?

You probably won't get to these questions about my favorite alien species, because it was I who asked about those new alien chronicles, (that long one, but I have a few Gedd questions. If you can't answer them, I'll make up my own answer.

Will the Animorphs ever find a need to morph Gedds?

How is "Gedd" pronouced? With a "G" or a "J?"

You said the Gedds were native to the Yeerk homeworld. (Makes sense.) True or not?

    What color are they?

    Thanks a bunch!

Ah, finally, someone who likes the lowly Gedds.
Yes, it rhymes with "heads" and it's a hard "G",
    like "guess".

You know, I haven't done much thinking about the
Gedds. I know they are physically clumsy, and not
possessed of very acute senses. Otherwise the Yeerks
wouldn't be so anxious to move on and acquire more
    impressive hosts.

I picture them as sort of klutzy chimpanzees, almost,
perhaps with varied colords of fur. How do you see
    them?

Yeah, as I said to you in my earlier PM, I don't really trust fan sources without canon confirmation.  Someone somewhere probably said that they were blue, and then the rumor spread from there.

And, since KA herself says "varied colors of fur," my guess would be that even she doesn't really know what color they're supposed to be.  Which, I suppose, answers the question.  I was simply looking for an official canon answer, and it appears that answer is "I dunno."

well, the question was answered in 1997.
maybe she made up her mind since then?

Yeah, I suppose that's true.  Okay, well, that at least narrows the search down to books written after 1997.

What is Katherine's relationship to Micheal? Siblings?

It's Michael and they're married, lol.
Why do they have different last names, then? Applegate and Grant.

The Michael that the books are dedicated to is actually K.A's husband. Jake (who is later mentioned in all of the books as well) is her son.

Michael's last name isn't actually Grant. That's just a pseudonym he uses for the Gone Series. He did the same thing in Animorphs by using Michael Mates. His real last name is Reynolds. Here's a quote where he explains it himself:

"'Michael Grant' is my pen name for GONE. Michael Reynolds is my actual name. (I've also used Michael Mates, and between us K and I have used a number of other names.) And yes, I am Katherine Applegate's husband and co-author."

To further confuse matters... their son Jake's last name is Mates.

At least, that's what it says on Facebook and Stupid Blog Name.

And also... O.o lots of couples have different last names.

Hmm. Oh well. It was just a guess.

And to Genies9, that seems odd to me, but maybe it is just me. *shrug*

Whats the timeline of animorphs?  ie what year did the story start and end with maybe a few reference points in between.

I think the series started in '96, so the in universe beginning year was probably the same. However, the series went on for five years and the in universe war only lasted 3.

Why do you think KA had the war last 3 years instead of five?

Probably because the missions would have seemed too far apart for the Animorphs if the series had lasted 5 years for them.

There was something wierd with the e-book translation. No books were written like that.

After book 9 in the e-books, the formatting left a great deal to be desired.
