What is it and how does it change?
-
I'm not sure what you're talking about Underseen (which, I now realize, is ironic, since I've been seeing you around RAF quite frequently :)). But I think you're not talking about the running joke that RAFians have to be insane to join.
I now realize you mean the meter labelled the "Insanity meter". I don't know exactly (sorry 'bout that), but it's due to how active you are on the forum. I think.
Anyone correct me if I'm mistaken!

Insanity (previously Activity) is based on how much you post in a 30 day period. It goes up 0.2% for every post you make (including Bored Board posts), so if you have 100% it means you posted 500 times in the last 30 days.
It's just called "Insanity Level" as a joke, really. XD

It was hilarious the first time you notice it, not so much anymore. It's still cool though.

Yeah, I thought the term "Activity Level" kinda boring. I enjoy that RAF was able to personalize it to fit the site's inside jokes. ;D
As Steph said, the meter is based on a 30 day period, where 500 is the target number.
So if you post 250 posts on May 1st, then accrue 250 posts up to May 28th, on that day you'll be 100% active/Insane; on May 31st, your activity (Insanity) meter falls to 50% as half of the posts necessary were all on one day that is now out of range for the meter.

good to know! :)
