Animorphs refrences to non-Ani situations
« on: June 26, 2008, 01:25:05 PM »
Who else here has applied ani-logic to things that have nothing to do with animorphs? tell ur experiences here:

as I was watching Narnia: Prince Caspian on Sunday, I kept referring everything to Animorphs. like how Peter is the leader and has to make the decisions to save all of Narnia, and feels guilty when he makes decisions that result in death. I was just thinking "dude, just like Jake!" or when they are fighting I kept thinking those bad guys' leader seems as ruthless as visser 3, they could be buddies. also i think its peter in the movie says "we are just kids!" or something to that effect when they are getting ready to fight, and I'm like, dude, just like the animorphs! man I'm too obsessed with Animorphs, it's carrying over into my every day life ::) :P

May not be quite what you were after, but I've picked up a sort of superstition from my love of Animorphs. No matter how well something is going I will never, not under any circumstances say 'So far so good'.
And I've given other people hell for saying it too.

Yeah, in movies whenever someone gets hurt I want to say, "Demorph!" But I don't because like Esplin said people would think I was crazy...

It really doesn't matter what I say, my friends think I'm crazy anyway. But occasionally I will slip in a reference on the off chance that someone will get it. I'm always on the hunt for Ani-fans near me.

I refuse to remove this sig because of some petty argument. RAF must remain solid.

Haha yea I definately have to tone down my animorphs references, I used to try but after they were accompanied by so many blank stares I kinda gave up lol
I give it a shot with new people every now and again but it doesnt work out well very often

I actually do this a lot, and anytime on pops up, I have a laughing reflex that I have to try really hard to fight.
There's a method to my madness, I just haven't figured it out yet.

I try to use some of Marco's jokes when i'm writing... it's kinda fun actually... :)
I'm just a writer, and my main goal was always to entertain. But I've never let Animorphs turn into just another painless video game version of war, and I wasn't going to do it at the end. I've spent 60 books telling a strange, fanciful war story, sometimes very seriously, sometimes more tongue-in-cheek. I've written a lot of action and a lot of humor and a lot of sheer nonsense. But I have also, again and again, challenged readers to think about what they were reading. To th

When I am talking to people, I use as many Ani references as possible. Then people will think I am crazy nerd, and I can find out who my real friends are.
Until then we fight.

sounds like a good way to make friends to me ;D

another thing that i always refer back to the animorphs with is when i see ppl trying to figure technology out. i'm just like, dude Ax is a teenager, and he'd have that up and running so fast, and u can't even turn it on? then i remember Ax doesn't exist and say nothing :P
