Hahahahah! The Power-Rangers-Marco reference is gold!
It's coming along well, QIfry! Maybe you should become a colourist if you're having fun!!
But just a few constructive enquiries, are you using the book covers as a reference, though?!
How does Ax have that grayish-patch in his hands and in his front and at the tail? His blue should be a lighter tone, to mimic the blue-and-tanned-fur he's described in the book. And isn't Marco's skin tone slightly darker than Jake+Rachel's, but lighter than Cassie's?!
And the way you did the Tobias/hawk is really cool.
To push this drawing, I think it needs a light source. The one you've made for Jake and Cassie seem to work out. But it would mean fixing up the other characters to match, and making parts of the shadow areas significantly darker. It would work out!!

You're both the only ones who have shown any colouring so far!
So two thumbs up!! Great job!!!

Marco's pants blend in too much with the background for my tastes.  I really like what you did with Tobias though.
YOU'RE WINNER !

I like it, but I'm not sure Rachel would ever be caught dead in white jeans.

Why not? White jeans are considered fashionable a lot of the time and she is the fashion queen.

I'll probably end up editing it some because I'm still not fully happy with it, but I wanted to get this up so you knew what I was doing.

Well with Marco's skin color, I was going for a more olive-tone because when I saw of how Marco was join, he honestly looks like John Leguizamo. John is a bit on the pale side but still a tad olive.

BTW, shading/light sourcing/etc is not my forte. I like I said, this is an experiment. I'm more familiar with cel-shade type.
And no, I didn't use any references at all. I was really trying to make all of this from my memory and then do a bit of a spin on it.

looks good, but i don't like it how the fur on ax's arms just ends at his wrists... it looks like it's a shirt

Both colourings are good, of course! I am assuming you guys used Photoshop, I was just saying if you wanted to push your colouring more, Photoshop is a good tool.
But I agree with the different colours making it looking a bit like he's sporting long-sleeves. Perhaps it was my purposefully drawing the tufts of hair there. But I got no idea where you guys are getting the different colours on the hands and chest patch from?!

Dude, I know the hands are REALLY obvious there, but not so much in the other covers Aximili featured. I think the tones are a little more subtle.
:D Regardless, great effort from you guys. Thanks for the colouring! :D
