Animorphs refrences to non-Ani situations
« on: June 26, 2008, 01:25:05 PM »
Who else here has applied ani-logic to things that have nothing to do with animorphs? tell ur experiences here:

as I was watching Narnia: Prince Caspian on Sunday, I kept referring everything to Animorphs. like how Peter is the leader and has to make the decisions to save all of Narnia, and feels guilty when he makes decisions that result in death. I was just thinking "dude, just like Jake!" or when they are fighting I kept thinking those bad guys' leader seems as ruthless as visser 3, they could be buddies. also i think its peter in the movie says "we are just kids!" or something to that effect when they are getting ready to fight, and I'm like, dude, just like the animorphs! man I'm too obsessed with Animorphs, it's carrying over into my every day life ::) :P

May not be quite what you were after, but I've picked up a sort of superstition from my love of Animorphs. No matter how well something is going I will never, not under any circumstances say 'So far so good'.
And I've given other people hell for saying it too.

Yeah, in movies whenever someone gets hurt I want to say, "Demorph!" But I don't because like Esplin said people would think I was crazy...

It really doesn't matter what I say, my friends think I'm crazy anyway. But occasionally I will slip in a reference on the off chance that someone will get it. I'm always on the hunt for Ani-fans near me.

I refuse to remove this sig because of some petty argument. RAF must remain solid.

I actually do this a lot, and anytime on pops up, I have a laughing reflex that I have to try really hard to fight.
There's a method to my madness, I just haven't figured it out yet.

I try to use some of Marco's jokes when i'm writing... it's kinda fun actually... :)
I'm just a writer, and my main goal was always to entertain. But I've never let Animorphs turn into just another painless video game version of war, and I wasn't going to do it at the end. I've spent 60 books telling a strange, fanciful war story, sometimes very seriously, sometimes more tongue-in-cheek. I've written a lot of action and a lot of humor and a lot of sheer nonsense. But I have also, again and again, challenged readers to think about what they were reading. To th

When I am talking to people, I use as many Ani references as possible. Then people will think I am crazy nerd, and I can find out who my real friends are.
Until then we fight.

sounds like a good way to make friends to me ;D

another thing that i always refer back to the animorphs with is when i see ppl trying to figure technology out. i'm just like, dude Ax is a teenager, and he'd have that up and running so fast, and u can't even turn it on? then i remember Ax doesn't exist and say nothing :P

There was a country song once about a guy who lost his wife, and every time I heard it I thought of Marco's dad and Eva.

It hasn't played in a while, so I don't know many words anymore. It struck me as funny, though, that I would think of Marco's dad singing that song.

I'ma restart this thread:

for my bird exam on wed, i used my ani knowledge. for the question bout which bird would be good at flapping at night for the bird wings at that station i was like "well, thats an owl wing, and i know they never could flap constantly at night, the anis who morphed owls would always say. thats a hawk wing, and i member how much tobias would complain bout flying at night, so he for sure isnt it......." :P

and in this brazillian soap opera im watching the girl would say  nothing by yes to the guy, and it brought back memories of book 8 :P

...if u can't talk about animorphs obsessions on RAF, then where can u talk bout them? ..."
I second that!

OMG! There were quite a few, but it's hard to recall now!
I think even today a part of me secretly wants to punch any person who I acquaint to be named 'David'... And that's quite a few, let me tell you... Heheheheh!
If they turn out to be 'good Davids', like my friend, I just add the 'Everworld David' connotation to them. HAH!

There used to be this girl with a serious twitch in my school, I used to ask subtle things that would ALWAYS result on 'oatmeal for breakie' talk. She used to think I was funny, clueless to the fact that was on to her, you see, I was convinced she was a Controller. Hehehehe!

You know, sometimes I see people that look like how I imagine the animorphs characters.
Like I saw this one guy who looked exactly how I pictured Marco...
Hmmm... I've always got the mental picture of my HighSchool Principal when Chapman is in mind. Wonder why... The guy looked like a politician, being tall, bold and sporting a mo... surely that is intimidating on its own in the mind of a teenager.

lol I leave little traces of animorphs when I do my schoolwork, Just incase an animorph is watching :P

HAHHAHAHA! This is so funny!!!

Yeah, in movies whenever someone gets hurt I want to say, "Demorph!" But I don't because like Esplin said people would think I was crazy...
OMG! This one is GOLD!!! So many movies you can secretly yell that in. Hahahahahahah!

Hahaha! I once started a dinosaur argument with a friend after reading MM2. Since none of us had the facts straight, but for me with this fiction series, the argument became a bit silly in the end.
What Brazilian Soap Opera was this, estrid?!

(Gafrash) [sorry I don't know how to do the purple box thing] I also pictured chapman as my highschool principal nearly bald and overweight, and back when I was a kid there was an episode of Arther (I think) and they used this "Vegemorphs" parody (probably because they are already animals).
